Micah Calloway and three other employees for Traffic and Lighting Systems were tearing down a light pole near the NW Expressway and 63rd street in Oklahoma City when things took a terrifying turn.

"It was too windy that day and it was too wet that day," said Calloway.

Calloway says the light pole was connected to a crane. He and the other crew members were holding on and helping to move him when the wind brought him too close to a nearby power line that had not been interrupted.

"The next thing I know is that it was just" wahwahwah "in my head and I said to myself:" I am electrocuting, it will pass, it will pass, it will pass "," recalled Calloway.

Calloway went dark and got stuck on the pole for a few seconds. Fortunately, EMSA paramedics were not far away.

"I remember waking up once and I didn't know where I was and I was fighting for my life and I was screaming, screaming and fighting for my life," he said.

The father of two, with a third child only a month after birth, was rushed to the hospital. He didn't wake up for about 32 hours, but not before what he says was a miracle.

“Just before I came, I saw Jesus - standing there. He didn't have his arms open like this, he had just made them right here and he was looking at me. He was just looking at me, "he said.

Calloway says the image is stuck in his mind. “He is handsome and has a little beard. He has long hair and wonderful eyes. I will never forget it, "he said.

Calloway has undergone 13 surgeries for her physical scars and counseling for emotions. He is now preparing to return to work for the same company, doing the same job later this month.

He is nervous but says the company has been there for him through all of this. He says he is now holding on to the miraculous moment to give it strength.

“He showed me himself, somehow, somehow for some reason. So I'm here for something, ”he said. "
