Two women were healed from joking in Medjugorje

Countless testimonies of miraculous healings of pilgrims who return from Medjugorje every year.

If the first news regarding the apparitions of Our Lady in Medjugorje acted as a call for the whole world, allowing this small country on the border between Bosnia and Croatia to have an out of the ordinary media coverage, over the years what was simple curiosity due to an unusual phenomenon, it turned into a drive for conversion and faith. For years now, in many countries of the world, they are eagerly awaiting new messages from Our Lady (here is the latest dating back to February 2, 2019) and there is great curiosity to know what are the 10 secrets to which the visionaries refer.

Although grace is not a due act and the pilgrimage is more a search for God and eternity in the world, there is no doubt that the continuous testimony concerning miraculous healings has had its influence in making people interested in this relatively new place of worship Marian. If in fact visible miracles such as the dance of the sun or the crosses in the sky serve the faithful as a stimulus to accept the messages of the Madonna, healings are what pushes many faithful to see what is true in the testimonies of the pilgrims.

Miracles of Medjugorje: two women recovered from multiple sclerosis
Among the alleged miraculous healings witnessed on the sites that collect the miracles of Medjugorje, two stand out particularly. They concern healing from an illness for which no cure has yet been found.

Diana's healing
The first story is about Diana Basile, a woman from Cosenza born in 1940. In 1975 the woman discovers that she has this terrible disease. 11 years of therapies to contrast the effects of sclerosis, without result, his conditions worsened. Diana thus decides for her first trip to Medjugorje. on May 25, 1984, Diana was in the side room of the Church of San Giacomo while all the faithful followed the apparition, the woman felt a heat that pervaded the body and after a few moments she realized she was healed. He relates that for joy he walked barefoot to the top of the hill of the apparitions to thank the Madonna.

Rita's healing
The second case concerns a woman from Pittsburg (United States): Rita Klaus. A teacher and mother of three, the woman has lived with multiple sclerosis for 26 years. The doctors' opinion had been precise: nothing could have helped her. In 1984 he became aware of what was happening in Medjugorje and was documented through Laurentin Rupcic's book 'Our Lady appears in Medjugorje'. The press of the time had strongly emphasized the healing of Diana Basile. Struck by the testimonies reported in the book, the woman accepts the call of Our Lady to her conversion and begins to pray daily. One day, while praying, he felt a diffused heat, the same as Diana's. The following morning the disease had miraculously disappeared.

The two healings, at such a short distance of time and in the same ways, for many may seem linked to others simply by chance. It is not we who want to make a judgment on this. What we can say is that conversion is already a miracle in itself. Prudence must always be applied in certain cases. But what reason is there to doubt these testimonies if in fact in both cases there are abundant medical records?
