He leaves the coma thanks to the prayer to the Saint. Miracle in Taranto

On April 13, 1817 Nunzio Sulprizio was born in Pescosansonesco (Pescara), to parents of humble origins. He was immediately an orphan of both parents, and was entrusted to the care of his uncle, who deemed it appropriate for Nunzio to work to contribute to the income. But the frail constitution of Nunzio did not stand up to efforts, and immediately the boy fell ill.

He tried to heal himself in Naples, but nothing managed to heal him, so much so that he died nineteen. In the meantime, although people tended to marginalize him because he feared contagion, Nunzio gained fame for being very devoted to Our Lady, so much so that a Sanctuary was erected in his name, and the Church declared him Venerable first, and Blessed then, protector of the disabled and the victims of work.

Today the Diocese of Taranto has asked for the procedure for canonization, as a miracle attributed to his intercession is being examined by the Vatican. A boy from Taranto, extremely devoted to Blessed Nunzio, enough to keep a photo in his wallet, suffered a motorcycle accident, for which he entered a comatose and vegetative state.

His parents obtained that a relic of Blessed Nuncio be placed in the resuscitation room to ask for a miraculous recovery, and the boy's forehead was bathed with his blessed water. Within four months, the boy from Taranto recovered all his vital functions, inexplicably leaving the vegetative state in which he had fallen after the accident.
