Spiritual exercises: respect the will of God

Sometimes when we love God with deep love, we may find that we have strong impulses to do great things for God. Yet despite our desire and firm determination, it may seem that God does not allow our work to go on. This may be due to the fact that the Lord is not ready to act. Although it is nice to have a strong desire to do great things for God, we must always remember that our desires must align with the perfect timing and wisdom of the Will of God. He knows better and will allow the inspiring work to be done when he wishes to before. Giving up your impulses to God is a way to let God cleanse the work that calls you to make it ultimately His work in us and not our work done in accordance with our idea of what is good. The will of God is immovable and all the desires and desires of the world will not push him to act contrary to his perfect plan established at the perfect moment. Humble yourself before God so that he blesses the world with his mercy through you in the way he wishes (See Diary n. 1389).

Do you have a heart full of desire to serve our Lord? I hope so. Reflect on these desires and know that they satisfy our Lord. But also reflect on the fact that, if they want to achieve perfection, even the purest desire must be submitted to the Will of God. Make that prayerful resolution today and God will use your sincere desire to manifest his Heart of Mercy to the world.

PRAYER

Lord, I wish to serve you with all my heart. Please increase that desire and purify it so that my will dissolves into yours. Help me to let go of my "good" ideas as I submit to your wisdom and love. I love you, dear Lord, and I want to be used by you in accordance with your perfect Will. Jesus I believe in you.

EXERCISE: YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY RESPECT AND ACCEPT THE WILL OF GOD. YOU MUST ALWAYS PLAN YOUR LIFE IN DOING THINGS AND SATISFY YOUR VOCATION BUT ALL IN RESPECT OF THE WILL OF GOD ACCORDING TO HIS TIMES. THEREFORE IN EVERYTHING THAT GOES IN LIFE SEE WHAT REALLY GOD WANTS FROM US AND IF WE HAVE NOT IMMEDIATELY ANSWER WE MUST SEARCH WAIT AND GO FORWARD UNTIL WHEN WE REALLY KNOW WHAT GOD SEEKS FROM US.
