Spiritual exercises: to see nothing but to be worthy of Christ

It is a grace of God to see us as we are. And what will we see if we see ourselves in this way? We will see our misery and nothingness. In the beginning, this may not be so desirable. It may even seem contrary to the dignity we have in Christ. But that's the key. Our dignity is "in Christ". Without him, we are nothing. We are unhappiness and nothing alone.

Today, don't be offended or afraid to recognize your "nothing". If at first it doesn't suit you, ask God by grace to see you as you are without Him. You will quickly see that without our divine Savior, you are truly miserable in every way. This is the starting point for deep gratitude as it allows you to more fully accomplish all that God has done for you. And when you see this, you will rejoice that he has come to meet you in this nothingness and raised you to the dignity of His precious son.

PRAYER

Lord, I can see my misery and my misery today. I can understand that without you I am nothing. And in that realization, help me become eternally grateful for the precious gift of becoming your dear son in grace. Jesus I believe in you.

EXERCISE: LET'S GET INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD AND SEE OUR NOTHING. WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT EVERYTHING WE ARE AND HAVE COMES FROM GOD AND IS HIS GIFT. AS A PRACTICAL ACTION TODAY WE WILL LOOK FOR A POOR AND WITH HIM WE WILL DEDICATE FIVE MINUTES OF OUR EXISTENCE AND WE WILL DO A WORK OF CHARITY. AFTER WE WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THAT OUR DIVERSITY WITH THAT POOR IS BASED ONLY ON THE DIFFERENCE OF THE GIFTS DISTRIBUTED BY GOD.
