Exorcist asks for naked photos in exchange for prayers

The TV broadcast of TV2000 Ai Confini del Sacro long ago aired an episode about a fake healer who asked for photos of naked women in exchange for prayers for healing and release.

All came to light thanks to a woman who asked for her help. The alleged exorcist asked for a nude photo of the gentleman saying that he had to use it to give us special prayers above. So the lady seemed strange to him the attitude and request of the alleged exorcist declaring the case.

Today I wanted to offer you the very particular story of this lady to highlight a much broader topic: the unauthorized exorcists.

In fact, care must be taken when deciding that you need prayers for liberation, you must go to your Bishop who is the only one authorized by the Church to make solemn exorcisms. Or the Bishop can send you to one of his priests who has directly charged him.

Be careful to ask exorcisms from lay people and unauthorized people. Often the Lord Jesus can give the gift of liberation even to a layman, but then when his request is accompanied by money or strange things such as in this case nude photos, pay close attention and immediately report the case as this lady did.

Exorcism in the Catholic Church is a sacrament made as a true rite established by the Church of Rome. So it is unthinkable that a simple lay person who has no experience in this regard, does not know the liturgy in detail, is not authorized, can make a liberation and fight the devil.

In fact, in the rite of exorcism and liberation we must be certain that a fight with the evil one takes place, therefore it takes people who are authorized and spiritually mature to carry out this gesture. According to the decisions of the Church, these people are the Bishops who in turn can delegate a priest in their diocese called the exorcist. Obviously the Bishop appoints that priest since he considers him capable and mature in his role.

Then there are the liberation prayers that everyone can do. So it is useless to go to these people since the prayers they make can also be done on ourselves or on a loved one.

So be very careful when looking for someone who specializes in exorcisms. Sure, there will also be good lay people who work with Faith, but be careful, look for the Church and avoid running into bad experiences.
