Extraordinary episode that happened in Caivano says Don Maurizio: "the child remains contemplating the Eucharist"

Today we want to tell you about an episode that testifies to the innocence and pure heart of children. In the parish of "San Paolo Apostolo" in Caivano, Naples, an extraordinary episode occurred during Sunday mass, at the time ofEucharist. The priest, Don Maurizio Patriciello, tells it through a post on his Facebook page.

Communion

While Don Maurizio, celebrates mass as usual, at the moment of the Eucharist a man approaches him child to receive communion. Despite his young age, the child wants to participate in this important moment. The priest stops and shows him theconsecrated host.

At that moment he is struck by that clear and deep look who gets lost contemplating the Eucharist, as if he had seen the most beautiful thing in the world. Even though he was very small and couldn't understand what was in front of him, he remained enraptured.

His eyes remain fixed on that to observe what Don Maurizio shows him. Maybe the child he doesn't know that the priest has many hosts and that it wouldn't change anything if he gave him one. However, he understands that there is something bigger and at the same time, than beautiful in front of him.

The child's amazement and his gaze fixed on the Eucharist

Don Maurizio and the child remain in silence for quite a while, while the faithful come and remain fascinated to observe them. Someone takes a photo of this unique moment. Although many may define the photo as intimate or personal, Don Maurizio decided to share it on his Facebook page with all of us.

The priest in the post concludes with a prayer in which he finally asks the Sir the innocent look of children. This is an invitation for each of us to have a pure heart and an innocent look like that of children, which manage to remain enchanted faced with something whose meaning they cannot even understand. In fact, too often we are distracted by problems and thoughts which push us not to give the right importance and value to what should count, such as the moment of the Eucharist during mass.
