Brother Biagio through a spiritual testament, leaves a message of faith and love

Brother Biagio is the founder of the mission “Hope and Charity”, which helps hundreds of needy Palermitans every day. Died at the age of 59 after a long battle against colon cancer, he leaves a beautiful memory through his spiritual testament, a message of hope and trust, which invites all believers to live their faith with passion and courage, to serve the others with generosity and to pray unceasingly for the good of the whole world.

What message did Brother Biagio want to leave in his will

Brother Biagio's spiritual testament is a document of rare beauty and depth, which represents a precious testimony of faith and love for God and neighbor. In this testament, he reveals his soul as a man of God, full of enthusiasm and hope, but also of great humility and a deep awareness of his limitations and weaknesses.

Brother Biagio then talks about the love he has always felt for the nature and for animals, which have always reminded him of the greatness and goodness of God. He has always seen in every creature the reflection of divine love, which gives life and beauty to the whole world.

For this reason, he has always tried to be a witness of justice and peace, fighting for the rights of the least and the weakest and trying to spread hope and optimism especially among young people.

But the whole point of the will is his testimony of faith in Christ and in his Church. Brother Biagio speaks of his choice of life as a response to the love of God, who called him to serve others and to pray for them. In particular, he claims to have found in the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi his life model, a man who loved Christ above all things and embraced poverty as a sign of Christian virtues.

He also talks about his own doubts and fears, the temptations he had to face and the moments of spiritual crisis he experienced. But in every circumstance, he entrusted himself to the mercy of God and to the guidance of the Church, seeking to follow the path of holiness with humility and trust.
