GABRIELLE BITTERLICH AND THE BURNING SUPPLEMENT TO THE GUARDIAN ANGELS
Many Christians recite the ardent plea to the holy angels of God, because it is reported in many prayer books, but they do not know who composed it. The author of the petition to heavenly spirits is the Austrian Gabrielle Bitterlich, founder of the Catholic association Opus Angelorum. Gabrielle was born in Vienna on November 1, 1896 in Vienna. Since childhood she has been visibly guided by the guardian angel on the path of obedience to the will of God. On 23 May 1919 she married Hans Bitterlich in Insbruch. While faithfully fulfilling the duties of bride and mother with three children plus three war orphans adopted, she helps the poor and the sick, she engages in the prayer of atonement especially for priests and religious. He participates spiritually in the Lord's Passion every Friday. In 1949 he started Opus Angelorum. In 1961 the bishop of Innsbruck erected the brotherhood of the guardian angels. In 1971, a widow for ten years she moved to the castle of San Oetesberg, near Insbruck, where she died on April 4, 1978. The petition is recited not only by members of Opus Angelorum but also by members of the Militia association of St. Michael the Archangel who recite it every Tuesday evening when they do the weekly "Angelic cenacle". At the beginning of each meeting on angels which is held annually on 1 and 2 June in Campagna (SA) at the Abbey of Santa Maria La Nova, the soldiers of San Michele solemnly recite it. Here is the text of the plea:
“O GOD ONE AND TRINE, ALMIGHTY AND ETERNAL!
Before begging the holy Angels and asking for their help, we, Your servants, prostrate ourselves at Your feet and adore You, Father and Son and Holy Spirit! May You be praised and glorified for ever and all the Angels and men you have created will adore You, love You and serve You, O Holy GOD, Strong and Immortal!
You too, Mary, Queen of all Angels, / welcome benevolently our pleading to Your servants / and forward it to the Throne of the Most High. / You who can do everything with the power of Your supplication / and you are Mediatrix of all graces, / let us find grace, salvation and help! Amen.
You holy Angels, powerful and glorious! You were given to us by God, for our protection and our help!
We beg you in the Name of GOD, One and Triune: come to our aid soon!
We implore you in the Name of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ: come quickly to our help!
We implore you in the Almighty Name of Jesus: come quickly to our help!
We beg you for the wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ: come to our aid soon!
We implore you for all the martyrdoms of Our Lord Jesus Christ: come quickly to our help!
We beg you for the holy Word of GOD: come quickly to our help!
We beg you for the Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ: come quickly to our help!
We implore you in the Name of Love of GOD for us miserable: come quickly to our help!
We implore you in the name of the faithfulness of GOD towards us miserable: come quickly to our help!
We implore you in the name of the Mercy of GOD towards us miserable: come quickly to our help!
We implore you in the Name of Mary, Mother of GOD and our Mother: come quickly to our help!
We beg you in the Name of Mary, Queen of heaven and earth: come quickly to our aid!
We beg you in the Name of Mary, your Queen and Lady: come quickly to our aid!

We beg you for your commitment in the struggle for the Kingdom of GOD: come to our aid soon!

We beg you: place us in the hands of Mary!
We implore you: show us the way to the door of life: the open Heart of Our Lord!
We beg you: lead us safely to the Father's House!
All of you, nine choirs of the blessed Spirits: come quickly to our aid!
You, who have been given by God as our particular companions: come to our aid soon!

The Precious Blood of Our Lord and King was shed for us poor people: hurry up to help us, we beg you!
The Heart of Our Lord and King beats with love for us poor people: hurry up to help us, we beg you!
The Immaculate Heart of Mary Most Holy, your Queen, beats with love for us poor people: hurry up to help us, we beg you!
SAINT MICHELE ARCANGELO!
You, Prince of the Heavenly Militias, Winner of the infernal dragon, have received from God the strength and power to annihilate with pride the pride of the powers of darkness!
We beg you, / help us to have a true humility of heart, / an unwavering fidelity to always fulfill the will of GOD / and the fortress in suffering and need! / Help us to overcome the judgment of the Tribunal of GOD!
SAINT GABRIEL ARCHANGEL!
You, Angel of the Incarnation, faithful Messenger of GOD, open our ears to listen to the sweet calls and invitations of the loving heart of Our Lord!
Always be in front of ours, / we beg you / that we understand the word of GOD well, / we follow it, we obey it / and we accomplish what GOD wants from us! / Help us to be vigilant and ready, / that the Lord will find us awake upon His arrival!
SAINT RAFFAEL THE ARCANGEL!
You Arrow of love and Medicine of Love of GOD,
we beg you, / wound our heart with the ardent love of GOD / and let this wound never close, / so that even in everyday life / we can always remain on the path of love, / and overcome everything with the love!
HELP US, SAINTS AND GLORIOUS BROTHERS, SERVE WITH US BEFORE GOD!
Defend us from ourselves, / from our own cowardice and lukewarmness, / from our selfishness, / from our desire to possess, / from envy, from mistrust, from greed / and from the desire to be admired!
Free us from the chains of sin and from attachment to earthly things!
Remove from our eyes the blindfold that we have put on ourselves / not to see the misery that surrounds us / and to be able to contemplate and feel sorry for ourselves!
Put in our hearts the purpose of seeking GOD with yearning desire, with repentance and with love!
Look at the Precious Blood of Our Lord / scattered for us miserable!
Look at the tears that your Queen cried because of us miserable!
Look at us in the image of GOD / which He himself has imprinted in our soul / and which is now ruined by our sins!
Help us to recognize and worship God, to love and serve Him!
Help us in the fight against the powers of the darkness / that surround us and torment us furtively! / Help us so that none of us will be lost / and so one day we will be united rejoicing in eternal bliss! / Amen.

The plea ends with the hugely popular Catholic prayer to the Guardian Angel: “Angel of GOD, who are my Guardian, illuminate, guard, rule and govern me, who was entrusted to you by heavenly Piety. Amen.".
