Jesus promises "I will give everything" with this devotion

At the age of 18 a Spaniard joined the novices of the Piarist fathers in Bugedo. He regularly pronounced the vows and distinguished himself for perfection and love. In October 1926 he offered himself to Jesus through Mary. Immediately after this heroic donation, he fell and was immobilized. He died holy in March 1927. He was also a privileged soul who received messages from heaven. Its director asked him to write the promises made by Jesus to those who assiduously practice the VIA CRUCIS. They are:

1. I will give everything that is asked of Me in faith during the Via Crucis

2. I promise eternal life to all those who pray the Via Crucis from time to time with pity.

3. I will follow them everywhere in life and will help them especially in the hour of their death.

4. Even if they have more sins than the grains of sea sand, all will be saved from the practice of the Way

Crucis. (this does not remove the obligation to avoid sin and confess regularly)

5. Those who pray the Via Crucis frequently will have special glory in heaven.

6. I will release them from purgatory (as long as they go there) on the first Tuesday or Saturday after their death.

7. There I will bless every Way of the Cross and My blessing will follow them everywhere on earth, and after their death,

even in heaven for eternity.

8. At the hour of death I will not allow the devil to tempt them, I will leave them all faculties for them

may they rest peacefully in My arms.

9. If they pray the Via Crucis with true love, I will transform each of them into a living ciborium in which I am

I will be pleased to make My grace flow.

10. I will fix My gaze on those who will often pray the Via Crucis, My hands will always be open

to protect them.

11. Since I am crucified on the cross I will always be with those who will honor Me, praying the Via Crucis

frequently.

12. They will never be able to separate (involuntarily) from Me again, for I will give them the grace of not

never commit mortal sins again.

13. At the hour of death I will console them with my Presence and We will go together to Heaven. DEATH WILL BE

SWEET FOR ALL THOSE WHO HONORED ME, DURING THEIR LIFE, PRAYING

THE VIA CRUCIS.

14. My spirit will be a protective cloth for them and I will always help them whenever they turn to

it.

Promises made to brother Stanìslao (1903-1927) “I want you to know more deeply the love with which My Heart burns towards souls and you will understand it when you meditate on My Passion. I will not deny anything to the soul who prays to Me in the name of My Passion. An hour of meditation on My painful Passion has a greater merit than a whole year of blood lashing. " Jesus to S. Faustina Kovalska.

PRAYER OF THE VIA CRUCIS

XNUMXst station: Jesus is sentenced to death

We adore you Christ and bless you, because with your holy cross you redeemed the world

From the Gospel according to Mark (Mk 15,12: 15-XNUMX)

Pilate replied, "What, then, will I do with what you call the king of the Jews?" And they again shouted, "Crucify him!" But Pilate said to them, "What harm has he done?" Then they shouted louder: "Crucify him!" And Pilate, wanting to satisfy the multitude, released Barabbas to them and, after having scourged Jesus, handed him over to be crucified. "

Lord Jesus, how many times have you been sentenced over the centuries? And even today, how many times do I allow you to be sentenced in schools, at work, in fun situations? Help me, so that my life is not a continuous "washing my hands", to get away from uncomfortable situations, but rather teach me to get my hands dirty, to take on my responsibilities, to live with the awareness of being able to do with my choices so well but also very bad.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Guide along the way.

II station: Jesus is loaded with the cross

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

from the Gospel according to Matthew (Mt 27,31)

"After mocking him, they stripped him of his cloak, made him put on his clothes and took him away to crucify him."

Carrying the cross is not simple, Lord, and you know it well: the weight of the wood, the feeling of not making it and then loneliness ... how lonely it feels to carry its crosses. When I feel tired and I think nobody can understand me, remind me that you are always there, make me feel your presence alive and give me the strength to continue my journey towards you.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my support in suffering.

III station: Jesus falls the first time

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

Book of the Prophet Isaiah (Is 53,1-5)

"... He took on our sufferings, took on our pains ... He was pierced for our crimes, crushed for our iniquities."

I ask your forgiveness, Lord, for all the times that I have not been able to bear the weight that you have entrusted to me. You had placed your trust in me, you had given me the tools to walk but I didn't make it: tired, I fell. But also your Son has fallen under the weight of the cross: His strength in getting up gives me the determination that You ask me in every activity I do during the day.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Strength in the falls of life.

IV station: Jesus meets his Most Holy Mother

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to Luke (Lk 2, 34-35)

“Simon blessed them and spoke to Mary, his mother:« He is here for the ruin and resurrection of many in Israel, a sign of contradiction for the thoughts of many hearts to be revealed. And to you also a sword will pierce the soul »."

How important is a mother's love for her child! Often in silence, a mother takes care of her children and is a constant point of reference for them. Today, Lord, I want to pray to you for those mothers who suffer from misunderstandings with their children, who think they have done everything wrong and also for those mothers who have not yet fully understood the mystery of motherhood: Mary be their example, the their guide and their comfort.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my brother in love for parents.

XNUMXth station: Jesus helped by Cyreneus

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to Luke (Lk 23,26:XNUMX)

"As they led him away, they took a certain Simon of Cyrene who came from the countryside and put the cross on him to carry after Jesus."

Lord, You said "Take my yoke above you and learn from me, who am meek and humble in heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls. My yoke is in fact sweet and my load light. " Give me the courage to take on me the weight of those around me. Often those who are oppressed by unbearable burdens just need to be heard. Open my ears and my heart and, above all, make my listening full of prayer.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Ear in listening to your brother.

XNUMXth station: Jesus meets Veronica

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Book of the Prophet Isaiah (Is 52, 2-3)

"He has no appearance or beauty to attract our eyes ... Despised and rejected by men, a man of pain who knows well how to suffer, like someone in front of which you cover your face."

How many faces I have already met on my way! And how many more I will meet! Lord, I thank you, because you loved me so much, to give me people who would wipe my sweat away, who would take care of me for free, only because You asked them to. Now, with a cloth in your hands, show me where to go, which faces to dry, which brothers to help, but above all help me to make each meeting special, so that I can, through the other, see You, infinite Beauty.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Master in free love.

VII station: Jesus falls the second time

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the first letter of St. Peter the apostle (2,22-24)

“He did not commit sin and did not find deception on his mouth, outraged he did not respond with outrages, and suffering he did not threaten revenge, but gave his cause to the one who judges with justice.

He carried our sins in his body on the wood of the cross, so that by no longer living for sin, we lived for justice. "

Who among us, after a holy repentance, after so many good intentions, has not again fallen into the abyss of sin? The road is long and, on the way, the stumbling blocks can be many: sometimes it is difficult to raise your foot and avoid the obstacle, sometimes it is difficult to choose the longest road. But no obstacle, Lord, is insurmountable for me, if the Spirit of fortitude remains, which You have given me. After each relapse, help me invoke the help of the Holy Ghost to take me by the hand and raise me up once again.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Lamp in the darkness of darkness.

VIII station: Jesus meets the pious women

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to Luke (Lk 23,27-29)

“He was followed by a large crowd of people and women who beat their breasts and made complaints about him. But turning to the women, Jesus said: «Daughters of Jerusalem, do not cry over me, but weep over yourself and your children. Behold, days will come when it will be said: blessed are the barren and the wombs that have not generated and the breasts that have not breastfed »"

How much grace, Lord, you have lavished in the world through women: for many centuries they have been considered little more than nothing, but You already two thousand years ago rightly attributed to them the same dignity as men. Please, so that every woman understands how precious it is to Your eyes, she spends more time taking care of her inner beauty than her outer one; make her capable of being ever more peacemaking and not allowing anyone to abuse her.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my milestone in the search for the essential.

IX station: Jesus falls the third time

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Book of the Prophet Isaiah (Is 53,7: 12-XNUMX)

“Abused, he let himself be humiliated and did not open his mouth; he was like a lamb brought to the slaughterhouse, like a silent sheep in front of his shearers, and he did not open his mouth.

He handed himself over to death and was counted among the wicked, while he carried the sin of many and interceded for sinners. "

To do Your will is not always easy: You ask man a lot, because you know he can give a lot; you never give him a cross that he is unable to carry. Once again, Lord, I have fallen, I no longer have the strength to get up, all is lost; but if You made it, then with Your help I can do it too. Please, my God, for all those times when I feel exhausted, broken, desperate. The gratuitousness of forgiveness overcomes my despair and does not make me surrender: for I always have a clear goal, that is to run towards you with open arms.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Perseverance in temptations.

Station X: Jesus is stripped and watered with gall

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to John (Jn 19,23-24)

"The soldiers then ..., took his clothes and made four parts, one for each soldier, and the tunic. Now that tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. So they said to each other: Let's not tear it up, but we'll cast lots for whoever it is. "

How many times selfishness prevails over everything! How many times people's pain has left me indifferent! How many times have I witnessed scenes or listened to stories in which a man has been stripped of even his dignity! Lord, do not make me like those soldiers who shared your clothes and drew lots to get your tunic, but help me to fight so that each human being can really feel like that, and that, even if in my smallness, it helps to destroy the many forms of humiliation that still fill our world today.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Defense in the fight against evil.

XNUMXth station: Jesus is nailed to the cross

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to Luke (Lk 23,33-34)

“When they reached the place called Cranio, there they crucified him and the two criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. Jesus said: "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing". "

The terrible moment has come: the hour of Your crucifixion. I ask you forgiveness for the nails stuck in your hands and feet; I ask you to forgive me if because of my sin I contributed to that crucifixion; at the same time, however, I thank you for your love without measure, which you have never questioned. Who would I be today if You hadn't saved me? Your cross is there, dry wood of death; but already I see that dry wood become fruitful wood, tree of Life on Easter day. Will I ever be able to say THANK YOU enough?

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Savior in this valley of tears.

XII station: Jesus dies on the cross

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to John (Jn 19,26-30)

“Jesus saw his mother and, beside her, his favorite disciple. Then he said to his mother, "Woman, here is your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that moment the disciple took her to his home. Knowing that everything had now been accomplished, he said, to fulfill the writing, "I am thirsty."

There was a jar full of vinegar there; therefore they placed a sponge soaked in vinegar on top of a cane and placed it close to his mouth. And after receiving the vinegar, Jesus said: "Everything is done!". And, bowing his head, he emitted the spirit. "

Whenever I think of Your death, Lord, I am speechless. I feel the chills on me and I think that, despite everything, in those moments you thought of us, you stretched out your arms for me too. You have forgiven me, for all the times that I crucify you not knowing what I do; you promised me paradise, as to the good thief, if I will trust you; you have entrusted me to Your mother, so that at any moment she may be pampered by her; you taught me that You, as a man, also felt abandoned, so that I never feel alone in my human condition; you said you were thirsty, because I too thirst for you at all times; last of all you gave yourself completely to the Father, so that I too can abandon myself to him, without reservations. Thank you, Lord Jesus, because you have shown me that only by dying can you live forever.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Life, my All.

XIII station: Jesus is deposed from the cross

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to Mark (Mk 15,43: 46-XNUMX)

"Joseph of Arimathea, an authoritative member of the Sanhedrin, who was also waiting for the kingdom of God, bravely went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus. Pilate marveled that he was already dead and, called the centurion, questioned him if he had been dead for some time . Informed by the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph. He then bought a sheet, lowered it down from the cross and wrapped it in the sheet and placed it in a sepulcher dug in the rock. "

Your death, O Lord, has brought disastrous events: the earth has trembled, the stones have split, the sepulchers open, the veil of the temple torn. In the moments when I do not hear Your voice, in the moments when I think I am left alone, take me back, Master, to that Good Friday, when everything seemed lost, when the centurion recognized your belonging to the Father late. In those moments may my heart not close to love and hope and my mind to remember that every Good Friday has its Resurrection Easter.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Hope in despair.

Station XIV: Jesus is placed in the sepulcher

We adore you Christ and bless you ...

From the Gospel according to John (Jn 19,41-42)

“In the place where he had been crucified, there was a garden and in the garden a new sepulcher, in which no one had yet been laid. So they laid Jesus there. "

How much peace and serenity has always inspired me the sepulcher in which Your body has been laid! I was never afraid of that place, because I knew it was only temporary ... like all places on earth, where we are only passing through. Despite the many difficulties, the thousand fears, the uncertainties, every day I am amazed at how good it is to live. And if this earthly life already makes me happy, how great happiness will be in the Kingdom of Heaven! Lord, may my work be all in Your glory, awaiting eternity.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my Consolation for eternal life.
