Giorgio recounts the miracle received by Santa Rita of Cascia

Santa Rita da Cascia is one of the most loved and revered saints in the world, everyone's friend, the hope of desperate people. Today we will tell you the touching story of Giorgio and of the miracle granted to him by the Saint of impossible causes.

George's miraculous recovery

In 1944, when the Second World War was in full swing, little Giorgio was only 9 months old and fell ill with enteritis. At that time it was difficult if not impossible to find medicines to cure this disease. In fact, many children suffering from the same disease died and Giorgio was on the same path, since he hadn't fed himself for a week now.

The mother in desperation thought of relying on Santa Rita, starting to recite the Ninth and promising him that in case of recovery he would take him to Cascia for the First Communion.

Al third day of prayer she dreamed that her son was drowning and that she was left motionless thinking that if she jumped and drowned, the other 2 daughters would be left alone. Suddenly she saw a doggie who grabbed Giorgio by the neck and carried him to the shore where Santa Rita, dressed in white, was waiting for him.

The woman woke up with a start and ran towards her son's bed, who was resting peacefully. From that night Giorgio's conditions began to improve, until healed completely.

Giorgio's mother kept her promise to the Saint and on the day of communion she took her son to Cascia. Giorgio was very happy and from that day he always carried Saint Rita in his heart.
