June, devotion to the Sacred Heart: today's meditation June 6

June 6 - THE AGONY OF THE HEART JESUS
- Jesus also weeps! Do you remember the vegetable garden? There the Heart of Jesus was exposed to pain, fear, sadness. Here Jesus renews you that sad scene. He asks worshipers, he is thirsting for souls, and he is alone, abandoned, forgotten. Only in the night. Only on long days. Always alone. Will someone come to find him?

Patience to be forgotten, but not betrayed, it's too much! He sees the unbelievers, the wicked, the blasphemers. He sees irreverences, scandals, sacrileges, sacred hosts stolen, desecrated. Is it ever possible? Love man until he dies for him and then receive Judas' kiss, having to descend into his sacrilegious heart!

- How can you not be sad? It is the sadness of the Heart of Jesus. Living in the Tabernacle for man and being abandoned by him. Wanting to be his food and to be rejected. To suffer for man and to be slapped by him. Shed blood for him and shed it unnecessarily.

In vain did the Lord call worshipers to his altar. In vain he called souls to Holy Communion. He manifested his desires, established his law, made his promises and threats, yet many men persist in staying away from him until death.

Whoever saves a soul, saves his own. He is sad! And look for a friend. Do you want to be the friend of Jesus? So come cry, pray with Him. He looks for you and calls you. Can't you always come to church? Even from afar, in your home, during your work, you can send your heart to church, at the foot of the Tabernacle, to keep company with Jesus, to pray to him, to repair him.
