Is it right to leave Mass after receiving Holy Communion?

There are those who leave Mass after taking Communion. But is it right that it happens?

In reality, as reported on Catholicsay.com, we should stay until the end and not be carried away by haste. There is nothing more beautiful than being enveloped in the atmosphere of reflective gratitude that occurs during the celebration. The moment of quiet, after the reception of Holy Communion, is to be understood as a moment of thanksgiving.

First Communion

As children, then, there were those who were encouraged to recite a prayer, called anima christi (the Soul of Christ), after receiving Holy Communion. Here she is:

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.

Body of Christ, save me.

Blood of Christ, inebriate me.

Water from the side of Christ, wash me.

Passion of Christ, strengthen me.

Within Your wounds hide me.

Allow me not to be separated from You.

From the evil enemy defend me.

In the hour of my death call me and tell me to come to You, so that I can praise You with Your saints forever and ever.

Amen.

“If prayers like this were available at the stalls - reads CatholicSay - perhaps there would be fewer departures before the final blessing! As good faithful Catholics, we should do our best to follow the Holy Mass closely ”.
