The foods that best feed your Chakras

When you are thinking about your chakra system, you are probably not considering the types of foods you consume. Since our chakras are energetic eddies and invisible to most of us, one could well imagine that the chakras would thrive on energy, prayer or other spiritual things… you know, those things we cannot see with the human eye. However, the chakras cannot support our human body without our help. It is important to feed and nourish meat to help support and fuel our energy body. Whenever one or more of your chakras are misaligned, you may do well to review your dietary choices to see if you are not eating or perhaps eating too much of the foods that feed that particular chakra.

Take a look at the foods under each of the seven primary chakras in this step-by-step tutorial to help you determine how your current diet might be deficient or too forgiving. We can do our part to help bring balance to our chakras by following a balanced diet.


Feed your root chakra

Support grounding / anchoring

Root vegetables: carrots, potatoes, parsnips, radishes, beets, onions, garlic, etc.

Protein-rich foods: eggs, meat, beans, tofu, soy products, peanut butter

Spices: horseradish, spicy paprika, chives, cayenne pepper, pepper


Feed your sacral chakra

Support the Sexual / Creative Center

Sweet fruits: melons, mangoes, strawberries, passion fruit, oranges, coconut, etc.

Honey and walnuts: almonds, walnuts, etc.

Spices: cinnamon, vanilla, carob, sweet paprika, sesame seeds, cumin seeds


Feed your solar plexus

Increase self-esteem and encourage self-love

Muesli and cereals: pasta, bread, cereals, rice, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.

Dairy products: milk, cheese, yogurt.
