LOOK AT THE STAR, CALL ON MARY

Whoever you are,
that in the flow of this time you notice that,
more than walking on earth,
you're like swaying in storms and storms,
do not take your eyes off the splendor of this star,

if you don't want to be overwhelmed by the storm!
If you are shaken by the waves of pride,

of ambition, of slander, of jealousy,
look at the star, call upon Mary.
If anger or greed, or the enticements of the flesh

they shook the spacecraft of your soul, look at Maria.
If troubled by the enormity of sins,
if confused by the unworthiness of conscience,
you begin to be swallowed up by the abyss of sadness

and from the abyss of despair, think of Mary.
Don't go away from your mouth and your heart,
and to get the help of his prayer,
don't forget the example of your life.
Following her you can't get lost,
by praying to her you cannot despair.
If she supports you, you don't fall,
if she protects you don't give in to fear,
if she is propitious to you, reach the goal.

(Saint Bernard of Clairvaux)
