Material goods are nothing: to be happy, seek the kingdom of God and his justice (Rosetta's story)

Today, through a story, we want to explain to you what man should do in life to do the will of God. Instead of getting lost in material possessions, one should develop a personal relationship with God through prayer and meditation, seeking to understand his teachings through the sacred scriptures.

It should too practice love, humility and compassion towards others, to live according to His principles. Furthermore, man should seek ways to serve others and do good, contributing to building a better world. Seeking God's will requires humility and perseverance.

Rosetta's story

In a poor town, there lived an old lady who was well known to her fellow citizens. The Lady Susetta she had dedicated herself to serving others throughout her youth, helping anyone in need. She was a strong and determined woman, but also kind and sweet. About her Thanks to her great faith and the strength he had in God, he always managed to achieve his goals.

As the years passed, his strength decreased and the brave and famous woman was forgotten. The old lady spent her days at home, dedicating herself to prayer. One day, yes their savings ran out accumulated during her working life and the food she had left would only be enough for that day.

So, she knelt down and prayed to God out loud, asking if He could help her get some food. Coincidentally, two young people who were passing by heard her and decided to joke with her. Taking a basket, they filled it with foods and they let him into the house through a window.

When the woman saw that God had answered her prayers, she thanked him aloud and sat down to breakfast. Shortly after, the young men knocked on the door and revealed the trick. The old lady looked at them smiling and told them that she didn't know that funny side of God, that she had answered her prayer by sending him 2 angels.

This story should make us think. Mrs. Susetta had helped everyone throughout her life, but when she no longer had anything to offer she was abandoned to her own fate. One should understand that material goods count for nothing and that true wealth lies in her heart. Only in this way will this world be transformed into a better place.
