Ratisbonne was a young Jewish convert to Catholicism, who had lost his faith following the death of his brother. During a trip to Rome, the boy went to a church where he saw the image of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

Suddenly, Our Lady opened her eyes and told him to convert. Ratisbonne was immediately converted and began to spread the devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Later, he founded theOrder of Our Lady of Zion, a religious order dedicated to spreading the faith throughout the world.

Another miracle happened in 2009-2010 when a woman lost two babies due to 2 miscarriages. In 2011 she becomes pregnant again and decides to go on a pilgrimage to Madjugorje on the day of Our Lady of Grace. Once on the spot, she takes the miraculous medal, puts it around her neck and begins to pray to Our Lady that the pregnancy will be successful.
