PREFACE

Maria Santissima is honored by the faithful, not only with the practice of the first five Saturdays of the month, but also with the fifteen consecutive Saturdays. How many graces the Queen of Heaven gives to those who honor her on the 15 Saturdays!

As can be seen, in this devotion there has been an increasing crescendo.

One might ask: Why not also honor the Sacred Heart with the practice of fifteen consecutive Fridays? Maybe Jesus does not deserve a treat similar to that of the Mother, his Most Holy? Is the devotion of the Fifteen Fridays less fruitful to souls? Far from it!… Jesus deserves as much as Our Lady and even more. He is the source of all treasure, the source from which the Queen of Heaven draws.

It will be said: Are the Nine first Fridays of the month not enough? Why add more?

In the good there is no limit. The First Friday reparation Communion consoles the Heart of Jesus so much; and since in these times the offenses of God multiply beyond all belief, it is convenient to multiply the reparatory Communions.

Having to proceed to the 13th edition of the manual, I feel the duty to thank the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the rapid spread of pious practice.

From reports sent to me, it is clear to me that priests and faithful have taken the devotion of the Fifteen Fridays with enthusiasm. The number of those who begin the communion shift is now large and many graces are obtained.

I learned of many special favors granted by the Sacred Heart: healings, job placements, success in competitions, return of peace in the family, conversions of sinners, etc.

This devotion, which quickly crossed the borders of Italy, is already spreading all over the world. The manual is translated into other languages: French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Flemish, German and Indian.

Every day in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass I pray for those who are interested in promoting this practice. The author

TO THE PRIESTS

I speak to my brothers in the priesthood.

We are, o brothers, the Ministers of the Supreme God on earth. The souls that are entrusted to us by Providence, direct them to the Sacred Heart and push them to reparation.

Ordinarily the faithful follow us in the holy initiatives. Therefore, everything is zealous in the exercise of our sacred ministry.

This booklet can serve as a guide in the practice of Fifteen Fridays. It would be to drink reading, among Missan, the instruction of every single Friday, so that the faithful are moved to repair and also to the renewal of customs.

How many graces will the good Jesus bestow on those Priests, who will become promoters of so much good!

TO PIE SOULS

Jesus said to Saint Margaret Alacoque: "The name of those who will spread my devotion will be written in my Heart and will never be erased!"

Do you, o pious souls, desire that your name be written in the Divine Heart? Spread the devotion of the Fifteen Fridays! Talk about it with your family, among acquaintances! Propagate leaflets and report cards that instruct you on how to sanctify these Fridays.

The apostolate of this devotion will make you dear to Jesus and the divine tenderness will pour out on your heart.

PURPOSE

The main purpose of the Fifteen Fridays is to honor and repair the Heart of Jesus.

Furthermore, one of the most effective means of impetrating divine favors is to promise to begin the fifteen consecutive Fridays with faith and love. All graces can be asked with the reparatory Communions, both spiritual and temporal.

Regarding what is asked of God, note the following:

If the favor that is asked for conforms to the will of God, and therefore useful to the soul, grace will come; if he delays to come, repeat another series of Fifteen Fridays, in accordance with what Jesus said: "Beat and it will be opened to you; ask and it will be given to you. "

If the desired grace is not for the moment useful to the soul, in this case God will give another grace, which perhaps will be greater than expected.

Whoever begins the practice of Fridays, try to live in God's grace and if by chance he falls into serious sin, get up immediately, because if the soul is not in the friendship of God, he cannot claim to receive divine favors.

This devotion is now exposed in a practical way.

PRACTICAL RULES

The first round of the Fifteen Fridays begins in the middle of March, to end on the last Friday of June.

The second round begins in mid-September and ends on the last Friday of the year.

The two shifts take place solemnly in the parishes, in the rectories and in religious institutes.

Each one, privately, can complete the Fifteen Friday series at any time of the year; however, when you expect important graces, it is advisable that several people carry out pious practice together, using the appropriate manual.

In very urgent cases fifteen Communions can be held in a row, that is, the practice is completed in two weeks.

Those who, due to impediment or forgetfulness, could not communicate on any Friday, could make up for any day, before the other Friday arrives.

When a Friday coincides with the first Friday of the month, the Communion satisfies both practices.

Every Friday, for fifteen weeks, Holy Communion is received, in reparation for the offenses that are done to God.

It is not necessary to confess each time that we communicate; it is necessary to be in the grace of God.

It is recommended to do the Holy Confession well, that is:

1) Do not hide some serious sin out of shame.

2) Hate all mortal sins.

3) Promise to flee the next occasions of grave sin.

If the confession lacks any of these three conditions, it would become sacrilegious, just as Holy Communion would be sacrilegious.

A weekly foil is suggested every Friday; practice faithfully.

Generous souls, when they receive some grace, do not forget to be grateful to the Heart of Jesus; a great thank you could be to do the Fifteen on Friday.

WHAT THANKS TO ASK

Everyone's needs are manifold. With the Fifteen Fridays you can ask for any grace; however the most important, and perhaps the least requested, graces are the spiritual ones.

It is recommended to ask the Holy Heart especially for the graces listed here:

1) Knowing how to choose the state of life, in accordance with the will of God.

2) Have the strength to escape some occasion of grave sin.

3) Being able to die with the Holy Sacraments, in great serenity of spirit.

4) Get peace in the family.

5) Find a good companion or a good companion in life, that is, being able to make a moral and religious engagement. Anyone who asks for this very important grace promises Jesus that he will pass the betrothal period.

6) Give suffrage to the dead. It is an excellent means of refrigerating one's own dead, since Jesus, consoled with many reparatory Communions, in exchange will console the souls of Purgatory.

7) Obtaining the necessary providence in the family, by finding some job.

8) To succeed in some important tests, especially in competitions.

9) Impetrating peace of heart and serenity in spiritual life.

10) Convert sinful souls. The conversion of some person is the most important and most difficult grace; it is better to repeat the shifts of the Fifteen on Friday. Thus decreases the strength of Satan and increases the grace of God until complete triumph.

FIRST FRIDAY TO REPAIR THE EUCHARISTIC SACRILEGES

HECTURE

The Heart of Jesus is a source of love. He showed his immense affection to the world with the mystery of the Incarnation and with his death on the cross. The excess of this love has perpetuated it with remaining alive and true on earth, in the Eucharistic form.

At the moment of the Consecration, during the Mass, the Priest pronounces on the bread and wine the words that Jesus spoke at the last supper and then the Lord descends on the holy altar, to give himself food to the souls.

Communion! What a mystery! The Creator becomes nourishment of the creature!

Jesus said: “I am the bread that came down from Heaven. Whoever eats my Body and drinks my Blood will have eternal life and I will raise him up on the last day ”.

Jesus enters our hearts to rest, to console himself, to fortify us and enrich us with his gifts.

In the act of communion Jesus enjoys more than the soul who receives him, as the father enjoys more in embracing the son, rather than the son himself.

But does everyone communicate holy? Unfortunately there are those who approach the Eucharistic Banquet with grave sin in the soul. St. Paul says: "Whoever unworthily eats the Body of the Lord and unworthily drinks his Blood, eats and drinks his sentence."

Since the first condition for communicating well is to have a soul without grave guilt and since Confession is the remedy for erasing sins, all those who go to receive Jesus in mortal sin commit the Eucharistic sacrilege, or because they have not confessed, or because they voluntarily confessed badly.

And who could enumerate the Eucharistic sacrileges that can be carried out in the time of the Easter precept and on certain religious solemnities of the year? How Jesus must suffer to enter a heart where the devil reigns! ... God and Satan must live together, life and death.

Jesus himself manifested the great pain of these sacrileges to an extraordinary victim soul, Josefa Menendez, saying: “I want to make known the sadness that flooded my Heart in the last supper, when he instituted the Eucharistic Sacrament!… Ah, how I saw in that moment the sacrileges, the outrages, the horrible abominations that would have been committed against me! ... In how many hearts stained with sin I would have had to enter ... and my profaned Flesh and Blood would have served only to condemn many souls! ... "

The other Eucharistic profanations are also sacrilegious. The Sacramented Jesus is carried in procession and many are ashamed to kneel or discover the head. At other times, ungodly men allow themselves, for the thirst for money, to break up the Tabernacle and to steal the sacred vessels, where the Consecrated Hosts are kept. And how many times, after the thefts done in the church, were the holy Hosts scattered on the floor trampled, or thrown along the way or in indecent places!

We have a duty to repair all these sacrileges. May this first Friday therefore be dedicated to consoling the Heart of Jesus of all the offenses it receives in the Blessed Sacrament. To this end, offer Holy Communion and Mass, the prayers and the good works of the day.

FOIL. During the week, often say, possibly at the sound of the hours: May the Most Holy and Divine Sacrament be praised and thanked every moment!

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, in reparation for the Eucharistic sacrileges.

SECOND FRIDAY

REPAIR THE ABUSE OF THE CONFESSION

READING

The Heart of Jesus instituted the sacraments to communicate his grace to souls. The Sacrament of Confession is one of the greatest channels of grace; it is rightly called the Sacrament of mercy.

Jesus said to the Apostles and their successors: “All power has been given to me in heaven and on earth. As the Father sent me, so I world you ... Receive the Holy Spirit. To those to whom you have forgiven sins, they will be forgiven; and to those to whom you have retained them, they will be retained. "

Indeed, by this divine power, God's ministers forgive sins of repentant souls. All guilt is canceled by sacramental absolution, because the Blood of Jesus comes down to purify the heart stained by sin.

How much joy Jesus feels when a sinful soul mourns his miseries and receives absolution! The joy felt by the father of the prodigal son in embracing the one he loved and believed to be dead is a pale image of the feast that Jesus makes in giving absolution to the sinner.

Those who confess well, usually feel deep joy and peace in their hearts. Blessed are those who know how to use Confession as a strong medicine to save themselves!

But do all those who go to confession receive forgiveness of sins? Do they all provide Jesus with the joy that He promises himself from a well-made confession?

As there are the sacrileges of the Eucharist, so are there the ones of Confession. How much the Heart of Jesus has to suffer to see the Sacrament of his mercy profaned!

Who hides some serious guilt from the Priest ...; who has the will to return to some mortal sin ...; those who confess without a resolution to flee serious occasions of sin ...; those who sin and ripecca, saying: "So much later I will confess" ...; those who approach Confession for purely human purposes or to please someone or for social convenience ...; all of them perform the sacrilege of Confession. For each of them the Heart of Jesus bleeds. Jesus would like his blood to always go down to purify; and instead on certain souls he must go down to curse.

This second Friday has the intention of repairing the Sacred Heart of the sacraments of the Confession.

First of all, let us always approach this sacrament with the due dispositions, that is: examining the conscience, conceiving a real pain of sins, manifesting our sins with humility and sincerity and doing well the penance that the Priest imposes on us.

If sometimes we had confessed badly, we try to make up for it with a special Confession, which leaves serenity in the soul. Accounts with God can be settled at any time; a little good will is enough.

Never postpone the arrangement of conscience overnight, or from month to month; who has time, do not wait for time. Death could catch us at any moment and woe to have a conscience in a bad state!

The Heart of Jesus looks forward to sinful souls in the tribunal of penance; he is ready to forgive and forget the greatest iniquities; his mercy is infinitely greater than human miseries. It is the devil who holds back souls, so as not to make them embrace them by Jesus. Let us therefore overcome the infernal pitfalls!

FOIL. Examine the conscience, to see how the Confessions were made. If necessary, make a more accurate confession than usual, as if it were the last of life, as if you were on a deathbed.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, in reparation for the sacrifices of the Confession.

CROWN TO BE RECITED BEFORE COMMUNION

D.) O God, come and save me!

R.) Lord, come quickly to my aid! Gloria Patri etc.

1. My most loving Jesus, reflecting on your Divine Heart and seeing it all full of sweetness for sinners, I feel my heart rejoice and be confident that I am well received by you. Alas, how many sins I have committed! But now, as Peter and as sorrowful Magdalene, I weep and detest them, because I am offended by you, or my greatest good. Yes, o Jesus! Give me general forgiveness and let me die before offending you again.

One Pater Noster and five Gloria Patri.

Sweet Heart of my Jesus,

Make me love you more and more!

2. I bless, my Jesus, your most gentle Heart and I am horrified at mine, so different from yours. Unfortunately I, at a word, at a contrary gesture, I get worried and I complain. Well forgive me for impatience and give me the grace to imitate your unalterable patience in the future, in any opposition, and thus enjoy continuous and holy peace.

One Pater Noster and five Gloria Patri.

Sweet Heart of my Jesus,

Make me love you more and more!

3. I admire, O my Jesus, the suffering your Heart and I thank you for the many wonderful examples of unjust suffering left to us. I am sorry for my strange delicacy, intolerant of every little pain. Ah, dear Jesus, instill in my heart a constant and fervent love for tribulations, crosses, mortifications and penance, so that by following you on Calvary. come with you to the eternal glory of Heaven.

One Pater Noster and five Gloria Patri.

Sweet Heart of! my Jesus,

Make me love you more and more!

V) O Heart of Jesus, inflamed with love for us.

R) inflame our hearts of love for you!

LET'S PRAY

Lord, let the Holy Spirit inflame us with that love that Our Lord Jesus Christ poured out on the earth from the bottom of his Heart, longing for it to burn more and more. Amen

THIRD FRIDAY REPAIR THE BLEMASMS

READING

God has given us the language to serve us well and especially to praise him, our Creator and Redeemer.

Many, men and women, use the tongue to blaspheme and throw up insults against the Divine Majesty.

The Lord is jealous of his holy name and gave a command, which he placed at the basis of the Decalogue: "Do not name the name of God unnecessarily".

Jesus taught the Pater Noster, a short prayer with which the most necessary things are asked of God. But first of all he taught to ask the Father for the sanctification of his name: "Our Father, who is in Heaven, sanctify your name! ...».

Yet there is no name on earth as insulted as the name of God!

How many blasphemies against Jesus Christ! In workshops, barracks, shops, families, along the streets, how many insults are heard against the Son of God!

Each blasphemy is like a slap that the son gives to his father. Blaspheme Jesus, the Redeemer of mankind, the one who shed all his Blood for us! What a monstrous ingratitude!

In one day, who knows how many thousands and tens of thousands of blasphemies are pronounced! it is the duty of the good to repair the Heart of Jesus. This third Friday will serve as a comfort to Jesus for the insults he receives. May all the works of the day and week be offered to him in repair of the blasphemies. Each act of reparation is like a drop of balm on the outraged Divine Heart.

We try to always respect the name of God and not to name it without a just reason. We never give occasion to anyone to blaspheme, using charity and patience with family members. Hearing some blasphemy, we immediately make an act of reparation, saying: "God be blessed! ", Or:" Praised be Jesus Christ! ".

When we recognize that correcting the blasphemer can be useful, let's do it freely, without human respect; if we foresee that the correction at the moment may be harmful, because the blasphemer could be more angry, it is prudent to say the good word when he is calmer.

It is also useful to remember the episode that took place in Fatima before the Madonna appeared.

A majestic angel introduced himself to the three children. He held a large chalice in his hands, surmounted by a Host. He said to the visionaries: "Kneel down, kiss the earth and say with me:" Lord; I bless you for those who curse you. ».

Since the Angel urged the three children to recite this short prayer, it is a sign that it pleases God and repairs blasphemies. It is therefore advisable to recite it often throughout the day and with devotion.

FOIL. Hearing some blasphemy, say: "God be blessed! »Or:« Lord, I bless you for those who curse you! ».

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria in honor of the five Wounds, in repair of the blasphemies.

REPAIRING PRAYER TO BE MADE BEFORE COMMUNION

Eternal Father, who for love of men gave your Unigénito Son to death, for his Blood, for his merits, for his Divine Heart, have mercy on the whole world and forgive all the sins that are committed, especially blasphemies . Gloria Patri.

Eternal Father, I offer you the praises of Mary Most Holy, the Angels, the Saints and good souls, to repair the blasphemies and insults of the bad ones. Gloria Patri.

Eternal Father, I offer you the humiliation of the slaps that Jesus had in the Passion, in reparation for the blasphemies. Gloria Patri.

Eternal Father, I offer you the humiliation that Jesus had in the Passion in being spit and mocked, in reparation for blasphemies. Gloria Patri.

Eternal Father, I offer you the burning that Jesus had on the cross, in reparation for blasphemies. Gloria Patri.

Eternal Father, I offer you the wounds of Jesus in reparation for blasphemies. Gloria Patri.

Eternal Father, I offer you the spasms of Our Lady under the cross, in reparation for blasphemies. Gloria Patri.

Eternal Father, I offer you the holy Masses which are celebrated today in the world, in reparation for blasphemies. Gloria Patri.

How many, my sweet Jesus, will be the blasphemies and insults of any kind, which will be thrown against you or against Mary Most Holy during this day, as many and more, I intend to offer you blessings and praises. Amen!

REPAIR AGAINST BLASTE

(in the form of a Rosary, in five posts)

Coarse grains:

We give glory, homage, honor, to Jesus, the Redeemer!

To the Virgin Mary

And praise the Saints! Pater Noster.

Small grains:

V) Lord, I bless you for those who curse you!

R) O Immaculate Virgin, always be blessed!

(Every 10 invocations: 1 Gloria Patri).

Finally:

God be blessed! ... etc.

This reparation against blasphemies is often done publicly in church and in families where there is some blasphemer.

FOURTH FRIDAY TO CONVERT SINERS

READING

Everyone in the world sin, some more and some less. However, there are those who commit only small faults and there are those who fall into serious sins. Some souls, as soon as they fall into mortal guilt, immediately get up and detest the wrong done. Other souls .. instead live in mortal sin and do not give thought to return to God's grace: they sin and repeat with great lightness, without worrying about the judgments of God and the other life that awaits us. These are precisely the souls, for whom we must pray and repair.

Converting a sinner, as St Augustine teaches, is a greater miracle than raising a dead man. And yet, the Sacred Heart of Jesus yearns for sinners to convert and says: "I have come to earth for sinners ... The sick need the doctor more, rather than the healthy ... I have come to look for the lost sheep ... There is more celebration in heaven for a sinner who is converted, than for ninety-nine righteous, who do not need penance. "

It is right to please Jesus! He has a burning thirst for sinful souls.

If we are in a state of sin, we must not be afraid to draw near to the Lord; his loving Heart forgives and forgets everything. We promise to recover as soon as possible in his grace. Jesus can make a holy soul out of a sinful soul; so he did with the Samaritan woman, with Mary Magdalene, with Pelagia, with Margherita da Cortona and with a thousand others.

If we are in God's grace, we must work to convert the traviati. The first means of converting sinners is prayer. The five Pater, Ave and Gloria alle cinque Piaghe, very effective prayer breasts.

One day Jesus said to a soul, an extraordinary victim: “Pray, pray a lot for sinners! When a soul prays for a sinner with the ardent desire to be converted, most often his repentance is obtained, if only at the end of life, and the offense received by my Heart is repaired. If the sinner for whom we pray is not converted, the prayer is never lost, because on the one hand it consoles the pain that causes me to sin and, on the other, its effectiveness and power are useful, if not to that particular pleasant sinner to other souls better prepared to welcome the fruits. "

Therefore, let us not lose courage if, praying for a sinful soul, we do not immediately see his conversion.

In addition to prayer, the offering of sacrifices for the benefit of sinners is very helpful. Every sacrifice, however small, combined with the merits of Jesus Christ, acquires great value and obtains an increase in grace for the sinner. Sometimes a sacrifice can save a soul, as can be seen from what Our Lady said to Josefa Menendez: “You, my daughter, did a little good work this morning before the Mass, with sacrifice and with love. At that moment there was a soul about to fall into hell; my Son Jesus used your little sacrifice and it was saved. See, my daughter, how many souls can be saved with small acts! "

When we have a suffering, a cross, an illness, a momentary malaise ... let's not lose the fruit with impatience, but let's say immediately: I offer you, O Lord, this cross to convert some sinner! The souls that we will have saved, we will know them when we are in the other life; they will form our most beautiful crown for all eternity.

FOIL. In every contrariety and suffering, say: Lord, your will be done! I accept this cross for the sake of sinners!

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Glory in honor of the five Wounds for the conversion of the most obstinate sinners.

PRAYER TO THE FIVE PLAGNS

(The recitation is highly recommended!)

Penetrated with love and gratitude, with a pained and compassionate heart, we adore and kiss your sacred wounds humbly and respectfully, invoking you, O Jesus, with great confidence.

O Divine Savior, we implore you through these adorable wounds, so cruelly impressed on your most holy Body to convert sinners and heal us from all the wounds that sin did to our souls. Carve, Lord, yes, deeply carve these divine wounds in our hearts and the memory of your very bloody Passion.

Lord, have mercy on us!

1. We beg you for the plague of your right hand. Pater Noster.

We adore the Plague of your right hand, wishing and asking that it bless all sinners and also bless our intentions, words, deeds and help us do good and avoid evil.

I place, O my God, in your hands, with confidence, my body and my soul, life, death, my temporal and eternal fate, my designs and undertakings.

I place all sinners in my right hand, my relatives, friends, benefactors, consecrated souls, men and women religious, missionaries, so that neither the devil, nor the world, nor the flesh can kidnap them. Lord, have mercy on us!

2 We beg you, O Jesus, for the plague of your left hand. Pater Noster. We adore the plague of your left hand and beg you to support us. We recommend sinners, our enemies, whom we love wholeheartedly, as you loved, or Jesus, those who crucified you.

I still recommend all the wicked, the libertines, asking you not to stretch your omnipotent and merciful hand against all the enemies of the Church, to repress their unrest and bad designs and, with your triumphant wisdom and grace, change their hatred into a ardent charity and their malice in goodness, their curses in as many blessings, their war in perfect peace. Remove all these sinners from the hands of the infernal nemito and make them return to you by means of a sincere conversion.

Lord, have mercy on us!

3. We beg you for the plague of your right foot. Pater Noster.

We adore the Plague of your right foot and we implore you, by virtue of this most sacred Plague, to direct our steps and trends in the path of salvation.

And we beg you for the pains suffered by you in this most painful plague, to convert sinners, to lift the painful souls of the sick and agonizing poor, slaves, prisoners, drug addicts, and above all of the misguided priests, desperate sinners and most abandoned souls of Purgatory.

Lord, have mercy on us!

4. We beg you for the plague of your left foot. Pater Noster.

We adore the Plague of your left foot and beg you through this Plague, to rectify the hearts of sinners, to repair our unrest, to correct our defects, to call us back from our misleading.

We beg you for the sufferings suffered by you in this Plague of your left foot, for having compassion on the heretics, the schismatics, the Jews and the infidels.

Lord, have mercy on us!

5. We beg you for the plague of your sacred side. Pater Noster.

We adore the Plague of the sacred side and we ask you to deign to us through the opening of this adorable Plague, to spread the bowels of your infinite Mercy over us and to us and to heal our hearts with the most holy Plague of your Sacred Heart, to wash the stains and sordidness of our souls, with the Blood and Water that sprang from the holy side. And since your Bride, the holy Church, was formed by virtue of this most holy and precious Blood and Water, like Eve from the coast of Adam, so we beg you for your pierced sacred side, to have mercy on your Church, who you bought yourselves with your precious Blood ... Purify it, sanctify it, govern it, keep it pure, holy and spotless, exalt it and make it triumph over all the enemies and errors that can attack it; make peace, union, charity, in short, all Christian virtues reign. Amen.

It is said six times: Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

FIFTH FRIDAY TO REPAIR SINS OF HATE

READING

After the love of God, the first commandment is to love one's neighbor. St. John teaches: Whoever says he loves God while hating his neighbor is a liar, deceives himself and his religiosity is useless.

Jesus Christ often inculcates, and with strong words, the duty to love our fellow man; it expressly commands that you also love those who harm us: Love your enemies, do good to those who harm you, pray for those who persecute you. Be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect, who shines his sun on the good and the bad and sends the rain on the righteous and the wicked ... if you do not forgive your brother wholeheartedly, not even your Father heavenly will forgive your sins ... be merciful and you will find mercy ... With to the extent with which you have measured to will be measured to you ... And if you are going to make an offer to God and remember that your brother something against you, leave the offering at the foot of the altar, go to be reconciled with your brother and then return to make the offer. Otherwise your gift will not be accepted ... And when you pray, say so: Our Father, ... we forgive our debtors. "

Jesus therefore teaches not only not to hate, but rather to love those who harm us. From the height of the cross he gave the brightest example of charity, praying for his crucifixors: "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing!"

Jesus commands forgiveness and love; and men instead hate each other. How many grudges, how many vendettas, how many struggles in society and families! The Heart of Jesus remains seriously offended by so many iniquities and it is necessary to repair it.

This fifth Friday has the task of repairing the hatreds and of obtaining the strength of souls to forgive the offenses received.

But before repairing for others, it is fitting that we ourselves are at peace with everyone. Given human weakness, it is so easy to harbor grudge and aversion. Opportunities are not lacking, neither in the family nor outside.

A proverb says: Brothers, knives. Friends, enemies. Relatives, snakes. Neighbors, murderers. It is these categories of people who usually give reason for hatred. In the meantime we must forgive; offenses must be forgotten; it is a duty to correspond to the greeting; do not waste time making some peace visits.

How Jesus enjoys seeing a generous soul, who forgives any offense!

So let's give Jesus proof of love. He will reciprocate with the abundance of his peace. Rancor brings disturbance and bitterness to the soul, while forgiveness brings calm and pure joy.

A generous forgiveness is followed by an increase in grace. After Giovanni Gualberto forgave his brother's killer, he obtained the grace to become a saint.

Those who wait thanks from the Sacred Heart, forgive immediately and repair the past.

FOIL. Forgive offenses for the love of Jesus and make peace with those to whom we have harbored a grudge.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria in honor of the five Wounds, for those who have offended us during our lives.

PRAYER TO BE RECITED BEFORE COMMUNION

O infinitely holy and merciful God, I love you and adore you. I humbly bow down to your presence and offer you all the acts of adoration, reparation and thanksgiving of the souls who love you.

I offer you especially the Holy Communion I am about to receive and the perfect holocaust of your Divine Son, who immolates himself on the altars in all corners of the earth, at all times of this day. Receive, Divine Father, that pure Blood in reparation for the outrages of those who harbor hatred and resentment towards others; erase their sins and do them, mercy.

Father, infinitely good, I unite to this holy Sacrifice all that I do good and I intend to repair the sins of hatred of your creatures.

My father, receive my desire to console you; and since I too am miserable, I offer you the merits of Jesus, Redeemer of mankind, to satisfy your divine justice so offended by the hatred that reigns in the world. Pater Noster..

Eternal Father, forgive my sins as I forgive those who have offended me. Gloria Patria ..

Eternal Father, I offer you the immense charity of Jesus Christ, in reparation for the shortcomings of charity. Gloria Patri ..

Eternal Father, for the forgiveness that Jesus gave to the crucifixors, destroy the hatred in the hearts of your children. Gloria Patri ...

Eternal Father, I offer you the wounds of Jesus Christ to heal the wounds of hearts victims of hatred. Gloria Patri ...

Sacred Heart of Jesus, bless those who have hurt me. Gloria Patri ..,

Sacred Heart of Jesus, bless those who spoke badly of me. Gloria Patri ..

Sacred Heart of Jesus, bless those who thought badly of me. Gloria Patri ..

Sacred Heart of Jesus, be merciful to my neighbor, as you are merciful to me. Gloria Patri ...

SIXTH FRIDAY

REPAIRING SIN AGAINST PURITY

READING

God the Creator formed us of soul and body. The soul is the most noble part of us and we must save it at all costs. The body, although inferior to the soul, deserves the utmost respect; because it is sacred. If the Chalice of the Mass is sacred, because it holds the precious Blood of Jesus Christ for a few minutes, the more the human body is, because it feeds on the Body and Blood of Jesus with Communion; moreover because it was sanctified by the baptismal waters and by the sacred Chrism and because temple of the Holy Spirit. And as a person who desecrates a sacred vessel sins, so does a person who profanes his own body or that of others seriously.

God, in order to have his body preserved with dignity to his creatures, gave two commandments: Sixth: do not fornicate Ninth: Do not desire the person of others.

The Sacred Heart loves purity very much, because it is the Lamb that grazes among the lilies. He said: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God!

The purity that the Lord demands is different, that is, according to one's state. There is the virginal purity that must be observed by those who are not bound by marriage, and there is the matrimonial purity, prescribed to the married.

But what cure is there in the world of such a noble virtue? It seems that everything conspires against it; everyone wants to enjoy, trampling on the divine commandments and forgetting the terrible judgments of God.

How many offenses the Heart of Jesus receives because of dishonesty! He controls human thoughts and acts and also sees them in solitude and darkness.

If you could see all the heap of dishonesty, you would be amazed. Jesus is not insensitive to so many offenses and his Heart remains pierced. To more than one soul He has expressed his great condolence, saying: the world is running to perdition! ... There are too many sins of impurity! ... I am seeking reparation to hold my punishing arm.

Let's commit on this Friday to repair the Divine Heart of so many moral miseries. And first of all, let's examine whether the lily of purity in us is white. Those who live in marriage can sincerely say: I have a clear conscience ...?

Boyfriends can say: I don't feel any remorse for the time of my engagement ...? How do we keep our eyes? How do we keep our senses in check? Is our heart caught in some sinful affection?

If the conscience forgets us for some fault, before repairing the Heart of Jesus of the sins of others, let's repair it of our sins; we promise to live in maximum purity.

Jesus forgives. Jesus forgets. But he wants to see the goodwill to escape bad opportunities. Truncating some dangerous friendship ... keeping the passions in check ... could cost serious sacrifices. But Jesus requires this, as life has required of St. Maria Goretti, martyr of purity.

Do not expect to receive graces from the Sacred Heart if the soul is the victim of impure sin.

FOIL. Keep purity well: in actions, in looks and in thoughts.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, to repair the Heart of Jesus of the dishonesty that is committed in the world.

REPAIRING PRAYER TO BE MADE BEFORE COMMUNION

Eternal Father, I offer you the purity of the Virgin Mary, so that you may arouse many virgin souls in the world. Gloria Patri ...

Eternal Father, I offer you the Blood of the Immaculate Lamb in reparation for the sins I have committed. Gloria Patri ...

Say three times: Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in you!

SEVENTH FRIDAY TO REPAIR SINS OF SCANDAL

READING

One of the gravest sins is scandal, because through it evil multiplies in souls. Scandal is called the urge or the opportunity to make others sin.

This evil can be done by exciting someone to sin or by teaching them to commit it. Ordinarily the bad example of morality is called a scandal. The world is a mass of scandals and Jesus Christ has pronounced a terrible "trouble" against it: Woe to the world, for its scandals! It is impossible that the scandal does not happen; but woe to the man for whose fault the scandal will occur! And why does Jesus Christ prove so rigorous in this regard? Because the scandalous is a spiritual murderer. Jesus gave his Blood to save souls and the scandalous steals them from him, rendering the fruit of the Redemption useless to them.

The scandal given to the little ones is a major crime, so much so that Jesus exclaimed: “Woe to anyone who scandalizes one of these little ones, who believe in me! It would be better if he tied a millstone to the neck of the scandalous man and fell into the depths of the sea! "

Meanwhile, how many scandals happen daily. How many innocent souls immorality is taught! How many perfidious suggestions are also given to those who would like to stay on the right path!

Those who have been scandalized easily persevere in the offense of God and in turn will be scandalous to others, and these to others still.

The Heart of Jesus is wounded by men's offenses and especially by scandal. On this seventh Friday, reparations are to be made in this regard. We pray that the number of these unhappy people will be reduced and that those who have been victims of the scandal will convert.

Has it not happened to us, in childhood or youth, to have received the poison of the scandal? Let us pray for the unfortunate who have wounded our soul.

And may it not be that we too, in a moment of passion and moral blindness, have given scandal to some soul? What are we left to do? Cry the evil done with tears of blood and repair it properly.

Repair is a serious obligation. It is therefore advisable to implement all the means we are capable of.

Have you perhaps scandalized some person? Pray for it often. Call upon divine mercy above her and above you! Have your bad example and your bad talk ruined that soul? ... Think now to recall it to the good with your example and your advice.

Do not forget that the soul you have scandalized will easily have scandalized others. You must repair, save souls as much as you can, by carrying out a true apostolate in the world.

Whoever saved a soul predestined his for Paradise; and whoever has scandalized a soul, if he does not repair, must fear having destined his soul to hell.

FOIL. If any person or family is a cause of sin or scandal, for love of the Heart of Jesus, cut off any relationship with it.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, to repair the Sacred Heart of the scandals that the little ones receive.

EIGHTH FRIDAY REPAIR BAD SPEECH

READING

Before the tribunal of God it will be necessary to account for all that has been done during life. The Divine Judge will also ask for the words. In the Holy Gospel we read: "Of every idle word that men will have said, they will give me an account of it in the day of judgment."

How many words are said in the world! But is everything said fair and holy? And if Jesus judges idle words, that is, those that are said with indifference, how can he not judge immoral words and dishonest speeches?

Those conversations about delicate matters of purity, made to laugh and to joke, or to delight in what God forbids, are dishonest or immoral speeches. Those who are engulfed in impurity usually hold these speeches, because as Jesus says: "The mouth speaks of the abundance of the heart." When impurity reigns in a heart, even words, looks and jokes tend to hurt.

Bad speech is mostly a shame. It does not help to say: We are now grown up! ... Some things are already known! ... Those who listen know more than I do! ...

Unfortunately, dishonest talk is the scourge of society. In gatherings, in private conversations, in offices, on cars, in families ... everywhere this sin spreads.

The Heart of Jesus, lover and guardian of the purity of souls, remains offended by many faults. Any bad speech is like a sharp thorn that hurts its Heart.

Who should console him? His devotees. On this Friday, there is an intention to repair the Divine Heart of the offenses it receives from those who speak out loud.

May it not also happen to us, repairing souls, the misfortune of falling into this sin! The indecent word, the equivocal phrase, or immoral speech, should never come out of our mouth. If for the past we have sinned, it is no longer for the future. Let us remember that that language must be pure, which must make contact with the Blessed Sacrament. We never willingly listen to the bad talk that others dared to keep in our presence; listening to him with pleasure is already a fault. We have a duty to prevent, as far as possible and in appropriate ways, the immoral discourse, reproaching those who had the brazenness to do it in front of us.

The devil who pushes his servants to speak badly, instills fear and human respect in the good ones, so that they let them speak without interrupting. Therefore overcome the fear of others' criticism and call those who speak without restraint with energy.

It will be said: «I seem to disrespect giving a rebuke and I am afraid of losing my friendship! ». It is not so! Those who speak scandalously do not deserve respect, indeed deserve contempt, because they offend the dignity of the listener. Losing an immoral person's friendship is good, not bad already.

Those who are energetically recovered will hardly allow themselves to speak out of hand. If after a just reproach someone laughs behind us, giving us the "bigoted" or the "blow", it is better to remain happy, thinking: I have done my duty! I have given glory to God! I have prevented the work of Satan! I have earned a prize for Heaven!

FOIL. Flee the immoral conversation and reproach those who speak outrageously.

Pray. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, in reparation for the offenses that Jesus receives because of the scandalous speeches.

PRAYER TO BE RECITED BEFORE COMMUNION

O Jesus, God of infinite beauty, I present myself humbly to you, acknowledging my unworthiness. You want to come to my poor heart to rest. Too much, O Jesus, you are offended in the world and I want to make up for the bitterness caused by bad speeches.

I wish I could have the Heart of the Most Holy Virgin, to receive you worthily. But you who did not disdain the Bethlehem cave, come to my heart eager to console you.

How many souls, or Jesus, after having prepared the language at the Eucharistic Banquet to receive your Immaculate Meats, after some time they return to smear the same language with bad speech!

Forgive, O Lord; forgive these poor souls! And forgive my sins too, because I too have offended you in the past with these miseries! But I promise you, O Jesus, that from now on I want to keep my tongue and use it to praise you and make you love! Most pure Virgin, obtain with me this Holy Communion a great horror at bad speech! Make every hymn of my life melt from my heart a hymn of love for Jesus, center of hearts and pearl of love. Amen!

Say three times:

Forgive, O Lord, to your people! Don't take revenge on us forever!

Pater, Ave, Glory.

I love you so much, oh my Jesus,

that you are so worthy of being loved!

I would like to die for You, my dear God,

that you did not scorn me for dying!

Love has overcome you and love keeps you in the mood1 Ostia,

O great my Lord, and your Heart is so tender and so strong

what contempt for my love pain and death!

NINTH FRIDAY

REPAIR FOR BAD PRINTING

READING

As the body needs bread, so does the mind of education. If food is healthy, it is beneficial to health; if he is poisoned, he brings death. So for education. If the books you read are good, they bring light to the mind and comfort to the heart; if, on the other hand, they are bad, they spoil and deface customs.

How do you know if the press is good or bad? From the topics he deals with and the way he deals with them The book that speaks badly of holy religion, the Pope, the priests and what Jesus taught is bad. The book that deals with indecent or prone to dishonesty is also bad.

There is a lot of reading in the world today. All the press that goes around; is she pure and holy?

Far from it! The great majority of the modern press is bad and often bad.

Writers know that the indecent book is read with more greed than others, because it caresses passions; therefore for the sake of profit they do not scruple to sow the moral mud.

Who could measure the enormity of the evil that a bad book produces? How many bad thoughts arouses! How many thrusts to impurity!

And not only is the poison in the bad novel, but also in the indecent magazine and in the periodical.

Every bad book that circulates, is a new wound to the Heart of Jesus, because the souls are spoiled we are heading for eternal perdition.

O dear Jesus; how bitter your loving heart must be at the sight of the sins that are committed because of bad reading: We want to take part in your pain and we want to console you!

The devout souls of the Sacred Heart must hate the perverse press, otherwise this devotion would not help.

Since it is a sin to read the bad book, to lend it, to advise it and to keep it preserved, we promise to Jesus to destroy the bad escape, which could eventually be found in the family. We must destroy it and immediately, without regretting the price of the book. Our soul has cost Jesus his Blood and it is right that we make some sacrifices to save it.

How many pretexts does the devil suggest to prevent the destruction of immoral books! Don't listen to him. It is better to put a book in the fire instead of going to eternally burn in hell. Every bad novel that destroys itself is a devil who takes himself out of circulation.

Let's read good books! No family is without the golden book, which is the Gospel. The life of the saints, especially of the most contemporary saints, how much light they bring to the soul!

When the occupations allow it, read some spiritual pages in the evening and on holidays. Through good reading, anointed sinners have converted, others have become holy rats and others have given themselves to anointed life of greater perfection.

FOIL. Destroy the bad press that was in the family as soon as possible.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, to repair the Heart of Jesus of sins that the bad press produces.

Amen

TENTH FRIDAY REPAIRING WORLD FUN

READING

God does not forbid licit entertainment, because recreation is necessary in life. Many believe, however, that it is not possible to have fun, without giving in to passions.

The amusements that the world presents, especially in these times, are mostly bad or at least very dangerous.

The cinemas are crowded; viewers are eager to enjoy. Since films are mostly immoral, or tending to immorality, who can count the sins of thought and desire that occur during a show? And television in the families of how many moral disasters is causing! ...

And what about modern dances, which are stirred up by the devil for spiritual ruin? The unwary youth wants to have fun and the enemy of souls takes advantage to make the lily of purity stain. How many faults can be committed on dance evenings and parties!

In the summer, we run to the sea. It is not so much the need that drives most to the beach, but the desire to have fun. If a bad voluntary gaze is an offense to Divine Majesty, how many offenses does the Lord receive during the bathing season? Men and women, large and small, in costumes that are usually disjointed, spend long hours in idleness ... and meanwhile sins of scandal, obscene speeches, illicit looks, bad thoughts and desires multiply.

All this wickedness is reflected in the Heart of Jesus, who is forced to say, as one day in Gethsemane: "My soul is sad to the death!" . During the agony of Gethsemane, Jesus turned to the Apostles for comfort, saying: "Watch and pray!" Now he turns to his devotees to be consoled.

We repair the Heart of Jesus, praying for many blind people who run madly behind the fallacious pleasures of life and we promise not to imitate their conduct.

Have fun, yes, but never offend God, trampling on his law.

Never go to a movie show without being sure of its morality; this is obtained after information or with the insurance of the traffic light. If there were any surprises during a show, one would have to get up and leave the hall. The less you go to such entertainment and the more peaceful your soul remains.

It is necessary a little rigor towards young boys and girls, so that they don't often go to the cinema. This fun will spoil them little by little. Parents think about it!

Those who cultivate devotion to the Sacred Heart are not fond of dance evenings. Do not forget that promiscuous dance, especially modern dance, is the real fun of the devil and that Jesus and Satan cannot be satisfied, since nobody can serve two masters.

In the bathing season, if the care of the sea is necessary, we go with all the precautions suggested by right conscience, without being carried away by the current of the bad guys. That one does not go to the sea to cleanse the body and refresh it and at the same time to smear the soul with mud and prepare the eternal fire.

Don't tell yourself: The world is made so great! Let's take the amusements that it prepares us! It is necessary to adapt to the times, as Jesus solemnly said: "Woe to the world for scandals!" that is: Woe to those who follow the perverse directives of the world!

FOIL. To deprive oneself of entertainment, where there is a danger of offending Jesus, and to urge others to do the same.

PRAYER. Every day of the week recite five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five wounds, in reparation for the sins that are done in cinemas, dances and beaches.

PROPOSALS FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE SACRED HEART D1 JESUS TO REMEMBER BEFORE COMMUNION

Sin never again!

They are cruel spears for the Heart of Jesus.

No more dancing!

As you dance, you step on the Heart of Jesus.

No more nonsense!

I am gall, I am myrrh for the Heart of Jesus.

No more low-cut!

If you want to be a friend of the Heart of Jesus.

The films no longer!

The bad movie stabs Jesus.

O Heart of Jesus, saturated with shame, accept this Holy Communion in reparation for the offenses that those who give themselves to worldly amusements bring you. I too, one day, gave you similar sorrows and mystically joined the soldiers who scourged you at the column. Now I feel a lot of pain and I don't want to renew you similar pains.

Accept my poor repair! As one day Veronica wiped your Blood-soaked face, so today I want to wipe away the tears that make you pour myriads of souls into worldly entertainment and do not realize that you are wrong! You are the happiness!

I felt, or Jesus, this happiness when I cried my sins at your feet like the Magdalene and when I received you with faith and love in the Blessed Sacrament.

Come once again into my poor heart! Rest in me! With this Communion I would like to destroy the sins of thousands of souls and thus give comfort to you, most adorable Heart of Jesus. Amen!

ELEVENTH FRIDAY

REPAIRING THE PARTY'S PROFANATION

READING

God is jealous of his day. He placed a commandment in the Decalogue, preceding it with a meaningful word "Remember to sanctify the holidays", that is: "Remember", do not forget it.

The Lord always wants to be honored, but especially in his day. Yet the public holiday is usually the one in which the Divinity is most offended.

Work is a duty; those who work give glory to God. On Sundays and on holy days, those who work without a real strong reason are guilty of grave sin. How many people are waiting for work at the party! How much sorrow is given to the Lord!

Whoever neglects Holy Mass during the week, that is, on weekdays, does not offend God. Whoever neglects to attend the Holy Sacrifice on the feast, if there is no great impediment, commits a serious fault. And how many millions of souls leave Mass on Sunday!

On weekdays, more attention is paid to work than to walking. At the end of the day, after a bit of moderate relief, we usually go to rest. On the other hand, as most people do not work, time is usually occupied in worldly entertainment, in which it is so easy to offend God.

Another easy sin to commit on holidays is the desecration of the Temple. If God is jealous of his day, he is no less jealous of his home. Ordinarily the desecration of churches does not take place on weekdays, because then few people usually go there. During the feast the churches, at least in certain hours, are populated. But how many failings of reverence to God! ... Whoever passes in front of the holy Tabernacle and does not even kneel; who during Mass chat and laugh; many women go to church more to be looked at than to pray and stand bare-headed and dressed with little decency; many others, men and women, go to church to flirt, with a good scandal. And what does Jesus do? ... The Divine Heart, which observes everything, is afflicted ... His divine justice would like to act, as he acted one day in the Temple of Jerusalem when he drove out the desecrators; but his infinite mercy holds him back.

So how many sins are made on holidays! May the Heart of Jesus be repaired with so many iniquities!

Pious souls dedicate themselves every feast to this reparation and here is the practical way. In addition to the prescribed Mass, listen, if possible, to another Mass for those who neglect it guilty.

May all the good works of Sunday offer themselves to God in reparation for the festive desecration, that is to say to this end may Communion, the Rosary, other practices of piety and sacrifices be addressed. Oh, how pleasing this reparation is to God!

This eleventh Friday is headed for this. It is not enough to repair, it is also necessary to promise the Heart of Jesus to sanctify the feast.

The devotees of the Divine Heart indulge themselves in sanctifying the day of the Lord.

Do not forget that those who observe the third commandment of the Decalogue well, are blessed by God in a particular way and not only in spiritual affairs, but also often in thunderstorms.

FIORETTI. Take care that no one desecrates the public holiday in the family.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, to repair the sins that are committed in the feast.

TWELFTH FRIDAY

REPAIRING CRIMES

READING

Life is a gift from God and must be respected in and of others. Woe to those who cut it for their own fault!

The fifth commandment "Do not kill" is among the most important of the Decalogue. To miss this order of God means to deserve its most serious punishments. Just remember the great punishment that Cain had when he killed his brother Abel. Voluntary murder is one of the four sins that cry out most for revenge in the sight of God.

How much pain to receive the Heart of Jesus, when some crime is committed! And how many of these misdeeds are consumed every day! Just enter the prisons to be convinced of the large number of murderers. And by reading the newspapers, how many heinous crimes one gets to know! And wasn't Jesus himself killed by the executioners?

Not only is the Heart of Jesus seriously offended because of the killings, but also because of the shedding of human blood. Who can enumerate the brawls that can happen every day and consequent beatings and injuries?

One would have to be in some large hospital, to be horrified at the sight of so many unhappy people, covered in wounds.

However, the greatest killers are not always closed in prison, as the greatest thieves are not those who are in jail.

If all those who take the lives of children before they see the light were to go to prison, the prisons would have to be multiplied and then more women than men would be seen.

Killing a child a few months old, or rather a day or an hour after God created him, is a greater crime than taking an adult's life. The holy Church strikes with excommunication those who perform this crime and also those who advise or cooperate with it

And why is killing a child before he sees the light a more serious sin than the other crimes? The reasons are different. An adult who is killed will either have missed or provoked the opponent; instead the child is completely innocent. A mature man, who is attacked, could defend himself; the child is in impotence. A killed adult could go to Heaven because he was baptized; the child cannot go to Heaven, because without Baptism.

The number of children killed before the Baptisms is so great that it frightens. Usually the murderers of the little ones are the parents. How many mothers of families, who perhaps attend church, have their hands stained with innocent blood and are perhaps guilty not of a crime, but of several!

The Heart of Jesus in front of so many crimes, certainly bleeds and asks for reparation. May this twelfth Friday serve as a comfort to Jesus. We ask forgiveness from the Divine Heart, on behalf of all the bloodthirsty. What forgiveness and remorse for the guilty, so that they will mourn their crimes and never commit them again! You, or Jesus, who shed your Blood for humanity, repair the Divine Father! Wash all iniquity with your Blood! A single drop of your most precious Blood can erase all the crimes of humanity.

FOIL. To say often: Eternal Father, I offer you the most precious Blood of Jesus Christ, in discount of my sins and those of humanity.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, for the conversion of those who are in prisons.

DEAL

At the end of each decade the Gloria Patri is recited.

THIRTEENTH FRIDAY

REPAIR THE INJUSTICES

READING

The rule to love your neighbor is: do not do to others what we would not like us to do. If the world is full of injustices, it is due to the violation of this great precept.

We must respect the stuff of others, without unjustly appropriating anything from our neighbor. And yet, how many thefts are done!

And on this point there are not only the so-called "professional thieves", but all those who do injustices in sales and purchases, who alter the goods, who keep the money of others received by mistake, who neglect to pay the debts, which do not give the right reward to the workers, who demand too much interest from the money lent, who do not pay back the stuff found ...

Serious injustices are committed in making honest family fathers lose their jobs, in witnessing falsehood to the detriment of someone, in innocently blaming others, in making public an important deficiency that is still secret ...

The injustices of the world are innumerable.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus feels the effects of many failings and feels the pain of the Passion intensify.

This thirteenth Friday of reparation consoles the good Jesus very much and the devotees of the Sacred Heart compete to honor and satisfy him.

Let us say with faith: You, O Jesus, who have been the victim of the greatest injustices, forgive and cancel the injustices of humanity! It gives strength and resignation to those who, victims of arrogance, lie innocent in prison, and to those who mourn the loss of a good name, victims of slander and hatred.

O God of infinite justice, make the innocence of the oppressed shine!

We repair and if necessary correct our conduct. The conscience of injustice does not mind us at all. E 'need to run for cover: return the stuff of others and return the good name to others. Or restitution or damnation!

Can we say that we are always right in dealing with others? Do we not use two weights and two measures? Why don't we treat others like ourselves? Do you want to know, soul, if you are unjust? Think!

Would you like it if others thought badly about you and suspected your conduct? You wouldn't be happy. And why then do you think badly of others? You are unfair.

Would you like it if someone brought your faults and your faults to the four winds? You wouldn't want to. And why are you talking about others unscrupulously, murmuring, criticizing? You are unfair.

Isn't it true that you want to be favored and treated gently? So why don't you lend yourself to others and treat your neighbor hard? You are unfair.

Would you like to be laughed at or know that others laugh behind you? Of course not. And why do you mock your neighbor and make fun of him? You are unfair.

The one who treats others as he would like to be treated is right.

FOIL. Don't think badly of others, don't murmur or hurt anyone.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, to repair the Heart of Jesus of the sins of injustice.

REPAIR ACT

TO BE MADE BEFORE COMMUNION

O most sweet Jesus, whose immense love for men is repaid with so much ingratitude by oblivion, neglect and contempt, behold, we, prostrate before your altars, intend to repair with particular attestations of honor the injuries with which everywhere your most beloved Heart is wounded by men.

Mindful, however, that we too have stained ourselves with such unworthiness, now experiencing great pain, we implore above all for us your mercy, ready to repair with voluntary atonement, not only the sins committed by us, but also those of those who, erring from way of health, they refuse to follow you as a shepherd and persist in their infidelity.

And while we intend to atone for all the heap of such deplorable crimes, we aim to repair in particular human injustices. Oh, could we wash away our sins with our blood!

Meanwhile, as a reparation for the concealed divine honor, we present to you the satisfaction that you yourselves offered on the cross to the Father one day and renewed every day on the altars, promising with all your heart that you would like to repair our sins with the help of your grace. and others.

Accept, please, dear Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, this voluntary respite of reparation and wish to remain faithful in the honor of our neighbor, thinking that we do to you what we do to our fellow Amen!

Say Gloria Patri five times:

Eternal Father, I offer you the wounds of Jesus Christ,

to heal the wounds of my soul!

FOURTEENTH FRIDAY

REPAIR OWN SINS AND FAMILY SINS

READING

Sacred Scripture says: "Do not forget the sins committed in the past."

The remembrance of past sins must not oppress the soul, but must serve as an incentive to resort to God with humility and trust, thinking that Jesus is the father of mercy.

Although the Heart of Jesus has forgiven our sins, we have the duty of reparation.

St Paul says: "Whoever sins returns to crucify Jesus." And how many times have we renewed the crucifixion to Jesus! How many sins done in solitude! How many other salespeople before the next, setting a bad example! How many people have sinned because of us, or by instigation or advice or for not having taken away the opportunity to sin!

In this fourteenth Friday, each one should repair all the evil done in life with thoughts, words, actions and all sorts of omissions.

Say to Jesus: Wash my soul with your Blood! Burn all my wickedness in the flames of your Heart!

It is also convenient to repair the sins of our family. Even when a family claims to be Christian, not all of its members live as true Christians. In every family it is customary to commit sins. There are those who leave Mass on Sunday, those who leave out the Easter Precept; there are those who bring hatred or have the bad habit of blasphemy and foul language; perhaps there are those who live scandalously, especially in the male sex.

Therefore, every family usually has a pile of sins to repair. The devotees of the Sacred Heart make the commitment of this reparation. It is an excellent thing that this work is always performed and not only during the fifteen Fridays. Therefore pious souls are recommended to choose a fixed day of the week, in which to make reparations for their own sins and for those of the family. "One soul can repair for many souls!" so Jesus said to his servant Benign Consolata. A zealous mother could repair, one day a week, the sins of the groom and all the children. A pious daughter could satisfy the Sacred Heart of all the faults committed by parents and siblings.

On the day fixed for this repair, pray a lot, communicate and do other good works. The practice of having some Holy Mass celebrated with the intention of repairing it is praiseworthy.

How the Sacred Heart likes these acts of delicacy and how generously he reciprocates them!

FOIL. Choose a fixed day, for all the weeks, and repair the Heart of Jesus of one's own sins and those of the family.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria in honor of the Holy Wounds, in reparation for the sins of one's family.

PRAYER FOR THE FAMILY BEFORE COMMUNION

O Lord Jesus Christ, let us continuously imitate the examples of your holy Family, so that at the hour of our death the glorious Virgin Mary, your Mother, will meet us together with Saint Joseph, and we deserve to be received by you in eternal glory of Paradise.

O most loving Jesus, who with the ineffable virtues and with the examples of your domestic life sanctified the family chosen by you here on earth, look pitifully on our own, who prostrate before you, invokes you propitiously. Help her benignly, defend her from every danger, help her in her needs and give her the grace to remain constant in the imitation of your holy Family, so that by serving you faithfully on earth, she can then bless you in heaven. Forgive all the sins that have been committed within our family in a moment of weakness.

Mary, sweetest mother, we resort to your intercession, confident that your Divine Son will answer your prayers.

And you too, glorious Patriarch St. Joseph, model of the heads of the family; help us with your powerful mediation and offer our vows to Jesus through the hands of Mary. Amen

INVOCATIONS

My Jesus, the Sacred Body who bloodied in the Garden?

They were my sins. My Jesus, forgive me, have mercy! Gloria Patri.

My Jesus, who was your face who ever slapped?

They were my sins. My Jesus, forgive me, have mercy! Gloria Patri.

My Jesus, who was your body who scourged?

They were my sins. My Jesus, pardon, have mercy! Gloria Patri.

FIFTEENTH FRIDAY

PRAY FOR THE DYING

READING

Time is one of the greatest gifts that God can do to us. By using time, we can enrich ourselves with merit for all eternity. The only interesting affair of life is the salvation of the soul. But everyone thinks that another life awaits us? Does everyone care for the soul? Unfortunately, we live as if we should always remain on this earth. Yet one must die. Nobody can escape this universal law. Nothing is as certain as death and as uncertain as the hour of death.

Be prepared, says Jesus, because in the hour that you do not expect, the Son of man will come. It will come as a thief in the night time. Be watchful!

Not everyone is ready to present himself to God serenely, because many live in sin. But woe to find yourself in God's disgrace at the hour of death! Hundreds of thousands of people die every day. It is the duty of charity to assist them with prayer and other good works.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus, who died on the Cross for all, wants everyone to die in his grace. Since among the dying there are also obstinate sinners, it is better to move divine mercy to make them convert, at least in the last hour.

Jesus does not deny anyone his grace, just as he did not deny it to the repentant thief, before taking his last breath.

This last Friday serves to console the Sacred Heart with the conversion of dying sinners.

Praying for the agonizing should be the concern of every pious soul, for all days, since every day the souls leave for eternity.

Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus was seriously ill; she called a sister and spoke to her: “If you, dear sister, were on your deathbed, oh, how much I would pray for you; I am dying! Pray for me! I need divine assistance so much! "

If a Saint may need dying prayers, what about sinners? So let us pray for this. When we become aware of some dying man, we take an interest in making him receive the holy sacraments. Whoever neglects this grave duty makes himself responsible before God.

If we know that some dying man refuses religious comforts, we offer prayers and sacrifices to God with faith.

If we can, let us celebrate some Holy Mass for his good death. We ask God for some particular suffering or cross for the sake of the irreligious dying person. Then there will be an extraordinary increase in grace, whereby the sick person will recognize his sad state and can easily return to God.

What is done for dying sinners is greatly accepted by the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Four souls can be saved every day by doing the apostolate for the benefit of the agonizing!

The charity we use for others, God will make it one day used for us. When we are on our deathbed, the Sacred Heart will raise up other souls who pray for us.

FOIL. Every evening, before taking a rest, ask us this question: If death came tonight, how would my soul find itself? If some serious sin affects the conscience, we make an act of perfect pain, promising to confess as soon as possible.

PRAYER. Recite every day of the week five Pater, Ave, Gloria, in honor of the five Wounds, for the dying of the day.

REPAIR ACT

(strongly recommends acting)

My God, I wish I could love and honor you as you deserve it; I wish I could render you that cult which is due to your sovereign greatness and repair the outrages that were made to your supreme Majesty. But since I have nothing to offer you, which is worthy of you, and all I can to atone for my sins has no proportion with their number and seriousness, to make up for the lack of my gifts and the insufficiency of my penances, I offer you your beloved Son Jesus Christ; I offer you all the glory which he brought you from the first moment of his conception until his ascension; I offer you all the actions of his life, his Passion, his death; I offer you all the Masses which have been celebrated on earth and which will be celebrated until the end of the world.

I offer you the holiness, the purity of the Virgin Mary; I offer you all the praise and adoration of the Angels, all the love of the Cherubim and the Seraphim. I offer you all the zeal and efforts of the Apostles, all the sufferings of the Martyrs, the piety of the Confessors, the chastity of the Virgins, the prayers, the fasts, the mortifications and the good feelings of all the Saints.

I offer you all the good works that were done from the beginning of the world with those that will be done until the end of the centuries. I beg you to put it aside.

I hate and abhor all the crimes that were committed and that will be committed all over the world. I combine my intention with that of Jesus Christ and the Saints. I want to praise you, love you, glorify you, serve you as they have praised, loved, served and glorified you. Amen!

APPENDIX

Precious advice and teachings for the Christian life

Detention with Jesus after Holy Communion

Jesus, You came into my heart and I believe that You are the Son of God made man; You are the Son of God, the one who created the whole universe; you are the Son of the Virgin Mary, born in Bethlehem, who died on the cross and rose again. I know that You are my judge, that after death you will have to assign me fate for all eternity. My Jesus, you are in my heart and I pray that, on the day of judgment, when you will have to give me the eternal sentence, have mercy; that You are at that moment my Savior, not my severe judge. Erase my iniquities, so that on the day of judgment everything will be purified.

I know, Jesus, that you like the offering of sins; you do not like sins, but the offering of sins, because You yourself have said to Saint Gemma: «Gemma, give me your sins! », And in San Girolamo you also said:« Girolamo, give me your sins! ». If you like this offer, o Jesus, because You enjoy when you destroy the sins of humanity and put into effect the fruits of Your Redemption, then I, Jesus, at this moment offer you with all my heart all my sins that I have done since use of reason at this instant. I offer you, my Jesus, the sins that I know and those that others have done because of me, all the sins of my relatives, especially of my family, all the sins that are done in the world, the sacrileges, the blasphemies, the scandals , crimes, thefts, injustices and hatreds. I also offer you the sins that have been made and also those that will be done. Destroy everything in Your Heart of infinite Love.

How can I, Jesus, pay you homages that a God deserves, I poor creature? Well, I know that in this moment you are in me and you have the heavenly court that crowns you; then I invite the Celestial Court to do my part. Schiere Angeliche, Corte dei Beati, my Guardian Angel, Mary Most Holy, pay homage to Jesus that I cannot pay, because I am not capable of it. Adore you Jesus for me, thank him for me, bless him for me, glorify him for me, love him for me, console him for me and beg him to have mercy on my soul.

Jesus, I offer this Holy Communion to pay an act of homage to you Eucharistic and thank you for this great Eucharistic gift, which you have made to the world. See how many do not thank you for this immense gift! I intend to thank you with this Communion for all humanity. How many bitterness you receive, O Jesus, in the Holy Eucharist, how many sorrows for the sacrileges, for the little faith, for the mistreatment of those who communicate badly, for the frivolities that are committed in church! With this Communion I mean, not only to thank you for the Eucharistic gift, but to repair the sorrows and bitterness you receive in this Sacrament of Love.

My Jesus, I offer this Holy Communion to You also to honor Your Passion and Death, in remembrance, o Jesus, that you immolated yourself for all your creatures. Give, o Jesus, a glance at the kingdom of satan; see how many souls live in sin, how bad there is in the world! Jesus, for your Passion and Death at this moment, give a look of mercy to all the souls who live in sin, who are under the slavery of Satan; have mercy especially on scandalous people, repair the glory of the Father and tear away as many souls from Satan as possible.

Jesus, I offer this Holy Communion in honor of the Eternal Father, Your Heavenly Father; and of the Holy Spirit. I offer it in honor of the Three Divine Persons and also in honor of the Madonnina, my Heavenly Mother; in honor of St. Joseph, of my Guardian Angel, of my Holy Protector and in honor of the whole Celestial Court. Jesus, I know that I am in contact with you, the giver of all good and, as I have offered you my sins, now I ask you thanks and offerings for me and for others. I invoke Your Divine Blood, the tears of Our Lady on the souls of Purgatory. See, Jesus, how many souls are suffering! How many of my acquaintances, how many of mine, relatives and perhaps even souls who are suffering because of me! I recommend to you, Jesus, the most abandoned souls, especially consecrated persons, who suffer more than other souls; I recommend the priestly souls, who are so dear to you not only in this land, but also in Purgatory.

My Jesus, your Divine Blood and the tears of Our Lady fall on the dying. You know that hundreds of thousands of people pass through eternity every day. Think, Jesus, that all eternity depends on the moment of death. I recommend to you all the dying, especially those of today, the most obstinate sinners, who do not want to convert on their deathbed; have the priest found to put them back in your grace; gives them a great pain of sins! Jesus, for your agony on the cross, for that holy death, for the tears that the Madonna shed under the cross, have mercy on the dying and, as you saved the good thief from hell in the last hour, tear to hell this quest today in the last hour of life the greatest sinners who pass to eternity!

My Jesus, you know that suffering is for everyone and you know how people suffer in the world. How many sick people there are! Give them strength and resignation. I recommend to you the souls who despair in pain, those who want to commit suicide. See how many suicides happen every day! Keep souls out of these bad steps!

Jesus, I recommend to you all the Mystical Souls, all those souls that You wanted to prefer with the stigmata, with the mystical life;

they lose all those who have hurt me, those who are not in good relationship with me. I forgive everyone, I want to make peace with everyone. As you use mercy on me, I want to use mercy on others. He also repays in blessings and joys the shortcomings and sorrows, which some of those around me give me, who keep me company in life.

Now, Jesus, Your Blessing, that of Our Lady, descend abundantly on me and on the souls that I have recommended to you.

Jesus, now I'm going to do my duty; I can't stay in church to keep you company. I offer you the adorations that the Celestial Court makes you throughout the day; accept these adorations as made by me and every heartbeat of my heart is an act of love towards you, King of hearts and furnace of Divine Love.

In the Name of the Father, in the Name of the Son, in the Name of the Holy Spirit. Amen ».

THE FOUR COMMUNIONS

Many souls usually communicate once a month, that is, on the occasion of the first Friday. To them I would like to suggest four consecutive Communions. There is never enough communication. Four consecutive Communions, if desired, can be easily done. The first Friday we receive the Sacramented Jesus, in reparation for sins.

The next Saturday, the first Saturday, we receive Holy Communion in reparation for the offenses made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The following day, Sunday, we must go to church for the festive Mass. May Communion be done again.

The fourth is on Monday, because the first Monday of the month is dedicated to the dead. Everyone has their own dead to remember and support; Holy Communion and Mass assistance is one of the greatest suffrages.

In order to make these four Communions it is not necessary to confess every day unless some mortal sin has been committed (blasphemies, impure acts, serious offenses to one's neighbor, failure to celebrate Mass). If the conscience does not forgive serious sins, preceding an act of pain for light sins, one can communicate easily.

To these communions we take the liberty of suggesting the addition of another Holy Communion requested by Jesus our Lord to Blessed Alexandrina Maria da Costa on the first Thursday of the month, in honor and in reparation for the Blessed Sacrament. Together with communion, Jesus requested that an hour of adoration to the SS. Sacramento, all of them testified that they received immense and abundant graces following this holy devotion, remember that Holy Mass, Communion and Eucharistic Adoration are the center of Christian life. To those who will do this for six consecutive months the Lord has promised his assistance with that of Mary at the hour of death and therefore salvation of soul.

«My daughter, My dear bride, may I be loved, consoled and repaired in My Eucharist.

Say in My name that to all who will do Holy Communion well, with sincere humility, fervor and love on the first six consecutive Thursdays and they will spend an hour of adoration before My Tabernacle in intimate union with Me, I promise Heaven.

it is to honor through the Eucharist, My Holy Wounds, first honoring that of My Sacred shoulder, so little remembered.

Those who, in remembrance of My Wounds, will unite that of the pains of My blessed Mother and ask us for both spiritual and corporal graces, have My promise that they will be granted, unless they are of harm to their soul.

At the moment of their death I will bring My Most Holy Mother with Me to defend them ». Jesus to Blessed Alessandrina Maria da Costa

THE WATCH TIME

A devout, simple and useful practice towards the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the so-called "Guard of honor". The Seraphim suggested it to Santa Margherita and it is now very widespread.

The purpose of this practice is to keep company with the Sacred Heart of Jesus closed in the Tabernacle and repair it from the offenses it receives. All this, however, is reduced to one hour. There is nothing obligatory about how to spend this Guard Hour and there is no need to go to church to spend the hour in prayer.

Here is the way to do it:

You choose an hour of the day; it can also change, according to needs, but it is better to always keep the same. When the appointed hour strikes from wherever you are, it is better to go in spirit before the Tabernacle;

the works of that hour are offered to Jesus in a special way. Do your duty with much love and fidelity, treating your neighbor with great gentleness, uniting all the actions you are taking with the merits of the Life, Passion and Death of Jesus for the salvation of souls.

If possible, pray some prayers, or the Rosary, or read a good book.

While waiting for the occupations, keep some recollection.

Small deficiencies should be avoided and some good works should be done if possible.

Passed. the hour, the sign of the Cross is made.

The hour of guard can also be done half an hour to half an hour. It can also repeat itself several times a day.

This practice, which is part of the Apostolate of prayer, can be done in the company of other souls.

Whoever is an apostle of the Sacred Heart, spread the devotion of the Watchtower.

THE HOLY HOUR OF GETSEMANI WEEKLY

Jesus said to Saint Margaret Alacoque: "Ask your Superior to allow you to spend an hour in the chapel in my company, tonight, from eleven to twelve."

Jesus still said to Josefa Menendez: “Come to see me in church and stay for an hour with me!… I recommend the exercise of the holy hour to you and my dear souls, as this is one of the means of offering God the Father , through the mediation of Jesus Christ, his Divine Son, an infinite reparation. "

Holy hour can be solemnly done in church, when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. It can also be done privately, either in church or at home.

Pious souls who make private holy hour in church, there are very few; the reason for domestic affairs is cited. Those who were really prevented from staying in church, could also make holy hour in the family.

How to behave?

Retire to your room, turn to the nearest church, as if to put yourself in direct relationship with Jesus in the Tabernacle, slowly recite the prayers of the holy hour, contained in certain booklets (see on this site the page of the Holy Hour where there are several appropriate texts); or think of Jesus or recite any prayer, for example, those contained in this manual.

This soul absorbed in prayer cannot escape the loving gaze of Jesus. A spiritual current immediately forms between Jesus and the soul; the creature notices it for a deep peace that descends into the heart.

The private holy hour at home can be done when one thinks well. A host of repairing souls can agree and take turns, so that every day, at different times, there will be those who repair the Prisoner of love. When it is possible to form this shift, at least for the evening hours, Jesus is given great consolation. May the Sacred Heart arouse zealous souls here and there, who know how to organize such shifts!

Pious people are strongly recommended to make holy hour at home every Thursday, possibly from eleven to midnight. Who could not respect this time, which is not very comfortable, can make the holy hour on Thursday evening.

CONSECRATION OF THE FAMILY

Jesus wants to reign in the heart of the redeemed and also in the family sanctuary.

The number of families that solemnly consecrate themselves to the Divine Heart is increasing every day. The fruits are abundant: blessing in business, comfort in the inevitable pains of life and merciful assistance in death.

Consecration is done like this:

You can choose a day of celebration, or the first Friday of the month. On that day, all members of the family make Holy Communion; however, if some travati does not want to do it, the Consecration can take place anyway.

Relatives are invited to attend the sacred function; it is good that some Priests are invited, although this is not necessary.

The members of the family, prostrated in front of an image of the Sacred Heart, specially prepared and adorned, will pronounce the prescribed formula, which can be found in certain booklets of devotion (see on the page of devotions the enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the Families).

It is commendable to close the service with a small family celebration, to better remember the day of the Consecration.

It is recommended that the act of Consecration be renewed on the main solemnities of the year.

Newlyweds are strongly recommended to make the solemn consecration on their wedding day, so that Jesus may better bless the new family.

On Friday, do not miss the small light or the bunch of flowers in front of the image of the Sacred Heart. This is an external act of respect, which Jesus likes.

In special needs, parents and children resort to the Sacred Heart and pray with faith before his image.

The room where Jesus has his place of honor, is considered as a small temple.

The Supreme Pontiff recommends that the family be consecrated also to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The two consecrations can be done either simultaneously or at a different time.

THE DAY OF THE CHRISTIAN SOUL

As soon as you wake up, raise your mind to God, to thank him and offer him the works of the day.

If you can, listen to Holy Mass before going to work; it is one of the greatest earnings you can make, especially if you receive Holy Communion.

During the work he raises the thought to God and endures the effort in penance of sins. In contrariety keep your tongue in check; so you will avoid many shortcomings.

If a poor person presents himself to you, do not send him empty-handed; if you can't give much, give at least little.

Make sure you find time to say the Rosary; this prayer attracts you a torrent of graces.

Never sit at the table without having made the sign of the Cross.

If someone offends you, forgive generously, as God generously forgives your sins.

Before starting a work of some importance; turn your thoughts to God and ask for Our Lady's assistance by reciting a Hail Mary.

In happy events he thanks God; in adverse things, say like Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane: "Lord, your holy will be done!"

The reward of the good you do, expect it from God and not from men, who are often ungrateful.

Be a good example to everyone, especially those who do not practice religion; the good example is the best sermon.

Don't be ashamed to live Christianly; be of firm character and you will be highly esteemed even by those who may criticize you externally. The vile are despised by God and men.

Don't let unkind words come out of your mouth.

Use good manner with everyone, especially with those in your home, and patiently endure the flaws of family members.

Thank the Lord every evening for favors received throughout the day.

Never go to bed without asking yourself this question: If I died tonight, how would I find myself before God? ... If your conscience is serene, take sweet rest also. But if some serious sin reminds you of love of heaven, do not close your eyes to sleep without having first made a perfect act of pain, with the intention of confessing to you as soon as possible!

WHO TEACHES

This manual will easily go to certain religious teachers. The good that a teacher can do in a school is very great, since childhood and childhood are the virgin soil, where good seed easily takes root.

The good that the teacher does to the pupils, bring back to the glory of the Sacred Heart. I present an initiative, which is already being implemented in many school settings. It is the practice of the so-called "weekly foil".

At the beginning of the week, the teacher should have a particular good work written in the notebook, especially to be done during the week. Briefly explain the foil and recommend that it be practiced. It will be useful to question the students from time to time, giving some points of merit to the most willing.

the good work will be done by the majority of the pupils and will train them in the Christian life.

The author of these pages is a teacher and can say that the foil initiative is a source of great spiritual fruits.

Foils can be formulated according to age and circumstances. I present some of them:

1) Recite morning and evening prayers and have others in the family recite them.

2) Escape the company of those who say bad words or give bad speeches.

3) Hearing swearing, saying: Jesus, I bless you for those who curse you!

4) Never take revenge, on the contrary forgive immediately for love of Jesus.

5) Don't tell lies; do not swear; don't make others swear.

6) Go to the Catechism every Sunday and bring other companions.

7) Go to Mass at parties and remind others in the family to do the same.

8) When alone, do not fail, because there is God who sees everything.

9) After some sin, ask for forgiveness from God and promise not to do it again.

10) Do some act of charity to the poor people, for the love of Jesus.

HUMAN RESPECT

The respect for criticism of others in doing good is called human respect. The victims of these vices are innumerable.

Why be ashamed to practice religion when you have the name of Christians? Jesus says: "If anyone is ashamed of me before men, I will be ashamed of him before my Father and his Angels."

Many are good with the good; but in the company of the bad guys they behave badly, so as not to look like bawdy and make fun of themselves. They are a little bit of God and a little bit of the devil. Whoever does so, think of what Jesus Christ says: "No one can serve two masters!"

1) you have nothing to reproach yourself about? ...

2) Do good up front and imitate the courage of millions of martyrs! By doing so, you will also esteem it among the bad guys.

REPAIR WEEK RECOMMENDED FOR PIE SOULS

The reparation life is very welcome to the Heart of Jesus. It is fitting that every day of the week be dedicated to the reparation of some kind of sin.

Bear in mind that the following are remedial acts:

all the good works that are accomplished and especially the prayers and sacrifices.

Monday: Your city.

Devout soul of the Sacred Heart, dedicate the first day of the week to repair the offenses that are done to God in your city.

During the day, he often begs for divine mercy for your fellow citizens. Do you think that a soul can repair for many others.

FOIL. Obey immediately, even in unpleasant things, without making complaints, only for the love of God. GIACULATORY: Forgive, O Lord, forgive your people!

Tuesday: The enemies of the Church.

Repair, or pious soul, the sins that make enemies of religion. Jesus said to the Apostles and their successors: "Whoever despises you, despises me."

Therefore the insults which are made against the Pope, the Bishops, the Priests and the persons consecrated to God are addressed to Jesus.

FOIL. Bear the faults of others, without complaining.

Ejaculation. O Jesus, for your mercy forgive and convert the enemies of the Church!

Wednesday: Impurities and scandals.

Repairing soul, console the Divine Heart! Impurity is the sin that people commit more easily and frequently.

Repairs many iniquities and especially the sins that pious and consecrated souls can do.

FOIL. Protect purity jealously: in thoughts, in looks, in words and actions.

Ejaculation. Burn, O Jesus, in your Heart all the bad sins!

Thursday: Your own sins and those of the family.

You, pious soul, have sins to repair and you have a duty to repair the sins of your family too.

How many graces Jesus has bestowed on you and your loved ones! In exchange for receiving love and gratitude, he received sorrows.

Fervently ask for forgiveness of so many offenses and protest before Jesus to want to flee any sin and to make it avoid even in the family.

FOIL. Make a reparatory communion.

Ejaculation. Death, but not sins!

Friday: Souls of Purgatory.

The faithful are concerned to give suffrages to the souls of Purgatory, only to be refreshed and to hasten their entry into Paradise. Instead the main purpose of suffrage should be: to give God due reparation for the sins committed by those souls during eternal life. As divine justice is repaired, the dead experience relief and their entry into Heaven is approaching.

Repair, or compassionate soul, for all the deceased, especially for your acquaintances, for those who are in Purgatory because of you and for all Priests and Religious.

FOIL. Exercise charity, especially by keeping the tongue.

Ejaculation. Let your Divine Blood come down, O Jesus, on the souls of Purgatory!

Saturday: Give honor and glory to God also for other souls.

Jesus suggested this thought to Josefa Menendez: “There are souls who during their life and for all eternity are called to give me the glory that belongs to me and that they should have given me other souls who have damned themselves. In this way my glory does not suffer diminution. "

Repairing souls, every Saturday he raises prayers and offer sacrifices to give God the glory that the damned souls have taken from him.

FOIL. Avoid small voluntary shortcomings with commitment.

Ejaculation. Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning and now and always, forever and ever. Amen!

Sunday: Festive desecration.

The day of the Lord is usually the day of greatest sins. Repair, or Christian soul, for all those who work, for those who neglect the Holy Mass, for the lack of respect in the church and for all the sins that are usually committed in the afternoon and on Sunday evening, because of worldly entertainment .

FOIL. Listening, if possible, to a second Mass for those who leave it out.

Ejaculation. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, the God of armies! Glory and honor to him!

DELICACY OF LOVE

Those who wish to cultivate delicacy with Jesus, put into practice what Jesus himself taught to a privileged soul, an extraordinary victim.

«I like delicacies, because love feeds on small delicate acts.

Power to avoid small infidelities; if you commit any, immediately repair the tear made to my love.

Did you fall into an impatience? Repair with two acts of meekness.

Did you do an act of pride? Repair with two acts of humility.

Have you missed charity? Do two acts of charity.

Have you succumbed to gluttony? Repair with two throat mortifications ... etc.

What takes away. the glory of God must be doubled, possibly a hundredfold ... »

SPIRITUAL FLOWERS

Jesus said to Sister Benigna Consolata Ferrero: "How much I like souls, who know how to offer small sacrifices in secret!"

Therefore, those who want to provide Jesus with mystical joys often offer small sacrifices, in secret, in order to avoid being admired by other dice.

Small renunciations are true spiritual flowers, which in addition to giving consolation to Jesus, attract continuous thanks to the soul, make sins pay for, shorten Purgatory and can bring about conversion to many sinners.

Here is a list of spiritual flowers:

Speak slowly.

Answer sweetly

Sit with composure.

Don't keep your legs on horseback.

Look for less comfortable positions.

Don't lean for some time,

when kneeling to pray.

Do not put on or do it. get your hands on.

Get up from bed promptly.

Always be smiling, even when the heart is bitter.

Generously overcome a sting.

Don't avoid the company of an unpleasant person.

Do not get excited in discussions and easily give in where there is no mistake or evil.

To curb the curiosity to hear a fact or to know an unnecessary news.

Hold your eyes.

Refrain from smelling a flower.

Read a desired letter a little late.

Don't complain about the foods.

Late evenings and in less quantity than one would like.

Give up a refreshment in the summer heats.

Do not eat or drink outside of main meals.

Don't complain about the heat or the cold.

Avoid praising yourself. Don't apologize when you are scolded. Avoid criticism. Accept lessons of humility and charity from those who are not at all humble or charitable and thank humbly.

Pray for those who treat badly.

The suggested mortifications are fragrant flowers and Paradise gems.

It is advisable to copy this small list of spiritual flowers and give a copy to the knowing pious souls.

PRACTICE. Make five special small mortifications every day, in honor of the five wounds.

RECALL

There was before, everywhere, a pious custom, which now exists only in some place. It is better not to let the fire of religiosity go out.

On Friday, at three in the afternoon, the bells rang in the parishes, in the rectories, to remind the faithful of the death of Jesus on the cross. Men and women, in the family and outside, gathered in prayer, reciting Pater Noster or Creed.

Today more than ever it is necessary to remember the Passion of Jesus Christ, in order not to be overwhelmed by the current of evil that is raging in the world.

It is therefore strongly recommended that priests, especially parish priests, ensure that touches of Jesus' agony are played on Friday afternoon; and to the faithful it is recommended, even without the sign of the bell, to prayerfully recite some prayers in honor of the Passion of Jesus. This prayer should be shared in families, in religious workshops and in institutes.

The recitation of some Pater, Ave and Gloria could be enough. For pious persons, especially those who wish to honor the pierced Sacred Heart, the Five Wounds Prayer is recommended, which is found above on the fourth Friday.

How Jesus likes this act of respect and how he blesses those who remember the hour of his death

Spreading this practice is the task of the devout souls of the Heart of Jesus!

Jesus asked Saint Sister Faustina Kowalska to invoke her Mercy at three in the afternoon, the hour of her death "hour of great mercy for the whole world". The Lord wishes that at that hour his painful Passion should be meditated, that Divine Mercy should be praised and worshiped and that the graces necessary for the whole world, especially for sinners, should be implored for the merits of his Passion. ; Jesus thus said: "At three in the afternoon he implores My Mercy, especially for sinners, and even for a short moment immerse yourself in my Passion. it is an hour of great Mercy for the whole world. In that hour I will not refuse anything to the soul that prays me, for my Passion. Whenever you hear the clock striking three, remember to immerse yourself completely in my Mercy, worshiping and exalting it: invoke its omnipotence for the whole world and especially for the poor sinners since it was in that hour that it was opened wide for every soul. My daughter, at that hour try to do the Via crucis, if your commitments allow it, if you cannot enter at least for a moment in the chapel and honor my Heart which in the Blessed Sacrament is a plan of mercy. In that hour you will get everything for yourself and for others; in that hour grace was made to the whole world, Mercy won Justice. "

MONTHLY THOUGHTS

It is very useful for souls who love perfection to take a spiritual thought at the beginning of each month, which serves as personal orientation and apostolate.

Have zeal to make it known, near and far, using all those means that an ardent charity suggests. Communicate by correspondence, enclosing a note in the letters; let it penetrate into Religious Institutes and spread especially in the branches of Catholic Action.

Who publishes newspapers, magazines or religious papers, insert the Monthly Thought.

THURSDAY

On Thursday the Passion of Jesus began. When the Last Supper was celebrated, the Sanhedrin had already decreed the arrest of Jesus Christ, who knew everything and suffered in the depths of his Heart.

On Thursday evening, agony occurred in Gethsemane, with the sweat of Blood.

Pious souls interpenetrate the spirit of reparation, uniting in spirit with the bitterness felt by the Son of God, precisely on Thursday, the eve of his supreme sacrifice on the Cross. Oh, if there was a Union of fervent souls faithful to Thursday's Reparatory Communion! ... What a relief and consolation it would be for Jesus! Whoever cooperates in establishing this "Union" will certainly be well rewarded by God.

PRACTICE:

1) Finding pious souls, willing to receive Holy Communion every Thursday, in honor of the institution of SS. Sacrament of the Eucharist and in reparation for Eucharistic sacrileges.

2) On Thursday evening, make a Holy Hour, in Church or at home, alone or better in company, to join in the sufferings that Jesus had in the Garden of Gethsemane.

3) Organize this Union in parishes, in Catholic Action groups, in religious institutes and also in a private way.

The fruits of this initiative will be immense!

REPAIRING MASS

On holidays it is prescribed to attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Whoever neglects this duty, without a serious impediment, commits a serious sin.

How many sins are made for this omission! To repair this outrage to God, we recommend: the faithful soul listen on the festive day, as well as the prescribed Mass, yet another Mass, with the intention of covering the emptiness of some person, who through negligence has not attended to the Holy Sacrifice.

Not being able to do this in the party, it is advisable to do it on any day of the week, at your choice and more comfortable.

If every devout soul repaired in this way, how many spiritual gaps could be filled and how much glory would be given to God!

Propaganda of this initiative, which so much consoles the Heart of Jesus.

The Reparative Mass has the purpose of giving the Lord the glory that bad Christians kidnap him and the reparation that all those who sin fiercely and never repair do not do; therefore the sins of those who through impiety, interest or negligence refuse to attend Holy Mass are repaired, and all the other sins that are done on earth are repaired.

It is another to attend the Reparatory Mass and another is to have the Reparatory Mass celebrated. When you have the opportunity, even with the help of other people, let the Repairing Mass be celebrated, for your family or city, for your nation or for the whole world.

The Repairing Mass is the "lightning rod" of Divine Justice.

"... With your sins you irritate my justice and provoke my punishments; but thanks to the Mass, at all times of the day and in all parts of the globe, humiliating myself on the altars until an incredible immolation, offering my sufferings on Calvary, I present the Divine Father with a magnificent reward and an overabundant satisfaction. All my Wounds, as many divinely eloquent mouths exclaim: "Father, forgive them! ..." asking for mercy.

Use the treasures of the Mass to take part in the sweetness of my love! Offer yourselves to the Father through me, because I am an Intermediary and a Lawyer. Join your weak tributes to my tributes which are perfect!

How many neglect to attend Mass on holidays! I bless those souls who, in order to repair, listen to an extra Mass during the feast and who, when they are prevented from doing this, make up for it by listening to it during the week ... "

SEVEN AVE AT THE PAINFUL

It was revealed to St. Elizabeth the Queen that St. John the Evangelist wanted to see the Madonna after her Assumption. The Virgin and Jesus appeared to him. On that occasion Maria SS. he asked Jesus for some special grace for the devotees of his pains.

Jesus promised:

1 ° Whoever invokes the Divine Mother for his Sorrows, before death will deserve to do true penance of his sins.

2 ° I will keep these devotees in their tribulations, especially at the time of death. 3 ° I will impress on them the memory of my Passion, with a great prize in Heaven.

4 ° He will place these devotees in the hands of Mary, so that she may obtain all the graces she wants from them.

(From the "Glories of Mary").

PRACTICE: Recite seven Ave Maria to Our Lady of Sorrows every day, adding: Mater Dolorosa Ora pro nobis. (Mother of Sorrows pray for us)

SANCTED SUNDAYS

Once a year, Easter Communion is not enough to live as good Christians. The Council of Trent declared that it is the Church's desire that the faithful, whenever they attend Mass, come to Communion.

Sunday we go to Mass; it is therefore advisable to communicate every Sunday. ADVANTAGES. Sunday Communion:

1) Satisfy the desire of Jesus, who says in the Mass: «Take and eat everyone! ». 2) Actively participate in the Divine Sacrifice.

3) Sanctify the day of the Lord.

4) It gives the strength to live Christianly during the week

INVITATION. The faithful, at least once in their life, for a whole year, sanctify Sundays by approaching Communion.

PURPOSE. Let each one put a particular intention, for example: to repair the sins that are done on Sunday ... Free some soul from Purgatory ... Convert some sinner ... Make a good marriage ... Repair the sins of oneself and the family ... Ensure good death for oneself and for others loved ones ... etc ...

PRACTICAL RULES

1) Communicate for one full year every Sunday.

The practice can begin on the first Sunday of the year, or any other, as long as Sundays reach the annual number.

2) Whoever is prevented from communicating on Sunday, could supply on another day of the week.

3) The chronically ill and those who for serious reasons could not communicate every Sunday, just receive Communion five times during the year, in deference to the five wounds of Jesus, and offer their sufferings: for world peace, for the Catholic Priesthood and for the conversion of sinners.

4) The essence of pious practice is Sunday Communion. The rest is left to the generosity of the faithful.

5) It is advisable to follow the guidelines suggested in the specific book "Sanctified Sundays" to be requested from: Salesian charitable work "Don Giuseppe Tomaselli" Viale Regina Margherita 27 98121 Messina

PRO UNION SEPARATE CHURCHES

One of the greatest religious problems is the conciliation of separate Christian churches with the Catholic church. The Church of Jesus Christ is not yet a single sheepfold under one shepherd.

May the practice of the Sanctified Sundays be carried out to implore the heads of the Schismatic, Orthodox and Protestant Churches from the Holy Spirit, so that they recognize the supreme authority of the Pope, the legitimate Successor of Saint Peter in the See of Rome.

No Catholic remains indifferent to this urgent problem!

Zealous souls spread the benefits of this Crusade verbally and in writing. PRACTICE. Let each believer be an apostle and find at least a dozen people to arrange for Sunday Communion.

(From "Sanctified Sundays")

PRAYER FOR EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK

The Word became flesh and lived among us. Everything we do today will be directed in honor of the mystery of the Incarnation.

Wednesday: To the life of Jesus Christ.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, we adore and love you and consecrate our hearts to you forever. Divine Jesus, we bless you, we thank you for all that you have done for our salvation; give us your love as well.

We adore the life of Jesus Christ and consecrate our body and soul to him, honoring the hidden life that he led with the Blessed Virgin and Saint Joseph, up to the age of thirty and the public that he led for space three year old with his Apostles. Lord, let us in your imitation love to lead a hidden life, fleeing the dangers, the vanities, the speeches, the maxims, the bad examples of the world and the pitfalls of the infernal enemy.

Whatever we do today, we want everything to be in honor of what Jesus Christ did throughout the course of his mortal life, joining our travails with his.

Thursday: At the Blessed Sacrament.

May the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar be praised and adored for ever! Jesus, my Savior, true God and true man, we firmly believe that you are really present in the SS. Sacrament; we adore you, we praise you, we love you with all our heart and we combine these adorations of ours with those which the Angels make you in Heaven. Most holy and most august Trinity, we offer you all the praises and adorations that Jesus Christ made you living and will make you in the SS. Sacramento, for the state of victim, of humiliation, of lowering and annihilation in which he placed himself, to worship your supreme Majesty.

Jesus Christ, my Savior, we thank you for the ineffable love that you have shown us in the Divine Sacrament; do us the grace to love you in this state of humiliation, as it deserves such a great benefit. We make you an honorable fine for all the irreverences, immodesties and sacrileges that are committed and that have been committed against you in the SS. Sacrament of the Eucharist. And to somehow repair such a great evil, we offer you all the homages and all the adorations that the Angels and Saints pay you and will pay you back to the end of the centuries. It does not allow us to be so unhappy as to commit a sacrilege by means of an unworthy Communion, but grant us the grace of always communicating worthily, frequently and above all to the extreme of our lives. Everything we do today will be directed in honor of the adorable Sacrament of the altar.

Friday: To the Passion of N. Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus my Savior and my Redeemer, we thank you for all that you have suffered, until you die for our love. Jesus, my Savior and my Redeemer, we place all our trust in the merits of your death; we ask you to apply the merits. Jesus, my Savior and my Redeemer, grant us the grace and glory you have earned us with your Passion and death. I offer you all the feelings of compassion that pierced the Sacred and Immaculate Heart of the Most Holy Virgin, of St. John the Evangelist and of St. Mary Magdalene at the foot of the Cross, and all the feelings of the most devoted Saints of the Passion. I detest my sins, which are the cause of your sufferings; erase them with your precious Blood.

We adore your five wounds and pray through them to heal all the wounds that sin did to our souls. Everything we will do and suffer today, we want to do everything and suffer in honor of the Passion and Death of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Saturday: To the Holy Family.

O Child Jesus, make us worthy of honoring your childhood, and let us, in your imitation, advance in grace and virtue. O God, we offer you the most gentle Heart of Mary and all the love she has had for you. We offer you all the thoughts of her spirit, all the actions of her life.

O Virgin Mary, Mother of God, we greet you, bless you, honor you, love you as the holiest, purest and most perfect of all creatures. O Mother of Jesus and our Mother, regard us as your true children; we put in you, after God, all our confidence.

O great Patriarch St. Joseph, the most virtuous husband of Mary, from whom Jesus Christ was born, we honor you and congratulate you that the Savior of the world has chosen you to keep him a father's place on earth.

Pray for us that Child Jesus whom you carried in your arms and who was so submissive to you on this earth! Get us, please, the grace of living well and dying, so that we can one day go and enjoy it with you in Paradise for all eternity. Everything we do today will be directed in honor of the Holy Family.

Sunday: To the mystery of the SS. Trinity.

Glory to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit: to the Father who created me, to the Son who redeemed me and to the Holy Spirit who sanctified me. Glory to the Father, who generates the Son by way of cognition; glory to the Son, who is generated by the Father, and to the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son by way of love. Glory be to the Father, who is the principle of the Son, to the Son who is the splendor and living image of the Father, and to the Holy Spirit, who is the love of the Father and the Son.

Glory, blessing, health, homage and adoration to the most august and ineffable Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, only God in three persons!

We believe and adore the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity and offer all the actions of this day in honor of this most sacred mystery.

The author of these pages asks the Readers for a crown of "nine Communions", promising to reciprocate the act of charity with a daily memory during the celebration of the Sacrifice of the Mass. NB the author, that is, Don Tomaselli, died in the smell of holiness, however, he is advised to offer him those nine sure communions which from Heaven he will reciprocate with powerful graces and blessings, assuring us of his powerful intercession. (The Cause of Beatification is being prepared)

THE WEEK OF CHARITY

Sunday

Always aim at the image of Jesus in your neighbor; accidents are human, but reality is divine.

Monday

Treat your neighbor as you would treat Jesus; your charity must be continuous like the breath that gives oxygen to the lungs and without which life dies.

Tuesday

In your relationships with others, it transforms everything into charity and kindness, trying to do to others what you would like to be done to you. Be broad, delicate, understanding.

Wednesday

If you are offended, let a ray of warm and serene goodness spring from the wound of your heart: shut up, forgive, forget.

Thursday

Remember that the measure that you will use with others will be used by God with you; do not condemn and you will not be condemned.

Friday

Never an unfavorable judgment, a murmur, a criticism; your charity must be like the pupil of the eye, which does not admit the slightest dust.

Saturday

Wrap your neighbor in the warm cloak of benevolence. Your charity must rest on three words:

WITH ALL, ALWAYS AT ANY COST.

Make a covenant with Jesus every morning: promise him to keep the flower of charity intact and ask him to open the doors of heaven to you in death. Blessed are you, if you are faithful!

CROWN OF REPAIR AGAINST BLASTE

(in the form of a Rosary, in five posts)

Coarse grains:

We give glory, homage, honor to Jesus, the Redeemer!

To the Virgin Mary

and praise the Saints! Our father..

Small grains:

Lord, I bless you for those who curse you!

O Immaculate Virgin, always be blessed!

Finally: God be blessed! ...

IMPROVEMENT IN TURPILOQUIO

The foul language, or dishonest talk, is one of the sins that so stain one's own and others' conscience. He commits sin not only "who makes the bad speech", but also who "listens willingly".

Do not forcefully speak dishonestly, without fear of criticism and without regard for people! If you cannot prevent it, move away resolutely!

Anyone who makes scandalous speeches proves to be an uneducated person, to have no fear of God and to show that his dead heart is full of moral mud.

Spiritual Crusade

Jesus desires the conversion of sinners. Seek "coredentric souls", that is, to cooperate in the repentance of the traviati, with the offering of prayer and sacrifice.

Good works, however small, acquire great value in union with the merits of the Redeemer. A spiritual crusade is therefore made: to offer Jesus "Five Little Sacrifices" every day, in honor of the five Wounds, and to recite "five Pater, Ave and Gloria" every day in deference to the Divine Wounds themselves. All this good will be used by Jesus for the benefit of sinners. Every pious soul could thus offer every year: about "two thousand sacrifices and two thousand prayers". Oh, if many did this, how many sinners would return to God!

PRACTICE: Find at least three souls, willing to be part of this mystical crusade.
