"I had a heart attack and saw heaven, then that voice told me ..."

I have seen Heaven. On October 24, 2019, it started the same as any other day. My wife and I were sitting watching the news on TV. It was 8:30 am and I was drinking my coffee with my laptop in front of me.

Suddenly I started snoring briefly and then my breathing stopped and my wife realized that she had to act quickly. I had fallen into sudden cardiac arrest or sudden cardiac death. My wife kept calm and once I realized I wasn't just sleeping, she started administering CPR. He called 911 and the paramedics of the city of Tonawanda were home in four minutes.

heavenly place

The next two weeks were told to me by my wife, Amy, since I don't remember a thing. I was rushed by ambulance to the ICU of the Buffalo General Medical Center. Pipes and tubes of all kinds were inserted into me and I was wrapped in an ice pack. The doctors did not have much hope since in this case there is only a survival rate of between 5% and 10% approximately. Three days later my heart stopped again. CPR was administered and I was revived again.

I have seen Heaven: my story

During this time I was aware of a bright and multicolored light that shone near me. I was having an out-of-body experience. I clearly heard three words that I will never forget and that make me shiver every time I remember them, running tears: "You are not done."

During this time I also had a conversation with someone I grew up with across the street in Tonawanda who was killed in a plane crash a couple of years ago.

I have seen Heaven. After nearly three weeks, I was placed in a semi-private room in the rehabilitation wing. I was aware of my surroundings and visitors for the first time since I was hospitalized. My rehab responded so quickly that the therapists were amazed. My minister and my doctor said I was a walking miracle.

I thank God that I came home for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year which may never have happened. Even though I have recovered 100%, I will live with some changes in my lifestyle.

During my hospital stay I had a defibrillator / pacemaker inserted into my chest and I will follow several prescriptions to prevent it from happening again. We pray to ask God for forgiveness.

There is life after death

This experience strengthened my spirituality and eliminated my fear of death. I appreciate much more the time I have left knowing that it can change in an instant.

I have an even greater love for my family, my wife, my son and my daughter, my five grandchildren and my two stepchildren. I have tremendous respect for my wife, not only for saving my life, but for what she faced during my ordeal. He had to take care of everything from bills and family matters to making medical decisions on my behalf, as well as driving to hospital every day.

I have seen Heaven. One of the questions I've had from my afterlife experience is what exactly should I do with my additional time. The voice telling me I'm not done has made me constantly wonder what that means.

It makes me think there is something I should do to justify my return to the land of the living. Since I am almost 72 years old, I have not expected to discover a new world or bring peace to the world because I don't think I have enough time yet. But you never know.
