Heaven in the Koran

Throughout our lives, Muslims strive to believe and serve Allah, with the ultimate goal of being admitted to heaven (jannah). They hope their eternal lives are spent there, so obviously people are curious about what it is like. Only Allah knows for sure, but paradise is described in the Qur'an. What will heaven be like?

Pleasure of Allah

Of course, the greatest reward in Heaven is to receive Allah's pleasure and mercy. This honor is saved for those who believe in Allah and strive to live according to his guidance. The Quran says:

“Say: will I give you glad tidings of things Much better than those? Because the righteous are Gardens close to their Lord ... and the pleasure of Allah. Because in the eyes of Allah they are (all) His servants "(3: 15).
“Allah will say: This is a day when the true will profit from their truth. Their are gardens, with the rivers that flow beneath - their eternal home. Allah is very happy with them and with them with Allah. This is the great salvation "(5: 119).

Greetings from "Pace!"
Those who enter Paradise will be welcomed by angels with words of peace. In Heaven, you will only have positive emotions and experiences; there will be no hatred, anger or disturbance of any kind.

"And we will remove any hatred or hurt from their breasts" (Quran 7:43).
“Gardens of perpetual bliss: they will enter there, as will the righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. The angels will enter from every door (with a greeting): 'Peace be with you, who have persevered in patience! Now, how excellent the final house is! "(Quran 13: 23–24).
“They will not hear evil speeches or errands of sin in them. But only the saying of: 'Peace! Peace! '"(Quran 56: 25–26).

gardens
The most significant description of paradise is a beautiful garden, full of greenery and flowing water. Indeed, the Arabic word, jannah, means "garden".

"But give good news to those who believe and work with justice, that their portion is a garden, under which rivers flow" (2:25).
"Be quick in the race to forgive your Lord, and for a garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous" (3: 133)
“Allah has promised believers, men and women, gardens under which rivers flow, to live there, and splendid dwellings in gardens of eternal bliss. But the greatest happiness is the pleasure of Allah. This is supreme happiness "(9:72).

Family / Companions
Both men and women will be admitted to Heaven and many families will gather.

"... I will never suffer from losing the job of any of you, be it male or female. You are members, one of the other ... "(3: 195).
“Gardens of perpetual bliss: they will enter there, as will the righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. The angels will come to them from every door (with a greeting): 'Peace be with you because you have persevered in patience! Now, how excellent the final dwelling is! '"(13: 23–24)
"And anyone who obeys God and the Messenger - those will be with those to whom God has granted favor - of the prophets, the firm affirmators of the truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And the excellent ones are companions! "(Quran 4:69).
Thrones of Dignity
In heaven, every comfort will be guaranteed. The Quran describes:

"They will settle (with ease) on thrones (of dignity) arranged in degrees ..." (52:20).
“They and their associates will be in (cool) shade groves, lying on Thrones (of dignity). Every fruit (enjoyment) will be there for them; they will have everything they ask for "(36: 56–57).
“In an elevated paradise, where they will not listen to harmful speeches or falsehoods. Here there will be a flowing spring. Here there will be thrones raised high and cups placed close at hand. And cushions arranged in rows and rich carpets (all) scattered "(88: 10–16).
Food beverage
The description of the Qur'an Paradise includes plenty of food and drink, without any feeling of satiety or intoxication.

"... Every time they are fed fruit by them, they say," Why, this is what we were fed before ", because they receive things in a similar way ..." (2:25).
“In this you will have (everything) what your inner self desires, and in it you will have everything you ask for. An entertainment by Allah, the forgiver, the merciful ”(41: 31–32).
“Eat and drink at ease for what you sent (good deeds) in the past days! "(69:24).
"... incorruptible rivers of water; rivers of milk whose taste never changes ... "(Qur'an 47:15).
Eternal House
In Islam, heaven is understood as a place of eternal life.

“But those who have faith and work with justice are companions in the garden. In them they will have to dwell forever ”(2:82).
“Because such a reward is the forgiveness of their Lord, and Gardens with rivers that flow beneath - an eternal home. What an excellent reward for those who work (and endeavor)! " (3: 136).
