The powerful Padre Pio Rosary to ask for difficult graces
ROSARY WITH FATHER PIO
GAUDIOUS MYSTERIES
First mystery. The Annunciation of the Angel to Mary.
The more the graces and favors of Jesus grow in your soul, the more you must humble yourselves, always keeping yourselves the humility of our heavenly Mother, who in the instant that she becomes Mother of God, declares herself servant and handmaid of the same God. (Epistolario III, 50)
Second mystery. Mary's visit to St. Elizabeth.
Your only thought is to love God and grow ever more in virtue and in holy charity, which is the bond of Christian perfection. (Epistolario II, 369)
The true greatness of the soul consists in loving God and in humility. (Jesus in Santa Faustina)
Third mystery. The birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
Oh! prostrate ourselves before the crib and with the great St. Jerome, the saint inflamed with love for the Child Jesus, let us offer our whole heart without reserve, and promise him to follow the teachings that come to us from the Bethlehem cave, which preach us to be all down here vanity of vanities, nothing but vanity. (Epistolario IV, 973)
«Vanity of vanities, everything is vanity», except loving God and serving him. (Imitation of Christ)
Fourth mystery. The presentation of Jesus in the temple.
Jesus is pleased to communicate himself to simple souls; let us strive to purchase this beautiful virtue, we have it in great value. Jesus said: "Unless you do like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven." But before teaching it to us with words he had practiced it himself. He became a child and gave us the example of that simplicity that he would then also teach with words. (Epistolario I, 606)
My good Mother, have mercy on me; I give myself entirely to you so that you give me to your dear Son whom I want to love with all my heart. My good Mother, give me a heart that burns with love for Jesus. (Saint Bernadette)
Fifth mystery. The finding of Jesus in the temple.
Never, dear Jesus, may I lose such a precious treasure as you are to me. My Lord and my God, too ineffable is in my soul that ineffable sweetness that rains from your eyes. How can the torment of my heart be soothed, knowing that I am far from you? Very well knows my soul what terrible battle was mine, when you, my beloved, hid from me! (Epistolario I, 675)
Always recite the Rosary well; you will never do it in vain. (Saint Bernadette)
SORROWFUL MYSTERIES
First mystery. The agony of Jesus in Gethsemane.
Try to always conform yourself in everything to the will of God, in every event, and do not be afraid. This conformity is the sure way to reach heaven. (Epistolario III, 448)
The soul that is dearest to me is that which faithfully fulfills the will of God. (Our Lady in Santa Faustina)
Second mystery. The scourging of Jesus.
We say to ourselves with the full conviction of telling the truth: my soul, start doing good today, because you have done nothing so far. Let us move in the presence of God. God sees me, we often repeat to ourselves. Let us ensure that he does not always see in us if not the only good. (Epistolario IV, 966)
The virtues that are dearest to me are humility, purity, love of God. (Our Lady in Santa Faustina)
Third mystery. The crowning of thorns.
I would like to fly to invite all creatures to love Jesus, to love Mary. (Epistolario I, 357)
Our Lady is our Mother. (San Pio)
Fourth mystery. The ascent of Jesus to Calvary.
I do not want to be lightened on the cross, since suffering with Jesus is dear to me; in contemplating the cross on Jesus' shoulders I feel more and more strengthened and exulted with holy joy. (Epistolario I, 303)
Sanctify the party. (San Pio)
Fifth mystery. The crucifixion and death of Jesus.
Remember and impress on your mind that Calvary is the mountain of saints; but remember again that after having climbed Calvary, having planted the cross and expired on it, it will immediately ascend to another mountain which is called Tabor, the heavenly Jerusalem. Remember that suffering is short, but the reward is eternal. (Epistolario III, 246)
Love the Madonna and make her love. Always say the Rosary. (Spiritual testament)
GLORIOUS MYSTERIES
First mystery. The resurrection of Jesus.
Peace is the simplicity of the spirit, the serenity of the mind, the tranquility of the soul, the bond of love. Peace is order, it is harmony in all of us: it is a continuous enjoyment, which is born from the testimony of good conscience: it is the holy joy of a heart, in which God reigns there. Peace is the path to perfection, indeed perfection is found in peace, and the devil, who knows all this very well, makes every effort to make us lose peace. (Epistolario I, 607)
Second mystery. The ascension of Jesus to heaven.
These forty days that are missing from our ascent to heaven will also pass for us. It will not be days, but months, perhaps years: I wish you, brothers, a long and prosperous life, full of heavenly and earthly blessings. But, finally, this life will end! And then happy us, if we have ensured the joy of a happy passage to eternity. (Epistolario IV, 1085)
- Will I go to Heaven too? (Lucia of Fatima to the Madonna)
- Yes, you will go.
- What about Jacinta?
- She too.
- What about Francesco?
- He too, but he must say the Rosary.
Third mystery. The descent of the Holy Spirit.
Never abandon yourself to yourself; put all trust in God alone, expect all strength from him and do not excessively desire to be free from the present state; let the Holy Spirit work within you. Indulge in all its transport and don't worry. He is so wise, gentle and discreet that he causes only good. What goodness of this Paraclete Spirit for everyone, but what for you most of all who seek it! (Epistolario II, 64)
Fourth mystery. The assumption of Mary into heaven.
Jesus who reigned in heaven with the most holy humanity, who had taken from the bowels of the Virgin, wanted his mother not only with her soul, but also with her body, to meet him and fully share her glory. And this was quite right and proper. That body which had not even been a slave to the devil and sin for an instant was not to be even in corruption. (Epistolario IV, 1089)
There is no prayer that is more pleasing to God than the Rosary. (Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus)
Every day the Rosary. (San Pio)
Fifth mystery. The coronation of Mary.
The eternal doors open, and the Mother of God enters it. As soon as the blessed areas see her, understood by the splendor of her beauty, they move them all jubilant and festive meeting, greet and honor her with the most exalted titles, prostrate themselves at her feet, present her their homages, proclaim her their Queen in agreement . The Holy Trinity joins the feast of angels. The Father welcomes her beloved and invites her to take part in his power. (Epistolario IV, 1090)
Always say the Rosary. Bring the crown with you. (San Pio)
