The role of the Guardian Angel who assist the soul at the moment of death

The role of the guardian angel according to Gabrielle Bitterlich

According to the Austrian Catholic mystic Gabrielle Bitterlich, founder of Opus Angelorum, it is precisely during the agony of the Christian that the guardian angel can intervene effectively. For Bitterlich, the guardian angel is precisely the one who reminds the dying of the facts of his childhood, his first prayers, his mother who showed him the cross and recalled positive memories ... in this way in countless cases he melts into man and woman the hardened crust of distance from God and in these minutes he becomes a child and open to grace. Above all, the guardian angel drives away the terrible seductions of evil demons who try to push the dying man to despair. An angel tries to turn the gaze of the dying person to the cross and the image of the Madonna and to those people who can help him spiritually. Just before he dies, the person becomes like a tired child, who just tries to go home. this is the moment of the direct struggle between the angel and the devil for the definitive conquest of this soul, where the angel fights in his defense like a mother fights for his creature. In the instant in which the soul separates from the body and must present itself to the Judgment of God, even then the angel still has the opportunity to help his protégé by presenting all the good works that that soul has done in life. What happens to the guardian angel if his pro-roof goes to Heaven? The guardian angel accompanies this soul among the jubilation of all the angels who have had some part in the salvation of this person until the throne of God. His service of guardian angel is over, he no longer guides any other person. He will return again at the end of time, at the moment of universal judgment to praise God forever with his protégé. What happens instead to the guardian angel if his protégé goes to hell? Always in her private revelations, Bitterlich writes that this angel will be part of the "martyred angels" that is, she will be part of that group of angels who, despite all their efforts, have had their protégés damned forever. Bitterlich says that these angels wear a red stripe on their dress and are in charge of a special service to the Madonna. What instead happens to the angel if his protege goes to Purgatory? The angel waits until his protege has fixed the sentence and served the sentence. Also in this case, says Bitterlich, the angel is made available to Mary and transmits and implores for his protégé all the help and aid of the militant church, especially of the living who offer the holy masses for the souls of Purgatory and so they reduce their purification, after which the angel accompanies him to heaven.
