Jelena of Medjugorje: Satan's work against man explained by the Madonna
On July 23, 1984, little Jelena Vasilj underwent a peculiar inner trial. The Commission psychologist and psychiatrist was also present that evening at 20 pm. As Jelena began to recite the Pater, she felt internally blocked. He didn't move anymore. I'm not going to talk anymore. The psychiatrist called her but didn't answer. After about a minute he seemed to recover and recited the Pater. Then he sighed, sat down and explained: «During the Pater (which I was reciting) I heard a bad voice that said to me:“ Stop praying. I felt empty. I could no longer even remember the words of the Pater, and a cry rose from my heart: "My mother, help me!". Then I could go on ». A few days later, on the evening of August 30 (the first of the three days of fasting in preparation for the Virgin's birthday party), Mary said to her internally: “I am happy with your participation in the Mass. Continue like tonight. Thank you for resisting Satan's temptation. " During an interview with Jelena (2) the girl reported: Satan also tempts us in a group; he never sleeps. It is difficult to get rid of Satan if you do not pray, if you do not do what Jesus asks: pray morning, noon, feel Mass with your heart in the evening. Jelena, have you seen the devil? Five times I have seen it. When I see the devil I am not afraid, but it is something that hurts me: it is clear that he is not a friend.
Once, looking at a statue of the Maria Bambina, she said that she didn't want us to bless her (the next day was August 5, the Virgin's birthday); he's very smart, sometimes he cries. In mid-June 1985 Jelena Vasilj had a peculiar vision: she saw a splendid pearl which afterwards was divided into some parts and each part shone a little less and then went out. Our Lady gave this explanation of the vision: Jelena, every heart of man that belongs totally to the Lord is like the splendid pearl; it also shines in darkness. But when he divides himself a little to Satan, a little to sin, a little to everything, he goes out and is no longer worth anything. Our Lady wants us to belong totally to the Lord. Let's now mention another experience of Jelena that helps to understand Satan's active presence in the world and in particular in Medjugorje: Jelena told - on September 5, 1985 - that she saw in a vision Satan offer the Lord his whole kingdom in order to win in Medjugorje, in order to prevent the realization of God's plans. "Look - replied Jelena on p. Slavko Barbaric - I understand it this way: many have received new hope in Medjugorje. If Satan manages to annihilate this project, everyone loses hope, or many lose hope.
It is a biblical vision, even in the book of Job we find similar references: in that case Satan before the throne of God asks: give me your servant Job and I will show you that he will not be faithful to you. The Lord allows Job to be tried (cf. Book of Job, chap. 1-2 and also see Revelation 13,5 [also Daniel 7,12], where we talk about 42 months of time granted to the beast that came up from the sea) . Satan fights against peace, against love, against reconciliation by all possible means. Satan is now unleashed, furious, because Our Lady, through Medjugorje in a special way, discovered him, indicated him to the whole world! Jelena Vasilj had another significant vision on 4/8/1985 (while the visionaries were preparing for the day of August 5, the birthday party of the Virgin, according to what she herself communicated to Jelena): Satan appeared to Jelena crying and saying: "Tell her - that is, Our Lady, because the devil does not pronounce the name of Mary and not even the name of Jesus - that he does not bless the world at least tonight". And Satan continued to cry. Our Lady appeared immediately and blessed the world. Satan left immediately. Our Lady said: “I know him well, and fled, but he will come again to try. In the blessing of the Virgin Mary, given that evening, there was a guarantee - as Jelena said - that the next day, August 5, Satan could not tempt people. It is our duty to pray a lot, so that the blessing of God through Our Lady may descend on us and turn Satan away.
Jelena Vasilj, on 11/11/1985, interviewed on the demon topic by Medjugorje - Turin, provided some interesting answers, which we report:
With regard to Satan, Our Lady has made it clear that she is in the wildest moment against the Church. And so? Satan can do it if we let him do it, but all the prayers make him move away and disturb his plans. What would you say to those priests and believers who don't believe in Satan?

During another interview, Jelena added on the topic: If we pray little there is always like a fear (cf. Medjugorje - Turin n. 15, p. 4). We lose our faith because the devil is never silent, he is always lurking. He always tries to disturb us. And if we don't pray it's logical that it can disturb us. When we pray more he gets angry and wants to disturb us more. But we are stronger with prayer. On 11 November 1985 Don Luigi Bianchi interviewed Jelena, obtaining interesting news: What does the Madonna of the present Church say? I had a vision of the Church today. Satan tries to disturb every plan of God. We must pray. So Satan went wild against the Church ...? Satan can do it if we let him do it. But prayers drive him away and thwart his plans. What would you say to priests who don't believe in Satan? Satan really exists. God never wants to harm his children, but Satan does it. He turns everything wrong.
Jelena Vasilj explained that between the speaking of the Madonna and the way of speaking of Satan there is a substantial difference: the Madonna never says "we must", and does not nervously wait for what will happen. It offers, invites, leaves free. Satan, on the other hand, when he proposes or looks for something, is nervous, does not want to wait, has no time, is impatient: he wants everything immediately. One day Friar Giuseppe Minto asked Jelena Vasilj: is faith a gift? Yes, but we must receive it by praying - replied the girl. When we pray, believing is not so difficult, but when we do not pray, we all easily get lost in this world. We must understand that the devil wants to detach us from God. We must believe but also put our faith into practice, because the devil also believes, we must believe with our lives.
During a dialogue with Jelena Vasilj the following emerged: What is the devil most afraid of? Mass. At that moment God is present. And are you afraid of the devil? No! The devil is smart, but also impotent, if we are with God. Then it is he who is afraid of us.
On 1/1/1986 Jelena, to a group from Modena, reported: The Madonna has said many things about television: television often puts her close to hell. Here is a significant statement from Jelena: Evil is a lot, but at the moment of death God gives everyone, young and old, the moment to repent. Yes, even to children, because they also hurt, they are sometimes bad, envious, disobedient, and for this we need to teach them to pray.
In early June 1986 some "experts" of parapsychology were present in Medjugorje, who said they were "called there by a charity". Jelena said: “The mediums act by negative influence. Before taking them to hell, Satan lets them move and wander at his orders, then he takes them back and closes the door of hell. "
On June 22, 1986, Our Lady dictated a beautiful prayer to Jelena, which among other things says:
O God, our heart is in deep darkness; nevertheless it is tied to your heart. Our heart is struggling between you and Satan: do not allow it to be like this. And whenever the heart is divided between good and evil, it is illuminated by your light and unifies. Never allow two loves to exist within us, two faiths never to coexist and lie and sincerity, love and hate, honesty and dishonesty, humility to coexist in us and pride.
Jelena, passing through Medjugorje for the Christmas holidays 1992, opened our hearts to what is living in this time. Every day she feels her inner locutions accompanied by intimate images and seems immersed in an ever deeper contemplation, despite being a student. His latest discovery: "I have seen that the Virgin in her earthly life has never ceased to pray the Rosary". - Like? - Sister Emmanuel asked her - did the Ave Maria repeat to herself? - And she: “Of course she didn't say goodbye to herself! But She continually meditated in her heart the life of Jesus and her inner gaze never left Him. And we in the 15 mysteries do not go through our hearts the whole life of Jesus (and also that of Mary)? This is the true spirit of the Rosary, which is not just an Ave Maria recitation ”. Thank you, Jelena: with this luminous confidence you made us understand why the Rosary is such a powerful weapon against Satan! In a heart all turned to Jesus and full of the wonders that He has done for him, Satan will not find a place.
