"THE KEY OF SAN GIUSEPPE" a powerful devotion to obtain graces

St-joseph

As is well known, Saint Teresa of Avila was a great devotee of St. Joseph, and she used to urge all the faithful to have recourse to the powerful intercession of this Saint: she often repeated that, as the ancient Joseph held the keys of the Egyptian granaries, thus St. Joseph holds the keys to the heavenly granaries, as a custodian and dispenser of the treasures of heaven.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O God, come save me. O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory to the Father

Sequence, to the Holy Spirit:

Come, Holy Spirit, send us a ray of your light from heaven.
Come, father of the poor, come, giver of gifts, come, light of hearts.
Perfect comforter; sweet guest of the soul, sweet relief.
In fatigue, rest, in the heat, shelter, in tears, comfort.
O most blessed light, invade the hearts of your faithful inwardly.
Without your strength, nothing is in man, nothing without fault.
Wash what is sordid, wet what is arid, heal what is bleeding.
It folds up what is rigid, warms up what is cold, straightens out what is misled.
Give your holy gifts to your faithful, who only trust you.
Give virtue and reward, give holy death, give eternal joy. Amen.

Send your Spirit and it will be a new creation. And you will renew the face of the earth.

Let's pray:
O God, who with the gift of the Holy Spirit guide believers to the full light of truth, give us to taste true wisdom in your Spirit and always enjoy his comfort. For Christ our Lord. Amen.

I believe in God, Almighty Father, creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; descended into hell; on the third day he rose from the dead; he went up to heaven, sits at the right hand of God the Almighty Father: from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the remission of sins, the resurrection of the flesh, eternal life. Amen.

To you, O blessed Joseph,
tightened by the tribulation we recur and confidently invoke your patronage, together with that of your most holy Bride. Deh! For that sacred bond of charity, which held you close to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and for the paternal love that you brought to the boy Jesus, regards, we pray to you, with a benign eye, the dear inheritance that Jesus Christ acquired with his blood, and with your power and help you help our needs. Protect, or provident Guardian of the divine Family, the chosen offspring of Jesus Christ; remove from us, O most beloved Father, the plague of errors and vices which amorphises the world; assist us propitiously from heaven in this struggle with the power of darkness, O our very strong protector; and as you once saved the threatened life of the child Jesus from death, so now defend the holy Church of God from hostile snares and from all adversity; and spread your patronage over each one of us, so that in your example and through your help, we can virtuously live, piously die, and attain eternal bliss in heaven. Amen.

Repeat nine times:
Hail, Joseph, righteous man, virginal husband of Mary and Davidic father of the Messiah;
you are blessed among men and blessed is the Son of God who was entrusted to you, Jesus.
Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, protect our families in peace and divine grace and help us in the hour of our death. Amen.

At the end:
St. Joseph, I thank you that you have answered me. I, well knew that you always grant me.
