Does confession scare you? That's why you don't have to

There is no sin that the Lord cannot forgive; confession is a place of the Lord's mercy that stimulates us to do good.
The sacrament of confession is difficult for everyone and when we find the strength to give our hearts to the Father, we feel different, resurrected. One cannot do without this experience in the Christian life
because the forgiveness of sins committed is not something that man can give himself. No one can say: "I forgive my sins".

Forgiveness is a gift, it is a gift of the Holy Spirit, who fills us with grace that flows incessantly from the open heart of Christ crucified. An experience of peace and personal reconciliation which, however, precisely because it is lived in the Church, assumes a social and community value. The sins of each of us are also against the brothers, against the Church. Every action of good that we perform generates good, just as every action of evil feeds evil. For this reason it is essential to ask for forgiveness also from the brothers and not only individually.

In confession the entity of forgiveness creates within us a glimmer of peace that extends to our brothers, to the Church, to the world, to the people to whom, with difficulty, perhaps we will never be able to apologize. The problem of approaching confession is often due to the need to have recourse to the religious contemplation of another man. In fact, one wonders why one cannot confess directly to God. Certainly this would be easier.

Yet in that personal encounter with the priest of the Church Jesus' desire to meet each one personally is expressed. Listening to Jesus who absolves us of our mistakes emanates a healing grace e
relieves the burden of sin. During confession, the priest represents not only God, but the whole community, which listens
moved his repentance, which draws close to him, which comforts him and accompanies him on the path of conversion. Sometimes, however, the shame in saying the sins committed is great. But it must also be said that shame is good because it humbles us. We don't have to be afraid
We must win it. We must make room for the love of the Lord who seeks us, so that in his forgiveness, we can find ourselves and him.
