The Devotion to Our Lady's Tears: all that Mary asked for

on March 8, 1930, Jesus fulfilled the promise made to Sister Amalia. That day the nun was kneeling in prayer in front of the altar of the chapel of the institute when suddenly she felt driven to look up. Then he saw a beautiful woman suspended in the air who was slowly approaching. He wore a purple tunic and over his shoulders he wore a blue cloak. A white veil covered her head, going down to her shoulders and chest, while in her hands she held a rosary as white as snow and shining like the sun; remaining lifted from the ground she turned smiling to Amalia saying: «Here is the crown of my tears. My Son entrusts it to your Institute AS a portion of inheritance. He has already revealed the invocations to you. He wants me to be honored in a special way with this prayer and will grant great graces to all who will recite this crown and pray in the name of my tears. This crown will serve to obtain the conversion of many sinners, especially those possessed by the devil. Your Institute will receive the special grace to convert you members of a distrustful part of the Church. The devil will be overcome with this crown and his infernal power destroyed ».
As soon as she had finished speaking, the Madonna disappeared.
The Virgin reappeared again to Sister Amalia on 8 April 1930 to ask her to have a medal of Our beloved Lady of Tears printed and distributed to as many people as possible, in the form and with the figure that had been revealed to her during the apparition.
The recitation of the Crown to the Tears of the Virgin was approved by the bishop of Campinas, who also authorized the celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Tears in the Institute on February 20 of each year. Furthermore, Monsignor Francesco de Campos Barreto became a fervent supporter and propagator of the devotion to the Lady of Tears and the diffusion of the medal coined to celebrate it. His work crossed the borders of Brazil to spread throughout America and also reach Europe.
Countless conversions have occurred through this new devotion. In particular, thanks to the recitation of the Crown of Tears of Our Lady, many graces - physical and spiritual - were obtained just as Jesus had promised Sister Amalia, when she had anticipated that she could not deny any favor to all those who had asked him in name of her mother's tears.
Sister Amalia received other messages from Our Lady. In one of these the meaning of the colors of the clothes she wore during the apparitions was explained. In fact, he told her that the cloak was blue to remind her "the sky, when you will be exhausted from work and weighed down by the cross of tribulations. My cloak reminds you that heaven will give you eternal happiness and unspeakable joy [...] ». He confided that she covered her head and chest with a white veil because "white means purity", like the candor of the flower that the Holy Trinity had given her. "Purity transforms man into an angel" because it is a virtue very dear to God. In fact, Jesus included it in the list of beatitudes. The veil covered not only her head but also her chest because this encloses the heart, «from which disordered passions are born. Therefore, your heart must always be preserved with heavenly candor ». Finally, he explained to her why she had presented herself with her eyes lowered and a smile on her lips: her eyes lowered are a sign of "compassion for humanity because I descended from heaven to bring relief to her diseases [...] With a smile, because it overflows with joy and peace [...] balm for the wounds of poor humanity ».
Sister Amalia, who in the course of her life also received the stigmata, together with the bishop of the diocese of Campinas, Francesco de Campos Barreto, was the founder of the new religious congregation. The nun was, in fact, one of the first eight women who decided to dedicate their life to the service of God in the new Institute of the Missionary Sisters of Jesus Crucified. He wore the religious habit on May 3, 1928 and professed perpetual vows on December 8, 1931, perpetually consecrating himself to the church and to God.

CROWN "OF THE LACRIMS OF THE MADONNA"
Prayer: - O my Divine Crucified Jesus, prostrate at your feet I offer you the tears of She who accompanied you on the painful way of Calvary, with such ardent and compassionate love. Hear my good prayers and questions for the love of your Holy Mother's tears.
Grant me the grace to understand the painful teachings that give me the tears of this good Mother, so that I always fulfill your holy will on earth and be judged worthy of praising and glorifying you eternally in Heaven. So be it.

On coarse grains:
- O Jesus, in consideration of the tears of She who loved you above all on earth and who loves you in the most ardent way in Heaven.

On small grains it is repeated 7 times:
- Or Jesus hear my supplications and my questions for love of the tears of your Holy Mother.

It ends by repeating three times:
- O Jesus, take into consideration the tears of She who loved you above all on earth and who loves you in the most ardent way in Heaven.

Prayer: O Mary Mother of beautiful love, Mother of pain and mercy, I ask you to join your prayers to mine, so that your divine Son, to whom I turn confidently, by virtue of your tears, will hear my pleas and grant me beyond the graces that I ask of him, the crown of glory in eternity. So be it.
In the name of the Father, of the Son, of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
