and the Work of Living Tabernacles

Vera Grita, Salesian teacher and cooperator, born in Rome on 28.1.1923 and died in Pietra Ligure on 22 December 1969, is the messenger for the Work of Living Tabernacles. Under the guidance of the Divine Master, Vera became a docile tool in her hands to receive and write the message of Love and Mercy for all humanity. Jesus, Good Shepherd, goes in search of the souls who have moved away from Him to give them forgiveness and salvation through his new Living Tabernacles.

Second daughter of four sisters, Vera lived and studied in Savona where she obtained her master's degree. In 1944, during a sudden air raid on the city, Vera was overwhelmed and trampled by the fleeing crowd, reporting serious consequences for her physique who has since been forever marked by suffering. Salesian Cooperator since 1967, in September of the same year, thanks to the gift of inner locutions, she began to write what the "Voice", Voice of the Holy Spirit dictated them by submitting all messages to the spiritual director, the Salesian Father Gabriello Zucconi.

The set of messages, collected in a book, were published in Italy in 1989 by the sisters Pina and Liliana Grita. Vera linked her life to the Work of Living Tabernacles with the vow of little victim for the triumph of the Eucharistic Kingdom in souls and with the vow of obedience to the spiritual father who was also a victim soul for the Work of Love and Mercy of the Lord. He died on 22 December 1969 in Savona in a hospital room where he had spent the last 6 months of his life in a crescendo of sufferings accepted and lived in union with Jesus Crucified.
Through Vera, Jesus looks for small, simple souls who are willing to put Jesus the Eucharist at the center of his life to allow himself to be transformed by Him into living Tabernacles, that is, souls capable of profound life of communion and donation to the brothers.

“Eucharistic Jesus to you, little bride promised to Me. Follow me! And now I try, I will look for "poor brides" like you. Tell me that I am looking for these brides who, over time, take faith and trust from you. You will be the first example that I will reveal to men. It will be greater grace when for the world you will be only a representative figure on which other souls can mirror themselves and come to Me confident. "

From 11 February 2001 the Centro Studi “Opera dei Tabernacoli Viventi” dedicated to Vera Grita and Fr Gabriello Zucconi began its activity at the Salesian Province of Milan. The Study Center has the task of studying and spreading the message of the Work which by the Lord's will has been entrusted to the Salesians to make them promoters in the Congregation and in the Church.

TRUE GRITA PRAYER TO JESUS

My Crucified Jesus, since in the adorable designs of your Love, you enjoyed visiting me with this tribulation, I confidently turn to you who have subjected yourselves to all our sufferings to alleviate and sanctify them. Before you, the most innocent one, who embraced the ignominies of the Passion and the agonies of Calvary for me, how can I complain about a miserable sinner? I accept from your hands what you have disposed of me. I offer you my sufferings in account of my sins and of the whole world. I offer them to you for the Supreme Pontiff, for the Church, for the Missionaries, for the Priests, for all those who are far from you and for the Souls of Purgatory. You who are always close to those who suffer, assist me with your grace and make that as you now want me to participate in your cross so purified and sanctified by these sufferings, you will make me one day a participant in your glory. So be it.

SUPPLY TO GOD, OUR FATHER

O God, our Father, Creator of the universe and of all your creatures, we beg you! Send on men your Spirit of Love, of universal brotherhood. Join your creatures in your love of Father and give us, today and always, today more than ever, your Jesus in our heart.

Grant that Jesus is the Life and the Light that gives life to our hearts, light to our minds, sun that envelops our afflicted souls in its warmth. May he come into our souls, come to our homes, come with us to share joys and sorrows, labors and hopes.

Do, loving and gracious Father, that in each family the Light shines, that Light that You, from Heaven, have given us in the Church: Jesus Eucharistic Love! Arrange for us to know, for his merits, love him, console him, adore him. Grant that every day, every hour, every minute, every moment, we know how to offer to you, our most clement Father, in Jesus your divine son, our will, our heart, our life. Good father, look at us, help us! In Jesus we raise our poor hands so that they work for you, for your glory.

Father in Heaven, forgive the world that doesn't know and doesn't understand. Forgive the rich and the poor, forgive your creatures in Jesus, our Brother. We pray you, listen to us. Jesus and souls, wine and water, union, offering and consummation in Jesus for the reparation of all humanity that groans, for the poor who look and expect from you, Father, your forgiveness now and always. Amen
