Saint Margaret's devotion revealed by Jesus: abundant graces

Friday after Corpus Christi Sunday

The feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was wanted by Jesus himself by revealing his will to Saint Margaret Maria Alacoque.

The feast together with the Repairing Communion,

Holy Hour,

the Consecration,

the veneration of the image of the Sacred Heart, constitute the practices that Jesus himself requested of souls through the humble Sister as forms of love and reparation for his Most Sacred Heart.

So she writes in her autobiography, in the octave of the Corpus Christi feast of 1675: “Once, on a day of the octave, while I was in front of the holy sacrament, I received extraordinary graces from my God for his love and I was touched by the desire to reciprocate him in some way and to make him love for love. He said to me: "You cannot give me greater love than to do what I have asked you many times already." Then, revealing his divine Heart to me, he added: «Behold this Heart that has loved men so much, that it has never spared itself, until it is worn out and consumed in order to witness to them its love. In gratitude I receive from most men only ingratitude, irreverence and sacrilege, together with the coldness and contempt they use me in this sacrament of love. But what is even more painful for me is that, to treat me like this, are hearts that are consecrated to me. Therefore I ask you that the first Friday after the octave of the Holy Sacrament be dedicated to a particular feast to honor my Heart. On that day you will communicate and pay him a fine of honor, to repair the unworthiness he received during the period in which he was exposed on the altars. I promise you that my Heart will expand to abundantly pour out the graces of his divine love on those who will give him this honor and will ensure that others also give it to him ».

Recommend to prepare for the Heart of Jesus feast:

with a novena of prayers, try in every way to attend Holy Mass every day, receive Holy Communion with much love, make at least half an hour of Eucharistic Adoration, with the aim of repairing the offenses and outrages to the Holy Heart;

making small flowers offering in particular the work and the small daily crosses in repair of this most merciful Heart, bearing with love and with a smile the small crosses of life.

During the day, often making acts of love and spiritual communion so appreciated by the sweetest Heart of Jesus

On the feast day of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, as requested by the same Lord in St. Margaret, it is necessary to attend Holy Mass and receive Holy Communion in a spirit of reparation and make one or more acts of reparation for the offenses that the Divine Heart of Jesus receives from men, in particular offenses, outrages and irreverences towards the Blessed Sacrament. To those who will give him this honor he has promised: "my Heart will expand to abundantly pour out the graces of his divine love on those who will give him this honor and will ensure that others will also give it to him"

"I have a burning thirst for being honored by men in the Blessed Sacrament:

but I find hardly anyone who works to quench my thirst and correspond to my love "Jesus in S. Margherita
