Everyone's devotion to our eternal salvation

Salvation is not an individual action. Christ offered salvation to all mankind through his death and resurrection; and we process our salvation together with those around us, especially our family.

In this prayer, we consecrate our family to the Holy Family and ask for the help of Christ, who was the perfect Son; Maria, who was the perfect mother; and Joseph, who, as the adoptive father of Christ, sets an example for all fathers. With their intercession, we hope that our whole family can be saved.

This is the ideal prayer to start February, the month of the Holy Family; but we should also recite it frequently - perhaps once a month - as a family.

Consecration to the Holy Family

O Jesus, our most affectionate Redeemer, who came to illuminate the world with your teaching and example, you did not want to spend much of your life in humility and submission to Mary and Joseph in the poor house of Nazareth, thus sanctifying the Family was to be an example for all Christian families, to receive our family politely while dedicating and consecrating themselves to You today. Defend us, guard us and establish among us your holy fear, true peace and harmony in Christian love: so that, conforming to the divine model of your family, we will be able, all of us without exception, to achieve eternal happiness.
Mary, dear Mother of Jesus and Mother of us, through your kind intercession make this humble offer of ours acceptable to Jesus, and obtain his graces and blessings for us.
O Saint Joseph, most holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, help us with your prayers in all our spiritual and temporal needs; so that we can be able to praise our divine Savior Jesus, together with Mary and you, for all eternity.
Our Father, Ave Maria, Gloria (three times each).

An explanation of the consecration to the Holy Family
When Jesus came to save humanity, he was born into a family. Although he was truly God, he submitted to the authority of his mother and foster father, thus setting an example for all of us on how to be good children. We offer our family to Christ and ask him to help us imitate the Holy Family so that, as a family, we can all enter Heaven. And we ask Maria and Giuseppe to pray for us.
