Our Lady in Medjugorje gave us five stones. Here's what it says
Maybe you too, as a boy, passing near a body of water with your playmates, took well-polished and flat stones, and challenged your friends in the game to those who threw these stones on the water's surface, making them jump several times on the surface, counting the number of these jumps, before the stone sank into the depths of the water. The winner was the one who managed to collect the most leaps.
Or you have thrown a stone in the water of the lake, or of a pond, to see the concentric circles on the surface of the water, caused by the impact with the mass of water, widen more and more and radiate on the surface of the pond.
The same thing happens for those who go on pilgrimage to Medjugorje: he feels his heart widen, he plunges into prayer like never before, so many hopes that spring to mind and bring peace to the soul are born in him.
Famous are the five stones, those five smooth pebbles that David chose from the stream to bring down the giant Goliath (cf. 1 Sam 17,40). In the singular duel between young David, fawn of hair and good-looking, and the formidable Philistine warrior Goliath, it was David's best that he had trusted God ("You come to me - says David - with the sword, with the spear and the rod. I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, God of the hosts of Israel, whom you have insulted ").
Who met Fr. Jozo on the pilgrimage to Medjugorje, has certainly heard of the "five stones", an image that evokes and summarizes the messages of Our Lady in her apparitions to the 6 visionaries of Medjugorje: Vicka, Mirjana, Marija, Ivan, Jakov and Ivanka.
The Virgin Mary puts 5 stones in her hands to bring down Satan who tries to scare us and ruin us. In fact Satan, who in his great pride presumes to be similar to God, would like to enslave us to himself; but despite all his bravado and the strength he possesses, he is unable to overcome us, if we humbly entrust ourselves to God and his Holy Mother. He cannot create a single blade of grass, because God alone is capable of "creating". And God, through Mary Most Holy, also creates his children among the stones of Medjugorje: and there are many. How many conversions in recent years, through the Queen of Peace. She calls all her children, she wants them all safe. It is therefore possible to overcome Satan, but it is necessary to use the appropriate means.
Unfortunately, there is a threefold death covenant: between Satan, the world and our passions (or our proud "I"). To break this bond, this covenant, here are the "five stones" that the Blessed Virgin, anguished by the ruin of many of her children, gives us in her maternal concern:
1. Prayer with the heart: the Rosary
2. The Eucharist
3. The Bible
4. Fasting
5. The Monthly Confession.
“Dear children - as the Queen of Peace invites us -, I invite you to individual conversion. This time is for you! Without you, the Lord cannot accomplish what he wants. Dear children, grow day by day through prayer, more and more towards God ”.
Saint Augustine said: "He who created us without us cannot save us without us!", That is, God wants to need men.
Our Lady takes us by the hand one by one, individually - in fact she wants our "individual" conversion -, and does not look at us as a mass, because for her we are all "children": she wants our eternal salvation and gives us the joy of living.
