Our Lady in Medjugorje spoke about Islam, salvation and religions

May 20, 1982
On earth you are divided, but you are all my children. Muslims, Orthodox, Catholics, all of you are equal before my son and me. You are all my children! This does not mean that all religions are equal before God, but men do. It is not enough, however, to belong to the Catholic Church to be saved: it is necessary to respect the will of God. Even non-Catholics are creatures made in the image of God and destined to achieve salvation one day if they live by following the voice of their conscience rightly. Salvation is offered to all, without exception. Only those who deliberately reject God are damned. To whom little has been given, little will be asked. To whom much has been given, much will be asked. Only God, in his infinite justice, establishes the degree of responsibility of every man and makes the final judgment.
Some passages from the Bible that can help us understand this message.
Isaiah 12,1-6
You will say on that day: “Thank you, Lord; you were angry with me, but your anger subsided and you consoled me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, I will never fear, because my strength and my song is the Lord; he was my salvation. You will joyfully draw water from the springs of salvation. " On that day you will say: “Praise the Lord, call on his name; manifest among the peoples its wonders, proclaim that its name is sublime. Sing hymns to the Lord, for he has done great things, this is known throughout the earth. Gleeful and exultant shouts, inhabitants of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is great among you ”.
Psalm 17
To the choir master. Of David, servant of the Lord, who addressed the words of this song to the Lord, when the Lord freed him from the power of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. So he said:
I love you, Lord, my strength, Lord, my rock, my fortress, my liberator; my God, my cliff, where I find shelter; my shield and bulwark, my powerful salvation. I invoke the Lord, worthy of praise, and I will be saved from my enemies. Waves of death surrounded me, rushing torrents overwhelmed me; the laces of the underworld were already enveloping me, mortal ambushes were already holding me. In my breath I called upon the Lord, in anguish I cried to my God: from his temple he listened to my voice, my cry came to his ear. The earth shook and shook; the foundations of the mountains faltered, they shook because he was indignant. Smoke rose from his nostrils, a devouring fire from his mouth; burning coals sprang from him. He lowered the skies and descended, dark gloom under his feet. He rode a cherub and flew, hovered on the wings of the wind. He wrapped himself in darkness as veil, dark waters and thick clouds covered him. In front of its splendor the clouds dissipated with hail and hot coals. The Lord thundered from heaven, the Most High made his voice heard: hail and hot coals. He threw thunderbolts and scattered them, electrocuted them with lightning and defeated them. Then the bottom of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, for your threat, Lord, for the expiration of your fury. He stretched out his hand from above and took me, lifted me from the great waters, freed me from powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were stronger than me. They attacked me on the day of doom, but the Lord was my support; he took me out, freed me because he loves me. The Lord treats me according to my justice, repays me according to the innocence of my hands; because I have guarded the ways of the Lord, I have not empirically abandoned my God. His judgments are all before me, I have not rejected his law from me; but whole I have been with him and I have guarded myself from guilt. The Lord makes me according to my justice, according to the innocence of my hands before his eyes. With the good man you are good with the whole man you are integral, with the pure man you are pure, with the perverse you are astute. Because you save the people of the humble, but lower the eyes of the proud. You, Lord, are light to my lamp; my God illuminates my darkness. With you I will launch against the ranks, with my God I will climb over the walls. God's way is straight, the word of the Lord is tried by fire; he is a shield for those who take refuge in him. Indeed, who is God, if not the Lord? Or who is cliff, if not our God? The God who girded me with vigor and made my path whole; it gave me agility as of hinds, on the heights it made me stand firm; he trained my hands to battle, my arms to stretch the bronze bow. You gave me your shield of salvation, your right hand supported me, your goodness made me grow. You have paved the way for my steps, my feet have not wavered. I chased my enemies and joined them, I did not return without having destroyed them. I hit them and they didn't get up, they fell under my feet. You girded me for the war, you folded your opponents under me. You showed your back to the enemies, you scattered those who hated me. They shouted and no one saved them, to the Lord, but did not respond. Like dust in the wind I scattered them, trampled like mud on the streets. You have escaped me from the people in revolt, you have placed me at the head of the nations. A people I did not know served me; upon hearing me, they immediately obeyed me, strangers sought my favor, pale foreign men and trembled from their hiding places. Long live the Lord and bless my cliff, may the God of my salvation be exalted. God, you grant me the revenge and submit the peoples to my yoke, you escape from the furious enemies, you make me triumph over my adversaries and free me from the violent man. For this, Lord, I will praise you among peoples and sing hymns of joy to your name.
