The Passion and the Crucifix: graceful devotions

In some serious affliction, take the CRUCIFIX in your hand, get a sermon from Him. What a sermon you will hear!

ALWAYS FOUND your MEDITATION on the mysteries of the PASSION of Jesus, never leave it: expect every day, you will see miracles of God's mercy. Because ... it is the necessary means to comfort and strengthen the spirit. Because ... it is the safest way and the most effective way to become saints; it is the royal way. Because ... it is the DIVINE SCHOOL where one learns the very high science of holiness, that holiness which is the TRUE HOLY, the safest and most precious: this is where the saints learned. In this divine school we will be able to learn: to be humble of heart, - lovers of one's own contempt, - lovers of suffering, - to be sweet and gentle - bendable and obedient, - to be men of great prayer.

Here the loving soul sinks all into that immense sea of infinite charity which renews the spirit and makes it the true delight of the heavenly Bridegroom. Because ... in this school ... there is no deception! Those who understand the CRUCIFIX does not take error. Because ... it is a balm so precious and with so much virtue that it sweetens every labor, it heals every pain. All things will be sweet to you. It is honey, milk and fire for the loving soul. Your heart will soon be pacified. Because ... it is the source to pity Jesus. Because ... it is the door that leads to intimate union with God, to the most sublime contemplation.

Your heart makes you wings of fire to fly to God. Your soul sucks the ineffable sweetness of Holy LOVE, then comes to drink DIVINE LOVE in rivers, in seas ... seas. ..of fire!

A scourged God! A crucified God. .. a dead God! Who? ... For whom? ... It is enough for us to keep an eternity in meditation.

A little strength to return to the open field and preach my Crucified Jesus, who died for us sinners on the Cross and so, if possible, attack the fire all over the world!

Do not lose sight of the PASSION of Jesus, bring the pains of the divine Bridegroom as a jar of myrrh on the altar of your heart.

And let this precious desire drench you all and penetrate you to the bone marrow, you will taste how sweet the fruits of this tree of life are: the CROSS.

Please as much as I know and can: take advantage of that divine science that Jesus as a sovereign teacher teaches you in the school of his SS. PASSION. In the midst of occupations, it is necessary to comfort and fortify the spirit at the feet of the CRUCIFIX in the meditation of his most holy pains.
