The girl next door capable of performing miracles

Today, on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of her disappearance, we will tell you about Simonetta Pompa Giordani, a girl both common and extraordinary.

Simonetta she was an extraordinary girl, she loved life and always lived it with a smile on her lips. Her life hasn't been easy at all. Her family consisted of a severely disabled mother, a sister with Down's syndrome and an affectionate and highly critical father.

After years of apprenticeship and hard work, the girl had fulfilled her dream of becoming aillustrator and designer. In 2008, when social networks did not yet exist, through a newgroup, Simonetta began to have long conversations with Stefano Giordani, a vet 6 years her junior.

Apparently the two boys had little in common. Simonetta attended the Neucatecuminal Way, a journey of faith that had allowed her to continue smiling despite a difficult childhood. Stephen was atheist and totally indifferent to religion. As anti-Catholic as he was, when her mother died, she made her remove the crucifix from the coffin.

Simonetta manages to bring her husband and father closer to the faith

In 2010 the two young men decided to meet in person. It was love at first sight and the girl's faith succeeded within a year in making all of Stefano's certainties crumble, so much so as to push him to enter the Neucatecuminal path. Stefano loving that girl as he had never loved anyone in her life, he understood that the only form of the verb to love was the infinitive.

Yes, the two youngsters they married on June 3, 2012 and the next three years were the best of their lives. The only thing missing to complete their happiness was a son. After various fertility therapies, in 2015 Simonetta was diagnosed with breast cancer. At that moment, suffering entered their lives, but never despair. Faith, friends and the Neucatecuminal community always accompanied them along this painful journey.

In the last months of Simonetta's life, she manages to accomplish the second miracle. His father, always against his choices and his path of faith, takes off his armor and begins to pray.
