The miraculous healings of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes

The story of the miracles of Madonna of Lourdes originates in 1858, when a young shepherdess named Bernadette Soubirous claimed to have seen the Virgin Mary in a grotto near the Gave De Pau River near the village of Lourdes in southwestern France.

One of the first miracles attributed to Our Lady of Lourdes is that of Louis-Justin Duconte Bouhort an 18-month-old boy with tuberculosis bone. Louis was near death when his mother dipped him in Massabielle cave. It was May 2, 1858 and the day after the little one got up and started walking. This case was the first SCTI is recognized officially by the Catholic Church as a miracle of Our Lady of Lourdes.
