The prophecies about the future of humanity in Santa Faustina

In her diary the Saint often speaks of the second coming of Jesus, never speaks of an "intermediate" coming, but only of a second coming as a Judge. The theological question is notoriously open and unresolved: for a normal Christian, however, who reads the last ones chapters of the Apocalypse, two distinct events clearly appear: return of Christ and the Last Judgment. On his return the Lord judges the dead and those who are alive at that moment then inaugurates a significant period of peace ("a thousand years") before the Judgment The Last Judgment would be the summary of the whole story from the fall of the angels, from original sin and for all generations.
The quotations below are taken from the "Diary of Sister Faustina Kowalska" - official edition of the Vatican Publishing House, 1992.
"Before coming as a just Judge, I come as King of mercy. Before the day of justice comes, men will be given this sign in heaven: all light in heaven will go out and there will be great darkness on all the earth. Then it will appear in heaven the sign of the Cross and from the holes, where the Savior's feet and hands were nailed, great lights will come out which will illuminate the earth for some time. This will take place shortly before the last day. " (Notebook No. 1, 35)
"... suddenly I saw the Madonna who told me ... you must speak to the world of His great mercy and prepare the world for His second coming. He will come not as a merciful Savior but as a Just Judge. Oh that day will be terrible! The day of righteousness has been established, the day of the wrath of God before which angels tremble. " (Notebook No. 2, 91)
"You will prepare the world for my last coming." (Notebook No. 5, 179)
"Once I prayed for Poland, I heard these words: - I love Poland in a particular way and, if you obey My will, I will raise it in power and holiness. From it will come the spark that will prepare the world for My last coming" . (Notebook No. 6, 93)
To a contemporary mysticism Jesus would reveal very similar and suggestive scenarios for concordances; here are some excerpts from messages dated 30 June 2002:
“The day when every star will go out, the sun will lose its light and the great Cross will appear in the Sky, very bright Rays will come out of the holes of My Wounds. It will appear a few days before the end. Nobody waits for that moment to change their life because I tell you, it will be very, very painful. Know the world that Babylon is about to fall because the happy New Jerusalem must rise, beautiful as a bride who goes to meet her husband ...
Every day that passes is approaching the great and unique one in which everything will happen: Heaven and earth will communicate intensely with each other, the earth will enjoy the Delights of Heaven and Heaven will descend on earth. Beloved, on that day everything will change, the sun will stop the its course and there will be new things never seen ...
Beloved, you have before your eyes a splendid and luminous example: the Vicar of My Son works with zeal and seems tireless, even if his body is weak, or spirit is strong: I, with Love, support both for the new Moses to prepare the people to enter the Promised Land, happy Land where the Delights of Heaven flow. "
Various attempts have been made to understand what the "spark" of which St. Faustina talks means; some identify it with John Paul II who in his speeches often alluded to a next great change by God.
