The subtle pitfalls of Satan

Don't be upset not all that glitters is gold
Dear souls in Christ, if you have returned to yourselves and have confessed your sins, do not torment yourself. The pitfalls of the devil are often subtle by acting differently than usual. That's how:

A soul contrite and repentant of the evil committed, goes to confession with all the pain and repentance. We are human we cannot remember everything and it could happen that we neglect some aspect. What does the devil do? Try to upset us, to make us believe that in reality God has not forgiven us. It's a lie! He our Savior already knows our evils, knows every sin of ours, confession is not the list of sins, but an act of repentance and contrition that reconciles us to God. What matters is to feel pain for all the evil committed and the strong desire to receive the Father's forgiveness. This is confession.

Therefore, do not be embittered for having forgotten something, or for not being able to find the right words to identify such a sin. Satan wants to take away the peace in our hearts, he wants to upset us and he does it by making the heart of a soul feel dirty. If true repentance in confession has occurred in you, know, you are now free and you have to do nothing but get away from sin. Mary Magdalene, when she prostrated herself at the feet of Jesus, did not make the list of her ills committed, no, she washed the feet of Christ with her tears and dried them with her hair. His pain was strong, sincere, true. Jesus uttered these words to her:

Your sins are forgiven you, go and sin no more.

Father Amorth says: "When a sin is forgiven in the sacrament of confession, this is destroyed! God does not remember it. Never again will we talk about it. We give thanks to God".

Instead of falling into your unnecessary pain, use the time to improve and grow your love for Jesus, asking for Mary's maternal help.

Another of the pitfalls of the even more subtle devil is: To make you seem all in suspense, I will explain myself better:

You have lied for years to the person you love, or have robbed someone ... now you are repentant, you have confessed your sin and you want to return to God. After confession you feel within yourself as if forgiveness had not happened, the devil will say to you: to get rid of this sin you have to confess to the person who lied the truth ... or you have to bring back what you stole from that person years ago or confess what you did ... It is here that you are wrong, I just wrote you that a sin confessed is destroyed, all this is not necessary. If you notice, this diabolical thought will seem almost the right thing to you, but it is not. Behind this affirmation, the sacrament of penance is diminished. "GOD DESTROYS OUR SIN WHEN WE CONFESS". If instead we believe in that malignant voice, it is as if we deny the power of confession and true repentance. But then, the consequences will not bring good results, they will create confusion, division, enmities, disappointments…. this means that it does not come from God. Do not be alarmed, do not let the joy of reconciliation be taken away, rather pray like this:

"Father, take away from me everything that takes peace from my heart, because it prevents me from progressing in your love".

When a person approaches the sacrament of confession, Satan trembles because he knows the power of that Divine embrace towards his creature.
