The invitation that Our Lady of Medjugorje makes to each of us

Message dated January 25, 2002
Dear children, in this time, while you are still looking back at the past year, I invite you children to look deeply into your heart and decide to be closer to God and to prayer. Little children, you are still tied to earthly things and little to spiritual life. May this invitation of mine also be an incentive for you to decide for God and for daily conversion. You cannot be converted children if you do not leave sins and decide for love of God and neighbor. Thanks for answering my call.
Some passages from the Bible that can help us understand this message.
Gn 3,1-13
The snake was the most cunning of all the wild beasts made by the Lord God. He said to the woman: "Is it true that God said: You must not eat of any tree in the garden?". The woman replied to the snake: "Of the fruits of the trees in the garden we can eat, but of the fruit of the tree that stands in the middle of the garden God said: You must not eat and touch it, otherwise you will die." But the snake said to the woman: “You will not die at all! Indeed, God knows that when you eat them, your eyes would open and you would become like God, knowing the good and the bad ". Then the woman saw that the tree was good to eat, pleasing to the eye and desirable to acquire wisdom; she took some fruit and ate it, then also gave it to her husband, who was with her, and he also ate it. Then both of them opened their eyes and realized they were naked; they braided fig leaves and made themselves belts. Then they heard the Lord God walking in the garden in the breeze of the day and the man and his wife hid from the Lord God in the middle of the trees in the garden. But the Lord God called the man and said to him, "Where are you?". He replied: "I heard your step in the garden: I was afraid, because I am naked, and I hid myself." He went on: “Who let you know you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat? ". The man replied: "The woman you placed beside me gave me a tree and I ate it." The Lord God said to the woman, "What have you done?". The woman replied: "The snake has deceived me and I have eaten."
Luke 18,18: 30-XNUMX
A notable asked him: "Good master, what must I do to obtain eternal life?". Jesus replied: "Why do you say good to me? No one is good, if not one, God. You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not testify to the false, honor your father and mother ". He said: "All this I have observed from my youth." Hearing this, Jesus said to him: “One thing is still missing: sell everything you have, distribute it to the poor and you will have a treasure in the heavens; then come and follow me. " But these, hearing these words, became very sad, because he was very rich. When Jesus saw him, he said: "How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God!". Those who listened said, "Then who can be saved?". He replied: "What is impossible for men is possible for God." Peter then said, "We have left all our things and followed you." And he replied: "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the kingdom of God, who does not receive much more in the present time and eternal life in the time to come. ".
