The hour of Mercy

In October 1937 in Krakow, under circumstances not better specified by Sister Faustina, Jesus recommended to honor the hour of his own death, which he himself called "an hour of great mercy for the whole world" (Q. IV pag. . 440). "In that hour - he said later - grace was made to the whole world, mercy won justice" (QV, p. 517).

Jesus taught Sister Faustina how to celebrate the hour of Mercy and recommended that:

to invoke God's mercy for the whole world, especially for sinners;
meditate on His passion, above all abandonment in the moment of agony and, in that case, he promised the grace of understanding his value.
He advised in a particular way: “at that hour try to do the Via Crucis, if your commitments allow it and if you cannot do the Via crucis enter at least for a moment in the chapel and honor my Heart which in the Blessed Sacrament is full of mercy. And if you cannot go to the chapel, gather in prayer at least for a short moment where you are "(QV, p. 517).
Jesus pointed out three necessary conditions for prayers to be answered at that hour:

the prayer must be directed to Jesus and should take place at three in the afternoon;
it must refer to the merits of His painful passion.
"In that hour - says Jesus - I will not refuse anything to the soul who prays to Me for My Passion" (Q IV, p. 440). It should also be added that the intention of prayer must be in accordance with the Will of God, and prayer must be confident, constant and united with the practice of active charity towards one's neighbor, a condition of every form of the Cult of Divine Mercy
