Lorena Bianchetti tells Rai Uno about the city of Ferrara and its miracles

Really interesting the episode aired on Rai Uno by Lorena Bianchetti "A sua immagine". The Catholic-style television episode highlighted the city of Ferrara and its miracles that occurred in history. The television episode airs on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. highlighted the devotion to San Giorgio in the Ferrara Cathedral. But the historical and interesting miracle that occurred in the city of Ferrara is the Eucharistic one.

In fact, on March 28, 1171 while three priests were celebrating Mass as usual an extraordinary event occurred that remained in the history of the Church and the city of Ferrara but above all an event known to all Catholic faithful: the host of the Mass became flesh, therefore the body of Christ.

After that event, the local Bishop made careful investigations and after listening to the eyewitnesses declared a prodigious and inexplicable event that took place that day in the city of Ferrara. The Church of the miracle is Santa Maria Anterior. The interesting thing that March 28 of that year was Easter, one of the most important holidays for Christians and precisely on that holiday the Lord Jesus wanted to manifest the importance of the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Eucharistic miracles throughout history have occurred many times in different parts of the world. Ferrara is one of the oldest and best known. But there are similar miracles that have occurred in other cities such as Lanciano or other parts of the world. Pope Francis himself tells himself that as a Cardinal in Argentina he witnessed a Eucharistic miracle.

On the other hand, the importance of the Eucharist for Christians is not a new thing. Jesus Christ himself when on earth instituted this sacrament for the salvation of all men. Often, however, it happens that throughout history many men forget the importance of this sacrament and therefore the Lord reminds us of all through these Eucharistic miracles.
