Lourdes: giving up swimming in swimming pools but miraculously heals

Lydia BROSSE. Once healed, you vote for the sick… Born on October 14, 1889, residing in Saint Raphaël (France). Disease: Multiple tuberculosis fistulas with large cleavages in the left gluteal region. Healed on 11 October 1930, aged 41. Miracle recognized on August 5, 1958 by Mons. Jean Guyot, bishop of Coutances. In September 1984 Lourdes lost one of his most loyal hospitaliers: Lydia Brosse, who died at the age of 95. He served the sick with all his strength and with all his soul. Why such a self-denial? The answer is simple: he wanted to make some of what he had received. Because against all expectations, one day in October 1930, God, in whom he believes devoutly, has healed the wounds of this little 40 kg woman. Lydia had already had many bone diseases, of tuberculous origin. He had undergone several operations for multiple and repeated abscesses. She was exhausted, thin and anemic because of these bleeding. During his pilgrimage in October 1930, there was no noticeable improvement in his condition. On the last day, give up swimming in the pools. It is on the return journey to Saint Raphaël that he finds the desire and strength to get up. His plagues close. Upon his return, the attending physician notes "a thriving state of health, complete healing ...". During all the following years, Lydia will go to Lourdes with the pilgrimage of the Rosary to dedicate herself to the sick. Only 28 years after his recovery, the miracle is officially proclaimed, not so much for the perplexity of the doctors, but for the slowness of the recognition processes.
