Lourdes: the miracle happened to Sister Luigina Traverso

Sister Luigina TRAVERSO. A strong feeling of warmth! Born on August 22, 1934 in Novi Ligure (Italy). Age: 30 years Disease: Paralysis of the left leg. Date of healing: 23-07-1965. Healing recognized on 11.10.2012 by Mons. Alceste Catella, bishop of Casale Monferrato. Sister Luigina Traverso was born on August 22, 1934 in Novi Ligure (Piedmont), Italy, on the day of the feast of Maria Regina. He is not yet 30 when he experiences the first symptoms of left leg paralysis. After several surgeries on the spinal column, which gave no results, in the early 60s the religious, forced to stay in bed, asked the Mother Superior of her community for permission to make a pilgrimage to Lourdes. She leaves at the end of July 1965. On July 23, during her participation in the Eucharist, she feels a strong sensation of warmth and well-being at the passage of the Blessed Sacrament that pushes her to get up from the stretcher. The pain has disappeared, his foot has regained mobility. After a first visit to the Bureau des Constatations Médicales, Sister Luigina returns the following year. The decision is made to open a dossier. Three meetings of the Bureau des Constatations Médicales (in 1966, 1984 and 2010) and further medical examinations are necessary before this certifies the healing of the religious. On November 19, 2011, in Paris, the CMIL (International Medical Committee of Lourdes) confirms its "inexplicable character in the current state of knowledge of science". Later, after a study of the dossier, Bishop Alceste Catella, bishop of Casale Monferrato, decided to declare, in the name of the Church, that Sister Luigina's inexplicable healing is a miracle.
