Lourdes: incredible healing of Elisa Aloi
Among the many miraculous healings obtained in Lourdes through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, we want to report one of the last in favor of an Italian, Elisa Aloi, inexplicably cured of a multiple fistulous bone tuberculosis on June 5, 1958, a miracle that then gained recognition formal by the Church and the Bureau Médical of Lourdes on May 26, 1965.
The disease began to manifest itself in 1948, when Elisa was 17 years old, with a painful swelling in her right knee: «I could not get out of bed because of the continuous fever and the pains. The doctors of the Bureau advised that to remove the plaster was the medical staff who was treating the lady, so returned to her Messina, Elisa was immediately subjected to new radiological tests which confirmed the incredible event. The professor who had been treating Elisa for years and who, as a last hope of stopping the progression of tuberculosis infection, had removed ten centimeters of bone from his right leg to avoid necrosis, said: "I do not question miracles of God and Our Lady, nor would I like to question the words of our radiologist who says that you have absolutely nothing, not even traces of descaling, but the bone that I have operated, which with my hands I have removed from your leg, he has grown back! ».
