Lourdes: incurable but it heals at swimming pools

Elisa SEISSON. A new heart ... Born in 1855, residing in Rognonas (France). Disease: Cardiac hypertrophy, edemas of the lower limbs. Healed on August 29, 1882, at the age of 27. Miracle recognized on 12 July 1912 by Mons. François Bonnefoy, archbishop of Aix, Arles and Embrun. At 21, in 1876, Elisa fell ill. For six years, she was treated for chronic bronchitis and organic heart disease. Elisa does not respond to therapies and is considered incurable. As a last resort, she went to Lourdes at the end of August 1882. She was taken to the swimming pools on the first day of the pilgrimage and, on leaving, the edemas on her legs disappeared! After a peaceful night she wakes up with the feeling of being completely healed. This impression is certified on his return by the attending physician. His good health will persist for the thirty years that follow before this healing is officially considered miraculous in 1912 by his bishop.

Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes
party on February 11th

Maria, you appeared to Bernadette in the crevice of this rock.
In the cold and dark of winter,
you made the warmth of a presence feel,
light and beauty.
In the wounds and darkness of our lives,
in the divisions of the world where evil is powerful,
it brings hope
and restore confidence!

You who are the Immaculate Conception,
come to help us sinners.
Give us the humility of conversion,
the courage of penance.
Teach us to pray for all men.

Guide us to the sources of true Life.
Make us pilgrims on the journey within your Church.
Satisfy the hunger of the Eucharist in us,
the bread of the journey, the bread of Life.

In you, O Mary, the Holy Spirit has done great things:
in his power, he brought you to the Father,
in the glory of your Son, living forever.
Look with mother's love
the miseries of our body and heart.
Shine like a bright star for everyone
in the moment of death.

With Bernardetta, we pray you, o Maria,
with the simplicity of children.
Put in your mind the spirit of the Beatitudes.
Then we can, from down here, know the joy of the Kingdom
and sing with you:
Magnificat!

Glory to you, O Virgin Mary,
blessed servant of the Lord,
Mother of God,
Temple of the Holy Spirit!

Amen!
