Padre Pio's last day of mass left an indelible mark

Padre Pio he left an indelible mark on the Catholic Church and the communities of the faithful all over the world. During mass he appeared extremely fragile and tried, but his voice rang out loud and clear. During the celebration, Padre Pio uttered words that seemed to prophesy the end of his life. He spoke of the need to be ready to accept God's will at all times and in all situations.

After Mass, many of the faithful present approached Padre Pio to receive his blessing, but he said he was too weak to continue. Afterwards, he retired to his room, where he spent his time last hours in prayer.

The memory of Father Giovanni Marcucci, who had worked closely with Padre Pio in the last years of his life shows a great love for the Saint of Pietralcina. Father Marcucci spent many hours ad assist him during his times of meditation and prayer and had the opportunity to hear his many words of wisdom and comfort. In particular he recalls theunshakable faith of Padre Pio and his constant presence in every difficult situation.

The man also recalled the enormous love that Padre Pio had for his family faithful and for every person he met. It didn't matter the skin colour, religion or lo social status of the person, he felt a great love for everyone and was always ready to offer his blessing.

Padre Pio's life and message remain a beacon of hope for many faithful to this day, and his example of holiness continues to inspire many around the world.
