Limbless mother mourns for her son who died from bullying

To prevent and fight it, it is important to raise awareness in society and create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. But above all it is important to provide support to the victims and help them process the traumas they have suffered.

There are too many stories of mothers who lose their children to people who humiliated them, mocked them, even causing them to lose self-esteem, social isolation and sometimes even death.

This is the story of Allison Lapper, a brave mother who did everything to raise her son and protect him from the evils of the outside world. But unfortunately the life of her son Paris died at just 19 years old.

Allison's story

Allison was abandoned from parents at birth, due to his disability. The girl was born without upper and lower limbs. Allison thus grows up in an institution, and in the 1999 after several abortions, she manages to fulfill her dream of motherhood, giving birth to the baby Parys. In 2003, the woman graduated with honors from the University of Brighton, and two years later she wrote a book " My life in my hands" published by The Guardian, where he manifests all the joy for the birth of his son.

Mother and son in the first years of their lives, they had a complicit and beautiful relationship. Over time, unfortunately, due to the bullying and persecution that she suffered from her companions, Paris began to change.

The boys kept mocking and teasing him about his disabled mother.

The first signs of anxiety and depression, until to withdraw from the world, the boy began to take drugs. Allison, when his son turned 16 years she was forced to give him into custody. For her, taking care of her had now become impossible.

Parys the fragile boy victim of bullying

The newspaper The guardian revealed that, at the young age of 19, Parys was found dead from an accidental overdose.

For Allison, the pain is combined with the heartbreak of everything her son has had to go through due to his disability. No one could imagine to what extent this fragile boy had suffered from the bullying to which he was subjected by his classmates.

It's important to Allison that people understand that Parys wasn't a drug addict and doesn't want to be remembered that way. Parys was just a fragile boy who couldn't fight against a hostile world.
