Mary in Medjugorje "pray for peace and witness it"

“Dear children, today I invite you all to pray for peace and to bear witness to it in your families so that peace will become the greatest treasure on this earth without peace. I am your Queen of Peace and your mother. I want to guide you on the path of peace that comes only from God. For this pray, pray, pray. Thanks for answering my call. "

In the message of April 25, 2009, Our Lady urges us to pray for peace and to be, at the same time, witnesses of peace first in our families, and then in the whole world. The presence in our time of restlessness, in its various forms, is an indisputable fact. Aware of this, we cannot remain indifferent, but we must work with all our strength to create an atmosphere of peace. The Church, spreading the Lieta novella from its earliest days, is called to proclaim and achieve peace at all times. The late Pope John Paul II, in his message for the World Day of Peace, wrote: “We do not affirm that in reading the Gospel we can find prepackaged formulas for the realization of this or that progress in peace. However, in every page of the Gospel and of the history of the Church we find the spirit of fraternal love that strongly educates for peace ". We Christians are called to announce and testify to peace with our own life. Creating peace is not a choice, but an obligation. Peace is not conquered once and for all, but must be constantly built because peace is the deepest desire of the human soul. In his book Fasting with the heart, the late fr. Slavic Barbarić on the theme of peace wrote: “How many times have we lost peace because we have been superb, selfish, envious, jealous, greedy, dazzled by power or glory. Experience confirms that through fasting and prayer evil, pride and selfishness are overcome, that the heart opens, and love and humility, generosity and goodness grow, and that only in this way they fulfill the indispensable premises for peace. And who possesses peace because he loves and forgives, remains healthy in body and soul and is capable of modeling his life as a man, made in the image and likeness of God. With fasting and prayer, human needs are reduced to minimum necessary, the conditions are laid for peace and one is capable of establishing a balanced relationship both with others and with material things. In everything we do, good or bad, we seek peace. When man loves, seeks and lives peace. When he is lucid and fighting addictions, he seeks peace. When she gets drunk, in a way she is looking for peace. Even when he prays he seeks peace. When he fights for his own life and for the life of those he loves, he achieves peace ".

Mary, Queen of Peace, wants to put us in touch with true peace, with her Son and our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the authentic and true king of peace. Prayer is the safest way to Jesus and heaven. In her last message, Mary insistently asks us to pray three times, because prayer is the most righteous and sure way to peace. We wholeheartedly and whole-heartedly adhere to the invitation of Mary, our mother and Queen of peace, because she will introduce us to true peace in the love, closeness and joy of God.
