Marija of Medjugorje: Our Lady showed us supernatural realities

"Many times they ask me:" are you Marija from Medjugorje? ". The words of Scripture come back to me immediately: Who are you from? of Paul, of Apollo, of Cephas? (1Cor 1,12). Let us ask ourselves too: who are we? We don't say "medjugorjani", I would answer: of Jesus Christ! " With these words, the visionary Marija Pavlovic begins her speech at the Palazzetto dello sport in Florence which on May 18 saw about 8000 people gathered, to celebrate the 20 years of the apparitions in Medjugorje. In a simple and familiar way, Marjia turned to those present, sharing her experience as a visionary and her feelings as a Christian, committed, like all of us, to walking the path of holiness. "I didn't want Our Lady to appear to me, but she appeared" Marija continues. “I asked her once: why me? Even today I remember his smile: God allowed me and I chose you! Said the Gospa. But too many times, because of this, people put us on a pedestal: they want to make us saints ... It is true, I have chosen the way of holiness, but I am not yet a saint! The temptation to "sanctify" people who experience supernatural experiences ahead of time is widespread, but unfortunately reveals a poor knowledge of the world of God and a veiled fetishism. By attaching to the person chosen as an instrument by God, one tries in some way to steal God himself who manifests himself in a sensitive way. "It is difficult when people consider you holy and you know you are not," reiterates Marija. “On this path I struggle like everyone else; it is not always easy for me to love, fast, pray. I don't feel blessed just because Our Lady appears to me! I live my life in the world as a woman, wife, mother ... Someone even takes us for magicians and ask that the future be predicted! ". It is a clear exhortation that comes to us from a visionary who has been meeting daily with the Mother of God for twenty years; it is the invitation not to be looked at as an ideal, like a diva. In fact, the visionaries are only the mirror of a supernatural reality: they see it and reflect it so that the community of the faithful can somehow perceive its image and be enriched by it. “Our Lady has shown us different supernatural realities, including those dimensions in which we will find ourselves after our death. At the end he said to us: You have seen, now testify! I believe that our main task is to witness what we see but also to experience firsthand the teachings of the Virgin, who is not only a mother but also a teacher, sister and friend. With our life, make others fall in love with you.

We made ourselves available to any type of investigation and medical examination only to attract non-believers to the faith and for the faithful to believe more. Now it is important to persevere for this tree that the Queen of Peace has planted to grow more and more. In reality so far, from a small seed it has become, after twenty years, a large tree that with its fronds gives shade to the extreme ends of the world. Every day we witness the birth of a new prayer group inspired by Medjugorje, even in China, where the Christian faith is strongly persecuted ". It is a speech full of ideas but above all that underlines the importance of an authentic spiritual journey, rooted in faith, hope and charity, for all those whom the Lord has chosen as his instruments and who live mystical experiences of different nature . “Our Lady once said: In this mosaic every person is important…. Let each one discover his task through prayer and be able to say to himself "I am important in the eyes of God!". Then it will be easy to put into practice the command of Jesus: What you hear in your ear preach it on the roofs (Mk 10, 27). "

Thus ends Marija Pavlovic, but she also immediately puts into practice the exhortations that she has suggested, remaining in prayer with the thousands of participants. After the rosary led by her, during the Eucharistic adoration, the apparition of the Virgin sealed all the speeches made also by the other participants who, with their interventions, had drawn the wide panorama of the movement linked to Medjugorje (p. Jozo, Jelena, D. Amorth, P. Leonard, P. Divo Barsotti, P. G. Sgreva, A. Bonifacio, P. Barnaba ...). Many different pieces, original in color, shape and texture, but all important for composing that wonderful mosaic that Our Lady wants to offer to the world.
