Marija of Medjugorje: when will the apparitions cease?

Here are some passages from the interview granted to Monza on January 14 by Marija to Alberto Bonifacio. When asked if Marija is aware of what the Pope thinks about Medjugorje, the answer is very complex and full of testimonies that prove - as everyone knows - a real interest of the Pope, who "also reads the Echo of Medjugorje". And when Alberto asks: "But do you personally believe in Medjugorje?" Marija replies: "Yes. Yes, because on several occasions he said he believes. " Subsequently A. asked if it is true that Our Lady asked the visionaries to choose religious life. The answer is no! Our Lady never made an explicit invitation for religious life. [The desire expressed at the beginning by the Madonna was neither an invitation nor a solicitation, cf also St. Paul, 1 Cor 7,7: XNUMX, ed.]

At the beginning we had read about Lourdes and Fatima and we thought that the apparitions lasted a maximum of 18 times as in Lourdes and that our life should end in the convent as for Bernardetta and Lucia. I was convinced a thousand by a thousand that I had to enter the convent, so also Ivan and the others sought this path ”. Then with simplicity Marija tells how various events convinced her to choose married life and how she now manages to reconcile family life (she has three children) with the role of visionary.

A. asks if after more than 16 years of apparitions his relationship with the Madonna has changed and M. replies that nothing has changed, that Maria always appears the same, indeed if possible "even younger than the first days. Only, - adds Marija - now we are more mature and our growth continues, thanks to God with Our Lady ". M. then underlines, also through testimonies of which he is directly aware, how through suffering it is possible to meet Jesus and therefore how the cross is truly a mystery of salvation and invites us to offer suffering for the brothers and for the souls of purgatory. A., faced with the suffering of a sister, asks if the offering of Jesus on the cross, to the last drop of blood, was not enough for our salvation: why does God also ask for our suffering in the salvific plan? Marija replies: "We often say that suffering is a mystery, but I always say: 'Through suffering we meet Jesus on the cross'. How many people tell me: if I had not had this suffering, I would never have approached Jesus ... We complain so much about the death of our loved ones: he was young, he could have escaped more. We would like a long life, but we no longer think of eternity. We pray for the people who assist the suffering, who help them offer suffering for others too.

When asked about the duration of the apparitions M. replies that he does not know if and when the apparitions will end and adds: "Once we asked Our Lady when the apparitions will end" and Our Lady replied: "Have you tired of me?" From that moment on we said: "We don't ask anymore". A. asks: "With the continuation of such a perverse world, we see abortions, divorces, crime, marginalization, wars ... Do you think Our Lady will continue to shed tears or will punishments come upon humanity?". M. replies: "I always say that Our Lady wants, like a teacher, to re-educate us ... A person who does not have God in the first place of his life is capable of doing everything, stealing, killing, etc.". Put God first: everything else comes as a result. "Here, I think that Our Lady came to re-educate us to faith ... I saw that Our Lady just brings us Jesus, shows us the Church, shows us the prayer group where we can meet and pray together, help each other, exchange the experiences of life daily. Every day Our Lady throws us in one way or another in this reality of faith. At the moment you said: faith is a gift, through prayer you can have this gift of faith and it tells us: pray for this gift of faith ”.
