Benedict XVI, the Pope emeritus, on the subject of homosexual unions, believes that they are unnatural and outside the statutes of morally correct.

Benedict stressed that one of the benefits that marriage offers is the power to conceive and give life, something that has been established since creation and that gay unions will never be able to achieve.
