Medjugorje: I was not yet conscious of being healed, I took my crutches under my arm and looked at my legs

On July 25, 1987 an American lady named Rita Klaus was presented in the parish office of Medjugorje, accompanied by her husband and her three children. They came from Evana City (Pennsylvania). Women full of life, agile and with a serene gaze, she had ardently desired to palate with the Parish Fathers. The further he went on in his story, the more amazed the Fathers who listened to it. He told the most salient stages of his life, which had been very troubled. Suddenly, inexplicably, his life became as wonderful as poetry, happy as spring, rich as autumn full of fruit. Rita knows what happened to her: she resolutely claims to have been miraculously cured - through the intercession of Our Lady - from an incurable disease, multiple sclerosis. But here's his story:

“It was my intention to become religious, and therefore I entered a convent. In 1960 I was about to make vows, when suddenly I was struck by measles, which gradually turned into multiple sclerosis. It was sufficient reason to be discharged from the convent. Because of my illness, I was unable to find a job except when I moved to another location, where I was not known. I met my husband there. But I didn't tell him about my illness, either, and I acknowledge that I wasn't correct about him. It was 1968. My pregnancies began, and with that the evil progressed. Doctors advised me to reveal my illness to her husband. I did, and he was so offended that he thought about divorce. Fortunately, everything came together. I was disheartened and angry with myself and with God. I could not understand why this misfortune had happened to me.

One day I went to a prayer meeting, where a priest prayed over me. I was so happy with it that my husband noticed it too. I continued to work as a teacher, despite the progress of evil. They took me in a wheelchair to school and to mass. I couldn't even write anymore. I was like a child, incapable of everything. The nights were particularly painful for me. In 1985 the evil worsened to such an extent that I could no longer even sit alone. My husband was crying a lot, which was very painful for me.

In 1986, on the Readers Digest I read a report on the events of Medjugorje. In one night I read Laurentin's book on the apparitions. After reading, I was wondering what I could do to honor Our Lady. I prayed continuously, but certainly not for my recovery, considering it of too much interest.

On June 18, in the middle of the night, I heard a voice saying to me: "Why don't you pray for your recovery?" Then I immediately began to pray like this: “Dear Madonna, Queen of Peace, I believe that you appear to the boys of Medjugorje. Please ask your Son to heal me. " I immediately felt a kind of current flowing through me and a strange heat in the parts of my body that ached. So I fell asleep. In waking up, I no longer thought of what I had felt during the night. Her husband prepared me for school. At school, as usual, at 10,30 there was a break. To my surprise, I realized at that moment that I could move on my own, with my legs, what I hadn't done for over 8 years. I don't even know how I got home. I wanted to show my husband how I could move my fingers. I played, but there was nobody in the house. I was very anxious. I still didn't know I was healed! Without any help, I got up from the wheelchair. I went up the stairs, with all the medical equipment I was wearing. I leaned over to take off my shoes and ... at that moment I realized that my legs were perfectly healed.

I began to cry and exclaim: "My God, thank you! Thank you, O dear Madonna! ”. I was not yet aware that I was healed. I took my crutches under my arm and looked at my legs. They were like those of healthy people. So I started running down the stairs, praising and glorifying God. I called a friend. Upon arrival, I jumped for joy like a child. She also joined me in praise of God. When my husband and children returned home, they were amazed. I said to them, “Jesus and Mary healed me. The doctors, on hearing the news, did not believe that I was healed. After visiting me, they declared that they could not explain it. They were deeply moved. Blessed be the Name of God! From my mouth it will never cease! praise to God and Our Lady. Tonight I will attend Mass with the other faithful, to thank God and Our Lady again ".

From the wheelchair, Rita switched to the bicycle, as if she had returned to her youth.
